  • cool kuckt auf mich bin n hamster

  • Love the way everyone cheered!

  • A really powerfull piece for sure. Still sends shivers down my spine when i heard it. I just love the guy at 5:00 and the accomplished look on his face. Almost like he's saying..,. "Fuck yeah.. Done my job.."

  • i started with ff7 years ago... became a ff-fan... played all ff´s since the 7th.. the music of ff is part of my life

  • This music destroys all ocarina songs of Zelda OT

  • i dont cry because this song itself is sad... i cry because i remember a badass guy with a 6ft long masamune shanked my favorite girl in the back and caused this song to play... how am i supposed to fight jenova if i got all these damn tears in my eyes!! damn youuuuuuu sephiroth!! rage!!! lol (<--me 15 years ago... still havent forgiven him, tho, he's still pretty sick. lol)

  • when i hear this, i closed my eyes....cannot closed any longer, i'm going to cry. i opened my eyes back...i don't want others see i'm cry.

  • This music is emotional enough WITHOUT the story... but playing the game is omg... tears every time

  • I love rock 'n roll, indie, dance, even some rap, but in my mind, this is true music! Emotion, tranquility, exhilaration, nothing can prepare you for the epicness of entering a final fantasy world! =)

  • Tetsuya Nomura: "[...] Now, when I reflect on Final Fantasy VII, the fact that fans were so offended by her sudden death probably means that we were successful with her character. If fans had simply accepted her death, that would have meant she wasn't an effective character."

    -When speaking of Aerith

  • @Suik1324 Tetsuya Nomura:

  • First and only time I ever cried when playing any game of the FF-series. Ever since I heard this song I've been searching high and low for something more beautiful than this. Let's just say that I'm still looking for it... Only piece that's come close is "To Zanarkand", which also is an Uematsu piece

Ergo, Uematsu = Musical genius :)

  • Poor Aerith.. Why FF VII didn't have auto life?

Somebody please give her phoenix down..

  • @bebekkurus

lol, wouldn't that have been some shit. Cloud's holding her balling his eyes out and then Barrett comes in and is like "Yo Cloud, I got this", and phoenix downs her back up.

  • lol...this make me remember when i almost cry because of aerith death scene

  • @noobkillah17

Omnislash? It was just a bunch of colorful slashes in different directions.

If it were Tifa's Limit Breaks or Cid's, then it would have been awesome. Or if it were something that was only useable right there, but it was not. It was just Omnislash. Obtainable in Disk 1.

  • the songs so beautiful im crying :,) encore!

  • give her a damn phoenix down dammit!!!!

  • Bring on the tears. Every single time.

  • FFVII was a good game up until Aerith died... then it went to hell. BEST MUSIC EVER

  • I LOVE ARIETH SO MUCH

  • i loveeee this song very much...

  • don't know how I feel about this being studied as "classical gaming literature." I hope the music lives on, but it's defiantly not classical. Maybe as a study on the music of the era =D.

Also, rude ass audience clapping when the piano started....fagots...

  • @LesDragoons: Well, the Theme of Love from FFIV is in Japanese textbooks for music. So obviously something is being done correctly!

  • Aerith Theme --> Aria di Mezzo Carattere from FFVI

  • ow c'mon this good stuff for indonesia

  • 10 ppl must've got impaled by Sephiroth...

  • Comment removed

  • who knew when i picked up that box from the games store just what id let myself in for ....

  • Ah, it brings back the most depressing part of playing FFVII. It's really really touching and to think that only happened in Disc 2.

  • 10 kids clearly didn't get a Playstation in 1997.

  • this arrangement for this song is just heavenly :)

  • i love this song

  • There will be a new age of fantasy and loving memories upon the Final Fantasy 7

Ahhh I hope these kid will be useful of making new age game ost

  • This is like a tranquilizer dart to me.

  • This song ALWAYS gives me the chills... Me and my buddies are workin on an acoustic version of this song...

  • just wonderful i always cry because of aerith ....... what a woman.... ^.^

  • Sephiroth killed 10 people

  • @mycah808 yea i did. Who could hate this song?

  • @sephiroth21347 Aerith fans.. They had grudge with sepiroth..

  • @bebekkurus lawl, ur right

  • @mycah808

No i'm not , tears of joy in my eyes

  • I like song so much (sniff,sniff)

  • Waouh ! This awesome song is one of the reason why FF VII is still my favourite one.

Nobuo Uematsu is such an amazing compositor :')

  • At 0:59 I stared to cry because it was so WONDERFUL! :'D

  • @Morgengrauenengel I started to cry at 1:12 :)

  • I remember crying during the pivotal moments of this storyline when I played the game the first couple times.

  • best playstation game of all time

  • @youarebob wrong, there are 2 best playstation games of all time.

    FFVII and MGS1

  • @youarebob you mean best game of all time, EVAAARR!!

  • wow just wow this is amazing it gives me shivers just listening to it. it reminds me so much of my childhood growing up with this game :)

  • i think the composer is about to cry because he remembered Aerith's death.

  • Man, this one is awesome, really awesome

  • Aerith will forever be a symbol to all of humanity to follow your heart, protect those dearest to you, and knowing that even though humans are flawed we can still change our destiny.

  • I was only 4 when VII came out, so I didn't have the "maturity" to play it until a few years ago...and by then the whole world didn't bother hiding the fact that Aeris dies, so I already knew it was gonna happen. Took the whole experience away :(

  • Same here. When I first played it and when it got to the scene. It had me stunned and a couples of tears came out. Then it had me pissed afterwards.

  • omnislash on those who don like this

  • damn, beleive me. i disliked aerith, until when i reached to scene where she got killed, and i remained stunned.... like wth?

for some strange reason, i felt how my heart was shattering, even though it was supposed to be Just a game... but.... wow, i barely hold back my tears by then. and i stopped playing ff7 for a while after that scene... rlly, rlly sad scene, and it still brings me similar feeling by then when i hear this music

  • Oh my god, Aerith please come back in the remake of FFVII ):

  • i remember i almost cried when aeris died. and i felt kinda numb through the rest of disc 1. it was like i really lost someone close to me.

  • Yeah right, just like Indonesian..

A Classical concert IS WHERE EVERYONE MUST REMAIN SILENT UNTIL THE SONG IS FINISHED..

    WHATS WITH THAT APPLOUSE?? LOL

You can do that applouse later!!!!!

  • @GlantRiesta You can't blame them, classical concert is rare in Indonesia. If there's, it's not in the highlight (hence there're no DVD's for this). Most of the people here probably are probably in their first time attending a classical concert. And this orchestra is the first final fantasy orchestra concert in Indonesia (and probably the last for a long time).

So you can see the result of full blown excitement and lacking of standard concert manners here.

  • Wish I could've gone to this concert. Man that would've been the highlight of both mine and my hubby's life as we are both FF fans. ^_^

  • the only song to actually make me shed tears......i cried like a little bitch when Aeris died in ffvii....laugh if you want but it got through my ice and stone heart....

  • dude im 23 and i cried when aeris died dont be ashamed

  • It's amazing, really. Nobuo can put so much emotions to this music... It's like you are really there in that story, crying for Cloud ): Nobuo really likes his music.

  • Just got shivers.

  • nice job twilight orchestra (indonesia)

  • so .. touching.. oh.. no . i have to cry .. i love you all XD

  • there is one language we all know on this entire planet and that language is music my friends (;

  • @holykirby95 terrific insight

  • final fantasy so rules

  • It is beauty beyond measure... I find myself listening to it on the streets when I walk home...you don't hear the traffic, cars honking, people screaming, you just hear this melody, this piece of heaven in your ears. It amazing to hear something like that, even if I was just walking home. to hear nothing but this playing into my heart.

  • @Littlekittiangel perfect break from reality! This melody just makes you forget everything crazy goin on in the world! I think they should fly a plane around the world with this blasting out of some insanely huge speakers, maybe it would bring peace for a moment? lol, or maybe I just dream too much! :p R.I.P Aeris (Yes, from the European version lol)

  • @strifey07 I completely agree, In those times Is when you are truly thinking to yourself where you are or your just completely engrossed by this heaven;y music in your ears, All of these characters play a role in your life. Whether or not they are real does not matter to me. these characters have a core, a essence that completely demands your full un-divided attention when your in complete awe by them even to this day.

  • i miss aerith... =-(

  • One of the best tunes in VGM imho. Excellent performance.

  • Oh Aerith, why did you have to die ?!

Btw, this concert is gorgeous !

  • One of my favorites of the series and a beautiful piece of music. Also one of the first songs I learned on piano and guitar and it's still a joy to play and listen to.

  • I'm the only person out of all of my freinds who listen to this type of music. Meaning all my teen friends are like this is stupid...no it's not! This is so beautiful!

  • totally agree with u frostripe14 and this is easily one of my favourite love songs of all time. its a beautifull piece.

  • Froststripe14 i so agree with you, its so powerful hearing these great ff musics on a live orchstra (sorry for spelling) i think the reason some people think these types of musics are dumb is because its too deep for them, to emotional they just don't get it.

  • @Froststripe14 man totally agree with you dude..so far,I haven't found any of my friends listening to stuff like this..it's a great piece..

  • @Froststripe14 It's sad really. Unless it has a repetitive beat, some synth, and a monotonous bassline, it's apparently not good music, since you "can't dance to it"

They're wrong, though. You can dance to it. You just can't dance like a whore to it. They forget about slow dancing.

  • @darkseraph2009 Well said. I like fast, upbeat music myself. But it has to be good nad well performed to have any kind of impact on me. I love all of the final fantasy music. Even if I haven't played the game yet. It's just really amazing.

  • @Froststripe14 I have the same!

  • @MajoraNL It's irritating to explain it to them. XD

  • T___T

  • No opinion is right, they can only be argued. All the FInal Fantasy games are amazing, they have changed my life. VII was the best for me because i discovered it when i was a little kid and the way it made me feel was amazing - i felt like i was Cloud when i played it and the musical score was fantastic. Thats why Final Fantasy VII was the best for me, not because I'm some moronic fan boy. It was the best game for me because it was the game that got me started on the amazing Final Fantasy series

  • ...And every time i play Final Fantasy VII it reminds me of that time of my life, how happy i was and how awesome me and my friends thought it was. I hate how this constant argument goes on about which Final Fantasy is best, it's only an opinion - they all kick ass. The only reason people say VII was the best is because it was undoubtedly the most popular. I like to think that I'm more than just a fan to the Final Fantasy series - I like to think they'll remake VII but that will never happen.

  • all of you saying that one ff is the best are wrong. each have their own features that make them just as good as the others.

  • shut the hell fag- as long it ff it gr8......

  • What's the fukin' up to you guys? All versions of Square Enix's Final Fantasy are fantastic. How could you compare this one to that one? They're as great as each others.

  • @tomypan Lol. You know they were Square Co.(sometimes refered to as squaresoft) until 2 years after FFX was released, right? :P

  • dinng ding dong ding dong dong da da

mm breeze ( down to the spine...)

  • Shut up about 7 being the best, 4 being the best and 6 being the best, they're all great in their own way along with the rest of the final fantasy music, just appreciate people are still playing the music over and over because of how great it is. I personally judge games that don't have speaking in by music 'cus it's like a silent movie, but still my opinion doesn't matter on which game was the best, this is about the music go on a gameplay video if you want to chat about the games.

  • mature answer, everyone has their favourite one out of the lot

  • The thing with critics of FF7 is that they are mostly years late. Compare ff7 to any rpgs at that time 97-98 and im sure u'll find that no rpg came close in STORYLINE, PASSION n lastly graphics. The only rival was grandia in battlesystem (which i also prefer over ff7) I was one of those gamers who played megaman sonic mario bros. Then i outgrew games. Then along came FF7 which i saw a friend playing and immediately I buy a PS just to play it. That was how brilliant FF7 was 12 years ago.

  • i couldn't have put it in better words, i remember the gigantic jump that games went from 94-97 starting with donkey kong country FFVI until FFVII wich was a true masterpiece

  • @pokewan, 6 was a far more powerful and emersive game for me than 7.

  • Even if I didn't play, C:, watching my brothers playing through the game was intriguing enough.

    It's a wonderful game. :D

    FF VII ROCKS.

  • @Kheve

Clearly, you never played Final Fantasy 4 or 6....

  • also I just dont understand how any1 can hate everything about a final fantsy game, Hell simply having Nobuo Ueamatsu doing the composing is enough to make me buy the game, even if it was complete shit

  • Who knows dude. In 100 years or more, there might be kids studying this stuff as classical gaming literature or something haha. Seriously.

  • That would be good for them. It seems that people today don't know what good music is. Yeah, I like music that's played with an orchestra, and I'm probably the only person like that in my age group. I like this music a lot, and I think it's amazing.

  • @dadoody

I wish then i would get As all the time

  • agree

  • @oldscoolest i totally agree. music just makes the crappiest game the most awesomest game ever. XD

  • agree

  • @oldscoolest Well, you can buy FFIV. Nobuo Uematsu as composer did'nt save this title from being as fail as FFXI. I'm really sorry for that, cause Nobuo rules.

    Hail Final Fantasy 7, forever.

  • @oldscoolest Then you better have played Lost Odyssey.

  • there's something about final fantasy games (especially Vll) that makes people either love it, or hate it...

personally, i love all of them, and while i can regonize faults in them, it doesnt stop me from enjoying them.

ive noticed many people who say ff7 is overrated, which is true, but its like the Dallas Cowboys, People love them because their a great team, and people hate them because they are overrated.

  • @oldscoolest

    who is dallas cowboys^^

    but anyway i looooveeee ff7

  • I cried and cried after watching this. I've watched it so many times, but for some reason, it finally got me today. I could never put into words what this game means to me.

  • FFVII i can admit is VERY popular but there are other games. i mean, people at my school, when i talk about FF, all they talk about is FFVII. hey, i can admit, once you play the game, it blows you away with music and gameplay, but i mean, there are other great FF such a 6, 8 ,9. im not saying FFVII is overused but they made so many compellations of it. and people who talk about it everyday only know about it cause its so popluar, but i bet you they havent played the game to really know it.

  • dont get me wrong, its a GREAT game with GREAT music and probably the best graphics of my time. i still play it and im blown away by how good these were, whether they were cubic or not.

but the many compellations of it and the fact tht people havent even played it and say how its such a great game makes me a little PO'ed cause they have no idea the emotions you feel when you play this game. but in order of FF in my imporatance (tht ive played) i gotta go with: FFVII, FFVII, FFVI, FFIX, FFX

  • hope i didnt offend.

im just saying tht people shouldnt be so close minded on FFVII cause its so popular. i mean there are other of FF games tht could be better than VII but arent as famous because people still want to be so close minded on one FF.... which is kinda unfair because many of the other FF had great reception to the players...:/

  • Just watch "TheSpoonyOne"'s review on FFVIII to see what an awful and incoherent mess of cliche and uninspired characters it was.

6 was amazing, as was 7, 8 was memorable for sucking.

I don't know about 9 though, and 10 pissed me off to no end with its caste of obnoxious and poorly written characters.

FF12 would have fallen in the same trap if not for Balthier, who, in my opinion, is the best FF character ever made. He saved that game (as he says "do I have to do everything myself?")

  • You need a review to form an opinion about a game?

Did you even play the game or just watched the review and said "oh hey, this guy is funny and he is probably saying the true! Boo this game sucks!"

FFVIII is awsome with an awsome ending.

  • "awesome ending"

You mean the plan of stopping the ulitmate sorceress compressing time and killing countless lives by...

letting her compress time.. That was one of the most idiotic, uninspired, and poorly written endings to an RPG I have ever seen.

And then, there is no actual closure to the game since it just repeats itself at the orphanage, thus making all your hard work for absolutely nothing. This game is beyond words terrible, as is the romance between Squall and Rinoa.

  • I ask again, did you play the game or just watched Spoonyone review? Which BTW was meant to be sarcastic and exagerated.

  • FF VII is the best though, it's not being closed minded, it's just a fact

  • Agreed. As you've said, Final Fantasy VII was indeed a great game with a great soundtrack (Aeris Theme being one of the best). But there are RPG's beyond FFVII that are just as great if some would open their minds and give them a chance. Think outside the box as the saying goes.

  • the only thing i regret is the small lack of emotion in japanese orchestras, they play like perfect but has less emotion.

they are still realy god damn nice

  • You don't need emotion to play in a orchestra.

It's an orchestra not a rock band.

  • I disagree. I play in an orchestra, and if you don't have emotion you can't hit crescendos or decrescendos - or any other powerful movement - with as much passion as you can if you play with your heart. Music should come from the heart.

  • by the way where does the sound snippet during the first 2-3 seconds of this video come from?

  • Oh my God just amazing...

I wanna come back in years...

    This was my first videogame....

  • Oh my! That would be the most awesomest concert! I wonder if another will be done in the future.

  • man oh man ... the memories of polaying this game are flooding back ... making me wanna go back and go through it again.... i remember crying when i saw aerith die right infornt of me i was so much younger back then and the story of the game was so deep ... the game has been an inspiration to me .. love it to bits especailly this tune ... i promised myself i wouldnt cry" XD

  • believe, you are not the only one ^^

  • kawaii

  • nicee !!! :)

  • way to go Indonesia. I hope they have another concert like this when I get back there in december!

  • As someone who liked 7 but loved the other games to, I find it insulting the audience only applaud tracks from 7.

  • Yeah, agree... though, maybe it's because Square Enix has overexposed 7 than the others.

I remember I didn't recognize the Terra's theme when I went there. I only realize it recently after I finished all FF games but 1&2 and watched the concert videos again.

I guess the other songs weren't that popular among the audience simply because they haven't played the game, nor made an impression in their minds.

Back then, I only recognize Liberi Fatali & Eyes on Me. I got in late and miss the former.

  • You can't blame them though.... VII is the most successful in the FF Series....... They made 1 Movie & 2 Games from FFVII.... Before Crisis and Crisis Core.

  • Pls. Square Enix... a concert here in the Philippines would be great for me... but not for Square Enix... ,but still, A concert pls... here! I know very few might come but if possible...

  • I actually liked aerith she had some good limit breaks which were very useful in boss fights. I just wished that she did not die, damn it, first time I played this game I leveled her up so much and then she just died at the end of the first disc, I was like what the hell?

  • definitely one of the most emotionally charged songs in a Final Fantasy game.

  • the moment this song plays....the moment the image of sephiroth killing aerith comes in....DAmn you CLoud!! lol jk your still my hero.....but my boy is SQuall!

  • gorgeous music! I love this game!

*sobs like a little girl and cries for his mummy*

  • We all feel your pain jomo999 :*(

  • as much as i love FFVII music i cant listen to it cause it makes me sad for some reason, sigh...

  • that flutist looks funny at 3:00

  • emotional sorry*

  • one of the most emotion FF songs ever Imo.

  • epic

  • OMG!!! I just love this fucking song!!! Nobuo Uematsu´s a damned genious!!!

  • i love it!!!

  • I love this!!! Though i still prefer Tifa's theme, Suteki Da Ne and Tatakau Monotachi

  • Yeah, this is a great song, but I still prefer a lot of the leitmotifs from FF6. Aria de Mezzo and Relm's theme, by example.

  • Do anyone know where i can buy the full orchestra and band version....???

plz help me...if i can find it, then my orchestra and band teacher will agree to play this....but only if i find it..

    ANYONE CAN HELP ME???

    PLZZZ

    TYVM

    ^^V

  • man square just overfranchises all hell out of their stuff, don't they.

  • what are you talking about? People want to hear this music (which was composed amazingly) so why not? This is franchised just right. All their concerts sell out.

  • I don't think "overfranchised" means what you think it means.

  • I can take this comment with a grain of salt as Final Fantasy 7 can stand as a game in itself without the FF title. The game was good, but sometimes people do over-rate it.

  • franchised means to grant a franchise (verb) and the noun means the right to market someone's product. Overfranchising is too much marketing of someones product. And no, because the music is spectacular and the concerts sell out, it isn't overfranchised. Something this gorgeous should be orchestrated... as in classical pieces. Yeah. The music was the best part of the game. Nobou Uematsu is a god at composing.

  • This is just too beautiful ... Really brings back memory .. GOD !!

  • I am surprised the crowd did not know what song it was at the opening! But i am astonished that this rendition may not sound like the other 3 versions i heard live yet it has the same power and beauty. (mainly in the strings)

  • holy crap this nearly made me cry. luv final fantasy and chrono series music so much. put it above my fav bands almost

  • it's a good thing they didn't put the game sence where Aerith's is dead in the back ground, because i would be crying up a strom

  • Agreed lol xD

  • i dont even need that to make me cry just the song is enough

  • Sad... I got a ticket for this concert from my friend, but i cannot go... because i have to go back to Singapore T.T

  • sugoi ..kono merodii wa suteki .. hontou ni kirei ga !! aerith wa hontou ni yasashii to utsukushii ne ? minna-san , aerith ga suki dayo ne .. kanojo wa hontou ni suki desu ..

  • ... First, you weaboo, you can't write Japanese in Roman letters, second, plase get a life... you're writing shit nobody understands on Youtube...

  • gomenasai , anoo .ettou , eigo ga sukoshi dekimasu

  • chotto mashigaiteru kedo...ore mo omae no mikata da

  • Chigau arrangement dake dayo. machigatte nai.

  • this song will always be 1 of the greatest. This and the song at the end of crisis core left a big impression on so many ppl cause both involved the deaths of chars you came to love in the game.

  • i hate when people cheer when an orchestra is playing. its not a fucking rock concert.
