Thanks brother. I appreciate the positive feedback. Keep the uplifting comments coming. You really know how to make a guy feel good. I am so overwhelmed by the encouraging words!!!
Thank you...I'm not sure where that came from. It's just came out. :) Yes, I believe I was using my Homebrew Electronics Power Overdrive Pedal. I was only using a little bit though.
One last question...I'm getting one today and I noticed on musician's friend they have plain top and figured top, was wondering if you knew the difference and what kind yours is?
Yes. Mine is the plain top. With ebony finish, there's no difference between plain top and figured top. Now with the cherry, sunburst, and natural finishes, there will be a noticeable difference. With the figured top, the wood grain comes through and is very beautiful. The plain top is just not as "figured", but is still great looking! It's kind of like the difference between the older Standard Les Pauls and the newer Les Pauls. The newer ones are way more figured. Hope this helped.
Thanks, but there are some pretty amazing ones out there!!! A lot of them are jazz though, but that's cool.
Well, for this one, I was going direct. I was running through the pedals, into a small mixer, and out to the computer. Some of my other videos are done that way, and some are either going through my old Fender Princeton Chorus (which I don't have anymore), or my Fender Twin Reverb.
I really have no clue! As long as I have been playing, you'd think that I would know more about music theory. I really need to just make myself sit down and learn that sort of thing. I just play what comes out. :)
I actually ordered it from Musicians Friend. It's a little scary not being able to play a guitar first before you buy it. It does have it's advantages though. You are getting a brand new guitar that hasn't been out of the box since the factory, and it's not been hanging in a music store to be scratched up and abused by fifty people. :)
Nice tone and playing. I especially like the tone you're getting with the Fulltone Clyde. I haven't liked most Clyde recordings but yours is very vintage Vox sounding. Where did you have in the internal trim pot set in relation to the stock setting?
Thank you. Actually, when I got the clyde, I did play around with different settings on the internal pot, but I kept coming back to the original stock setting. So, on this recording, the trim is set to the original stock setting. Thanks for checking out the video and for the nice words.
That's funny! I used to be in a Psychedelic band in college and then later on my wife turned me on to dreampop. I guess those two influences are pretty obvious. :)
I like the tone and the style. Pretty cool.

I haven't listened to him forever. I remember that album "Tubular Bells". Pretty cool. I saw where he has a brand new album that just came out.

Looks like your using the C major and the C minor pentonic scale as your solo right?
