I didn't buy the panels anywhere, I painstakingly printed, cut, and assembled each different part onto card stock.

You have crap control on your head. It is way to fast and its over shooting a bit. Since its VEX I would assume the PIC and algorithm they use for control isn't very good. Slow down the speed of the head movement and it will look much smoother, give the PIC time to recognize its reached setpoint before it noticable overshoots. If you into robots, check out my robotic arm vid, I stripped all the servos of their contol chips and made my own and wrote my own code.

I've fixed it a lot since this video, plus I got better at making the movements look "real." That neck pivot gave me the most trouble when I was building this, I've since made it much more stable.
