This set was my first exposure to the complete Beethoven symphonies,some 45 yrs ago,so I suppose I have do have an affection for it.I still think it does stand up there amongst some of the best interpretations.The Readers Digest ,in collaboration with RCAmade these recordings over here in the wonderful acoustics of Walthamstow Town Hall, where many a great classical recording has been laid down,Decca and EMI used this venue.,Search this set out on Ebay or Amazon.I have both LP and cds of this.

Excellent interpretation. I have a recording by the Royal Philarmonic Orchestra cunducted by Raymond Leoppard, but i prefer this.
