  • One of my favorite song from Gary!!! I love it. Miss him so much.

  • this is so pure gold, i have to ask which concert is it from?...i must own the dvd of it! cheers!

  • Just heard this on Bluesville....had to log on to hear it again right away! OMFG his tone is spectacular...not to mention his incredible style!!

  • I gona miss you Gary. RIP.

  • Here's the best blues player, after . . .

Real good blues guitar player !

  • While "Drifting" wasn't released to the public until late '71, Peter Green discovered the Led Zeppelin "sound" a full year before Jimmy Page.

  • Gary Moore es un dios de la viola!!! Aguante maestro!!!

  • The original is so refined, this is rather heavy-handed. Same guitar, different world.

  • tak -genialne!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • Gary is fabulous but Greeny a is a genius.

  • PG gives me goosebumps. this is just OK.

  • check out rufus huff

  • A truly soulful Les Paul. This is nowhere near what Peter Green used to sound like. Gary Moore is a very talented guitarist, but he is using way too much gain on his amp. Green used only compression from the output of his amps, somtimes feeding back on him, sounded superb, and his timing and touch was very different. Absolutely no other living person can play like PG.

  • i agree , still had some good tone on some of the other songs. if ya want to hear a les paul run straight and the best tone check out the band "rufus huff" the guitarist is Greg Martin - he plays a 59 real deal les paul . The whole band has soul. They're hard but the real deal

  • Not a patch on the original.....I'd go so far as to say horrid!

  • Gary Moore is my second favorite guitarist. Right behind Peter Green. Although Moore has exceptional skills, he really missed the ball on "Drifting". The single stanza of lyrics Green created in drifting was to define the raw, electrifying emotion pulsating through his guitar. This is the finest blues guitar tune ever written and the only disappointing performance I have ever heard from Moore. Keep it simple. That's what Green was trying to say. I'm simply blue and missin my woman.

  • I was fortunate eanough to see G smoke with Thin Lizzy in the late 70"s in Philly. Probably one of the craziest gigs ive ever experienced.

  • Same here twice at Hammersmith Odeon as it was in those days. I remember Gary stealing the show, even over the mighty Phil Lynott!

  • who cares who owned the guitar! its just a guitar at the end of the day..

  • Listening to that bump an' grind back-beat gives me a blue's band, gang-bang, musical orgasm... too sweet... Love it- thank you!

  • legend player

  • I case you didn't know, this is Gary Moore playing a Peter Green song with the Les Paul once owned by Green.

  • This was the album that turned me on to the blues when i was a kid. Wore two tapes out listening to this. Awesome!!! PLease release on DVD!!!! my vhs is waring.

  • I love the way Gary goes on a Bluesbreakers-era Clapton venture in the solos, haha.

  • Here we have that legend Gary Moore, sexy too. xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx

  • @FOREVER1IN2BLUEJEANS uh, sexy...no....king of the strings...yes
