As far as Dom goes, he is doing the most important thing a drummer can do, play to the song and kick ass. It is without a doubt that he is playing very aggressively and yet leaves room for the song to make it's mark. That is the mark of a GREAT drummer.

The drums are no more or less better than the guitar or basslines, I'd say. I reckon most drummers who are this experienced can play that. The "Best drummer in the world" talent comes from the ability to know what the drums NEED to sound like.
