I saw them live in mid-December '86 in Calgary at the Max Bell Arena. They were the opening act for Metallica on the Master of Puppets tour at the time, and you'd think they'd have a tough task opening for such metal monsters, but I remember how the crowd loved them, and how much they appreciated the cheers. That was a night I'll forever cherish. Great times.

Most kids would avoid it and cut through the gym to leave school. :) I got to see Metallica/Metal Church Hallowe'en 86. in Vancouver. Just after Cliff Burton's death and Jason Newstead's first time out. It was the Master Of Puppets/ The Dark tour. I remember the "Spaghetti Man" (We were on acid.)

@julian1775 Even though it's nowhere near the level of old school metal, there has actually been a huge upsurge in new thrash and traditional metal bands. Alot of them play good music, but unfortunately many are unoriginal. Having said that though, many bands are already maturing and developing their own styles, like Vektor and Evile. Some other good new thrash bands to check out are Diamond Plate, Hexen, Municipal Waste and Warbringer.
