  • Awesome Band! I even met Craig Wells in Seattle..very kewl guy!

  • I saw them live in mid-December '86 in Calgary at the Max Bell Arena. They were the opening act for Metallica on the Master of Puppets tour at the time, and you'd think they'd have a tough task opening for such metal monsters, but I remember how the crowd loved them, and how much they appreciated the cheers. That was a night I'll forever cherish. Great times.

  • @Sabbathman1979 Finally someone who acknowledges the brilliant work that is Street Lethal by Racer X amazing album. if you have heard of it listen to Fates Warning's album Awaken the Guardian it is the greatest album released in 1986.

  • @TrafficRiot911 Yeah, I know of Fates Warning's Awaken The Guardian, a great album too. I just had no more space to write...I would also like to add Chastain's Ruler Of The Wasteland, Europe's The Final Countdown and the project band M.A.R.S. (MacAlpine, Aldridge, Rock, Sarzo).

Plus almost all album covers from 1986 are killer too!!!

  • Just listen to the fu..kin' ton of drums in the beginning...

    Nothing else to compare nowadays

  • Still got the original release vinyl and yes I still play it

  • When listening to this I shat a Ton Of Bricks.

  • 86 ROCKED. simple as.

  • So far I have met one person in my entire school that likes thrash.

But dammit, isn't that kind of how it's supposed to be? the little cult of metal kids fighting the mainstream?

  • @H2Zman not when being the outcast has become the mainstream...

  • @Uunster That's not the case where I'm from.

  • @H2Zman Metal was better back in the day, before it was mainstream, when it was taboo and underground!

  • @H2Zman lol fuck what everyone else likes .....im going to be an 80 year old grandma someday that still likes metal/thrash etc and ill stilll be riding the front rails of the concerts

  • @H2Zman

god, mainstream-music is so fuckin awful....u just need to look at Bon Jovi, EVERY new song they come up is EXACTLY like the one they did before, just with another title and different lyrics....and people still don't get that.

There are so many underrated musicians in the Underground - and why? because these bands play because they wanna make great music, not to get millions of money and get played on MTV and radio every day.....

Stay Heavy, Dude! Greetings from Germany ;-)

  • @Failhaid Thanks! And btw I'm coming to Germany tomorrow. Can't wait!

  • @H2Zman who's fighting the mainstream? any metal head who listens to this just because they want to rebel is fucking sad, listen to it because its epic and leave the pop kids alone.

  • @majorblood87 You're supposed to listen to music as you like it. Metal inst "anti-mainstream" it's "pro-listen to what you want" You shouldn't care either way if they've had tons of records sales or almost none. If you like then listen to it. Like Dio said "You make the music you want to, you listen to music you want, and don't give a damn what anyone thinks about it."

  • @mashui99 the problem with that is that most regular brainwashed morons DO care what Other Idiot morons THINK about your musical taste and change it according to the masses of zombie lemming airheaded bimbos think they should listen to... which is usually subpar formulaic bullshit that is advertised everywhere you go in this horrible world.

  • @majorblood87 I like that answer. Rock the fuck on \m/

  • @H2Zman I was the exact same, only me and my best mate were into good metal. But since I left school 2 years ago I've discovered theirs a whole awesome local metal scene, it'd be worth looking around and seeing whats going on in your city.

  • @H2Zman

    Fuck tell me about it.

  • @H2Zman Yes, metalheads tend to be a minority, especially ones that like bands that are 25 years old and defunct. Your statement sounds more mature than I would have sounded in highschool.

  • @H2Zman When I was in high school (Early 80's) there were shitloads of headbangers. We had our own hallway by the Metal shop/ wood shop/ auto shop. Most kids would avoid it and cut through the gym to leave school. :) I got to see Metallica/Metal Church Hallowe'en 86. in Vancouver. Just after Cliff Burton's death and Jason Newstead's first time out. It was the Master Of Puppets/ The Dark tour. I remember the "Spaghetti Man" (We were on acid.)

  • @TheCrimsonification - I'm with U, I'm not sure what lame ass preppy schools of the 80's a few of these ppl went to, but in my day their were many more metal heads then anything else, the rest stayed clear of us in fear of getting thrashed!

  • @FVEliteDT I think too many people remember the 80's as sort of 90210 meets Saved By The Bell. Those shows were so far from reality, but all the "cool" kids tried to dress and talk like them and us bangers would fuck with them for following stupid trends. Indoctrination is easy when they're young. Where are the shitty bands they listened to? Flock of Fucking Seagulls Culture Club & the Fucking Neil-&-Bob due WHAM! Metal Church, Metallica, Slayer, Annihilator, Megadeth, and MANY others still tour

  • @H2Zman when i was your age, nobody liked metal either. never worry about what other people think, that will never matter. this kind of music was new when i was your age. just know u like better music than the douchebags you go to school with and realize that high school means NOTHING. life starts after high school. just enjoy the ride :O)

  • @H2Zman The brotherhood!!!

  • @H2Zman

Its always gonna be the same the new generations dont have good taste in music and that is because they dont have someone to teach them the difference of a good or a bad tune.

  • Why the hell was I born in the era dominated by mainstream, Rap, and Nu Metal? T_T

  • @CanIPlayWithMadness4

To wage war against those mainstream shit heads!!!

  • @CanIPlayWithMadness4 Everyone was. That's why they call it "mainstream".

  • @CanIPlayWithMadness4 mee too !!!!! TT _ TT

  • ton of bricks! Fuck!!!!!

  • i was only 9 when this came out, definately born at the wrong time, but did listen to thrash when i was abouut 7, wasnt allowed to go to thrash concerts til age 13

  • today im into more shit like meshuggah, the red chord, between the burried and me, etc.... but this amazing album is where i got my start my older brother bought it when i was 6 or 7 then came metallica and anthrax and suicidal and shit like that metal church had me in a mosh pit before i even knew what the word mosh meant!

  • Cowards will lose!

  • Yeah sounds like Annihilator and Overkill. Good shit

  • this album is tottaly awesome!!!!!!!!!!

  • reminds me a bit of annihilators first albums

  • Now THIS is metal. Fuck a buncha Bon Jovi...

  • are you ready?its great, and now you must listen...

  • LMFAO! I was 16 when this came out :P It still kicks ass :D

  • Used to live next door to duke's mom and dad.

  • I still all these on Tape.... people still know what that is. HAHAHHAHA

  • Please stop talking about the 80's, its not fair on those of us that have to grow up in a world of Lady Gaga and Justin Beieber lol.

  • @Hughesy16LFC I wonder what happened with rock this last decade. I mean, compared with the 90's, it sucked. There may be a lot of great underground bands waiting to show their heads up. Who knows. Maybe there's a lot of great music being created right now. I hope so!

  • @julian1775 Even though it's nowhere near the level of old school metal, there has actually been a huge upsurge in new thrash and traditional metal bands. Alot of them play good music, but unfortunately many are unoriginal. Having said that though, many bands are already maturing and developing their own styles, like Vektor and Evile. Some other good new thrash bands to check out are Diamond Plate, Hexen, Municipal Waste and Warbringer.

  • @Hughesy16LFC Yeah, it's not our fault we were born into a generation of shit-tastic music!

  • @Hughesy16LFC the thing about it was people put their whole life into metal they would spend their money on patches for their jackets and buy albums and save for concerts and weed ... people dont put hardly any effort into it anymore

  • @davidscurlock1

Dude i still have one of them jackets with all the patches :p

  • @Hughesy16LFC in the 80 people gave it their all to be metal and cool. not these half ass attempts now i mean we really lived it.ate drank and sleeped metal

  • hell ya

  • Used to play this in a cover band with Start The Fire LOL =)

  • METAL CHURCH ROCKS!!!!!!

  • @donnyshiver the American carnage hit NY, best few hours of my life.

  • i was the first one in my school to notice this band when they came out. i was a god.

  • Such a kick ass album, totally remember blaring this from my car stereo in high school, cruising around in our big ass buicks and shit!

  • i remember when the select few lthat liked this kind of music. long live lamb of god!!!!!!!!

  • killer

  • this is real metal

  • They played this in "No Mans Land" with Charlie Sheen. Of course

it was a scene with a long hair in a van.

  • @scheissdrek Of course...lol ;P

  • been thinking about this song all day, kick ass!

  • Still among my most-loved albums...

  • RIP David Wayne...

  • The drummer must have snorted a lot of coke before playing this song. It was before Red Bull. Thanks for posting this. It brings me back.

  • this album rocked! and what was cool was that they dedicated this masterpiece to Cliff Burton in their linear notes.

  • KICK ASS!

  • Fuckin awesome I liked the first album beter but this song is amazing and so is start the fire. Underrated for sure yet one of the better thrash bands in my opinion

  • this song rips!! what an era

the late eighties were for heavy rock!

it's what rock-n-roll needed at the time,

which was a good kick in the ass!

at the time it was poison, winger and all that garbage!

  • First time I heard this song I had the sudden urge to snort a mountain of coke and race a IROC-Z down the freeway

  • @chilibeaner3 Im On My Way..........

  • good rocking song....great band...

  • Wow, 17 when this came out. Had the cassette in my '79 Firebird. Back when I thought youth would never end. Fantastic memories!

  • My world will not cave in.

I will dare so I will win!

  • Wow...High school memories here. Exodus, Megadeths "So far so good so what" ...and justice for all...Testament "pratice what you preach" Anthrax "Among the Living" were all new...what a great time for metal

  • Yeah, tell me about!.. remember the rocker jean jacket and biker coat days?... still got mine!... It was good times looking like a teenage rocker in high school!... =)

  • Ya except now it's all about saggin your pants wearin stupid cheap ass shirts and talkin like an idiot.

  • @WILDCHILD518 hey those songs are my high school memories considering im in highschool now and i love all those songs and bands

  • @WILDCHILD518

    I'm jealous. lol

  • @WILDCHILD518

You have no idea....Gawd Dammm I miss those days.

  • @WILDCHILD518 Man, we didn't know we had it so good. It was truly the glory days of metal...

  • @WILDCHILD518 yep, those were great album, they still sound good!

  • @WILDCHILD518 I would have loved to go to high school then all those killer albums coming out!

  • @WILDCHILD518 Yes it was man!

  • No shit man I still remember when you would go to the record store and had no way of telling which bands were good so you had to look at the cover (cassette cover) and just pray you got a good one. That is how I found S.O.D though and Metal Church so it worked some of the time. The good thing is that the Slayer,Megadeth,Anthrax tour is coming to my town sept. 30 and I'm goin 39 years old and all ,......how could I pass it up?

  • @DonnyShiver Hell yeah man, used to go to Mainstream music and do that, hell thats how I discovered The Exploited among others.

  • @WILDCHILD518 1986 was a helluva year for metal.

  • @WILDCHILD518 lol wow yea I wasnt quite in HS yet I was still in Jr High but yes same memories here. I agree a very good time for Metal.

  • @WILDCHILD518 all that

  • @WILDCHILD518 you dont know how lucky you were, all the kids in highschool listen too hip hop, rap, and hardcore indie.

only a few of my friends listen to thrash or even thrash.

i love this why cant others feel the same...

  • @WILDCHILD518 i totally agree great memories!

  • @WILDCHILD518 totally agree - was a fun era

  • @WILDCHILD518 Lucky!

  • @WILDCHILD518 Damn I am jealous! I would kill to have all of that new in high school. I was unfortunately born in 88 and now all of my favorite bands are getting too damn old. 80's were easily the hay-day of metal.

  • @WILDCHILD518 ....a kindred soul.......you just named my HS soundtrack as well.....lol
