Bon Jovi really surprised me from day one. Now that they're a legend they really deserve it. It's because they actually write a song you can listen to and sing.
Some bands sound like someone is beating on their skulls with a two by four but Bon Jovi can go the distance and the range and actually say something with a song, ballad, hard rockin', blues etc..

I feel bad for people who dislikes these kind of music.
