Of course, Dave Allen, not unlike Dermot Morgan, had to go to 'pagan' Englland in order to make a living... Needless to say, the holymolies in Dublin controlled things spiritual and temporal, would have none of Allen. Had he known it , he might have sketched their neutrality in WW11 and their ratlining of the Nazis.
