I have 2 children, one of which was born when I was unmarried. I dont think God hates me for that. I also dont see God hating one of my children for being who they are. So after watching the recent movie _Pariah_ at the Denver Film Festival a few weeks ago, an audience member said to Adepero Oduye, "...And I know it's harder for African Americans to be gay..." Everyone was soooo offended. I don't really have an opinion about that, but I'm just mentioning it. True or not it feels like people don't want to be singled out for any characteristic they can't change. I don't know if avoiding this makes us better or more sensitive, it's just something I'm observing.

I almost cried. Both my sisters, my 16 year old nephew are bisexual and I am pansexual. It is really horrible to know that because I don't discriminate when I love people I am discriminated against. Oh God, you don't know how much this means to be a rational human being stuck in the biblebelt. I have never seen such intense, such reasonless basis for hatred--a word I still can't even get my head around when it pertains to a completely innocent person. So after watching the recent movie _Pariah_ at the Denver Film Festival a few weeks ago, an audience member said to Adepero Oduye, "...And I know it's harder for African Americans to be gay..." Everyone was soooo offended. I don't really have an opinion about that, but I'm just mentioning it. True or not it feels like people don't want to be singled out for any characteristic they can't change. I don't know if avoiding this makes us better or more sensitive, it's just something I'm observing.

Homophobia is a strictly human behavior while homosexuality is found in over 400 hundred species.
Cultural relativism (judging whether something is right or wrong according to a specific set of rules belonging to a particular culture (in this case, Christianity, etc) has been proven to work only if cultures remain separated from others, otherwise it leads to chaos.
Homosexuality was considered normal by Romans and Greeks, before the creation of Christianity.

I have watched this over and over. (shared as well) I find myself nodding along every time. I *always* smile when you say "I am Nic, I have brown hair." So true, so true. I am not gay but I agree with every word that came out of your mouth in this video. Straight but not narrow. <3

This video is probably the greatest thing I've ever seen. What I also hate is when a person is called gay/lesbian/bisexual because they so strongly support the gay/lesbian/bisexual/transgender, why not? In the wonderful words of Nikki Lynette. They have the right to fail at the same things we do, and typically I've seen happier gay/lesbian/bisexual/transgender couples than I have straight couples. We are all equal, at least, that's how I see it & how I think it should be expressed. Thank You E>

Nick (with brown hair), you've just made me love you all the more for saying this. I grew up everywhere around all kinds of people (ethnicities) and never could understand why homosexuality was such a big deal.....I always thought of homosexuality as something like air or water....it just is...so who cares? IT doesn't change that persons' capacity to love or function in society.....

thank you so much i'm a christian and i support gays and for some reason that always gets me into huge arguments with people, people tell me i can't be a christian if i don't think being gay is a sin which i think is the stupidest thing ever we're supposed to love everyone so why are we discriminating against someone just because they are a little different NEWS FLASH! people are different no one is exactly the same we are all equal!

When people say god hates gays, I say " god made them like that, and that's the way god wanted them to be. If he hates them, why did he make them? I dont think god is the type to create someone JUST so they could be hated. "
