no, I just havnt had any dead lighters lately lol. they keep getting stolen before they empty. its actually pretty rare that a lighter dies on you. I have friends who smoke lots so I get them to save me their lighters.. when they can remember (thats why its taking so long). also some flints are too small so I cant wrap the spring around them, way too hard, so I just throw them away. thats 1/4 that get thrown away.
I slowly add to it, about 5-10 a month. used to be a lot more than that though.
what kind of lighters were they? unless theyre the big BIC ones, theyre pretty shitt. BIC minis are way too small, ive thrown about 30 of those out. and the cheap chinese knock off lighters usually have pretty shitty flints.
get them red hot and do it in the dark and it looks cool for .5 seconds. most I ever did it with was 3 flints in the dark and it was pretty cool... I cant imagine 200 or 500 or whatever its at when it gets blown up.

on mythbusters they had appox 3000 that they put in a car and got super hot trying to explode them. I imagine they threw it all out but damn that would be like heaven for me.

we got them at the german boarder too (everything is shit cheap downthere compared to Denmark because of the damn VAT ...) were going to get some more later i might upload a video of them ..
that will look sick, but you should tie it to a piece of wood or a stick or something so that you have a handle, then you can peg it to the ground as hard as you can :)
no, it will be another few years, I want to get it to 1000 flints, its around 150 now. It will be in the pitch black dark, and off a building, light with a propane torch, and im also going to have to make it longer, I dont want 1000 red hot flints dangling 5 inches from my hand...
Its even bigger now. the 2nd arm there is just as big as the first, and theres now a 3rd arm coming out of it that has 4 flints. I dont know when im going to blow it up, or how, or where..
I made one of these at school today with one flint, not expecting much... Boy was I, and my maths teacher surprised. :L

heh me and my friend tried this today with one at the time .. it was pretty cool considering how tiny it is ...
he had loads of cheap lighters so we just took some of his ... think were able to get 50 lighters for ~$ 10 or so .... not alot atleast. ...
wasnt expecting you to gather them like that...

yeah those are those cheap ones. google "bic lighter" and those are the exact ones I use.
make one with ten or so and film it.

ive seen his. this one here has more flint that that WWHOOLLEE stick he was drilling into.. and he made 10 diff ones out of his.
his was the equivalent to about 4 or 5 small flints. and I have over 130 now :D
