I want to buy a dvd of The Magic Flute but am worried I'll be disappointed it won't be as good as this production... anyone have any suggestion?

I had the privilege to hear him sing this in person (albeit in English.) Delightful as always. He doesn't have Fischer-Dieskau's diction, but then he was not a native speaker, either.

I had this on video for a while and It was terribleIt frighten me as a little kid. It was terrifying and dull. However this Papageno is the best one I have ever seen on video. The only time it is watchable Is when he is on but he's worth it I'm straight but I have a crush on him. It's sad he died young he would have been great in so many productions. I would love to have seen him in the excelent 1991 Levine/ Battle/Moll production (I have nothing against Manfred Hemm).

I really enjoy his voice. However, have you heard Simon Keenlyside do this? I LOVE his interpretation. I think it's the best I've heard
