  • My favourite part of this entire design has to be either the Nacelles or those blue stripes on the main hull below the pylons :D

  • Made in China...?

  • Where is this music from?

  • Hi. Thatb is awesome !!!

  • Hi. I agree. The Enterprise should have looked like this one...

  • nice music, nice ship

  • ahhh! i hate the new movie of star trek u know the new for the enterprise look it SUKES i like the old verson for the conitushion

  • This is Gabriel Köerner's version. You can google him and find more of his stuff. He is a big Star Trek fan.

  • Not bad. But I never warmed up to this version by Gabe Koerner. He did an earlier version that looked much more like the original Enterprise. It was a lot better looking than this one, but I can't find it now. Anything's better than the abramsprise, though. I could have accepted this ship in the movie a little easer than that monstrosity Ryan Church threw together.

  • I wish they would put this ENTERPRISE in the next Star Trek movie : )

  • that should an option for the enterprise a

  • Now this is the Enterprise that JJ should've used instead of the other one. This Enterprise is much better

  • WOW! this Enterprise is what would give me a Galactic sized BONER..Thanks

  • YAWN!!!!!!

nothing beats the original series enterprise folks!!! Don't mess with a good thing!

If you' re a real trekie you know I'm right and the new movie was a disaster

  • @wondadawg3 I hear ya though I think it was a wicked ass movie it was a shitty star trek movie

  • @wondadawg3 Damn straight! They resurrected the original just fine for Enterprise, no reason they couldn't have done a higher quality version of that for the movie.

  • Looks good! the nacelles are the right shape and it has the satellite style deflector dish

  • JJ Abrams Star Trek is an alternate universe. Problem for things being completely wrong solved....

  • @athathoth01 fail explanation. alternate universe wouldn't have made the enterprise look like a dinner plate and a couple of deformed asparagus stalks mounted on a half squeezed tube of toothpaste

  • @MiddaysStar Fail? Was it a fucking test?

  • @athathoth01 yes it was. and you got a 0/99.5 research how parallel universes work :) the arrival of nero's ship wouldn't have made starfleet go "zomg lets make all our ships look like tubes of 'paste", especially considering the Kelvin was different to its original counterpart. though admittedly it looks sexier than the original Kelvin-class

  • I loved the music in this clip. It makes this whole clip into a different atmospherical feeling. Almost like a "St. Elsewhere" theme.

  • Did the movie Enterprise even have the Starfleet markings on the side? Something was just missing from that ship. I needed to be battleship gray like the original was. While I liked the white look for the TMP era ships that are supposed to come later, I think they should have made the ships look a bit more like the originals.

  • I think the Abrams 'Enterprise' is based on the initial conseptual sketches for Star Trek - Phase II (The revived series which never came to pass - Paramount made movies instead.)

  • Please tell me this song name.

  • Nothing better than the original but that's just my opinion

  • Oh, and anyone cussing out the Enterprise-E needs their eyes dissected <_< I swear that is by far the sexiest Enterprise yet

  • From what I've read from multiple sources, this version of the original Enterprise was designed by one of the artists that worked on the revamped Battlestar Galactica. This could possibly explain JJ's snubbing of it as "the work of a rival franchisee". Could anyone fail more? Also it should be noted that JJ's Enterprise was nearly 100m longer than the Enterprise-E ... which doesn't fit canon as the ships got bigger over the decades, not smaller. JJ's Enterprise fails epically compared to this.

  • i like the original Enterprise ship better

  • Way cooler than that big I-Pod gayer the time travelling Jew came up with.

  • sweet; thanks

  • She feels like a mashup of the TOS E, the A and the C, and a damn fine one too!.. And I used to know who's creation this is dammit.

I still think this is the direction JJ should have gone.. Beautiful lil' ship, this'un :D

  • This is the fattest Enterprise I ever saw, but it is a lot better than the Enterprise-E.

  • Ugly as hell.

  • @Ironbudokan Wrong!!! The hell is less ugly!

  • It's surprising how many details of the JJ-prise are similar to the Koerner version, especially the noticeably uncircumcised nacelles.

  • @FarginBastiges Koerner is a moron plus he's nuts. His version of the enterprise looks just as bad as the church ship. I talked to him via email a couple of years ago to ask about a specific detail on the CGI 1701-D from "these are the voyages" and the fucker went ballistic over email.

  • @MasterJediKyleKatarn what do you mean by a "church ship?"

  • @Ashenion22 Ryan Church designed the 2009 movie ship. His original design was more practical but then they made the nacelles bigger and screwed everything else up.

  • This design would be perfect as the transition class starship from the kelvin starship to the JJ Abram version. This class of starship had experimental warp 9 engines as well as a larger saucer section. As newer technology was developed, the newer constitution class starships were designed.

  • but in the end would've been better than what JJ's people came up with ;-)

  • Take off the saucer section and the engines and you have an old school phaser pistol

  • this is a design that appeared in one of the calenders

  • Very nice new age music, my compliments. This version of the ship however sucks dead horse meat thru a flavored straw

  • It's ok, but doesnt do me anything. The Star Trek XI movie enterprise is much better in my opinion. But hey, that's just me lol. It looks as if they jammed the old and refit Enterprise along with the Embassador class.

  • The new movie Enterprise should've looked like something this, it's a much better version of an up-to-date, advanced Constitution Class, in my humble opinion. Good design, whoever came up with it, the nav. deflector and the engineering section echoe a mixture of the original and the original refit, which is exactly what Abrams should've tried to represent. And I liked the new one, don't get me wrong, but this seems like it would've been a lot more canon.

  • @lcmorgan1221 apparently, in the original script, the Original USS Enterprise was destroyed, not the Kelvin (because they had the original incursion date a few months after the original was launched).

this would've made the one we saw in the movie the Enterprise-A, but they readjusted those elements to what it is in the movie, thats why the new 'JJprise' looks a bit different, it tries to incorporate bothe elements.

but I agree with you, this should've been the new movie Enterprise

  • @lcmorgan1221 its crap since when was there blue on the ship the problem with people like you... you dont want new youd ratehr have old crap like this times change move on

  • @mrdevilishdan666 Move on from good tv, to bad tv?

  • @lcmorgan1221 I recall that someone said the story behind this design is that the guy who made it knows the chap who came up with the Jjprise (Ryan Church, I think) and built this model as a "guess" for what Church would come up with. But don't quote me on that.

  • Wow, how much do I hate this ship design?

  • not as much as me! :)

  • go find a life nub!!!!!!!

  • JJ-prise sucks, original TOS Enterprise rules.

  • Ohh please. If by reserved the character you mean poorly acted then yes Shatner and Cawley fit that bill.

  • @Niusereset I wonder what maniac agreed to use the JJ-Prise. It's... Horrible :/

  • @Niusereset The new Enterprise design was the only good thing about the film I thought. The more I think about the movie the more pissed off I get. They screwed up every aspect of the canon. I can't believe they destroyed 40+ years of ST in 2 hours the way they did. Any conceivable way they come up with to fix it would be stupid and far fetched even by Trek standards.

  • @shaindaman13

I agree with almost everything, except JJ-prise.

I was nearly to accept the new version o ship (despite that I still love TOS Enterpreise the most of all ST ships) but it was until I saw interiors.

  • Thiiiiiiis ..........videooooooo......waaaass........wayyyyyyyyyy........tooooooo.........lonnnnnnng.......forrrrrrrrrrr........meeeeeeeee......tooooooo........finnnnishhhhhh.........watchhhhinnnnnng. But, I'm sure it was good.

  • : i agree captain kirk :p x

  • That....is highly illogical.

  • Looks ugly

  • As far as I'm concerned the Enterprise is the Enterprise and I'd rather live in a world with the Enterprise than one where she's just a memory

  • Google the name "Frank Worthen"!

  • whats the music??

  • terrible, the music is terrible

  • A little "tweaking" and this could be a steam punk version of the Enterprise!

  • I'm sure J.J. Abrams gnashed teeth when he saw this, as the ship were going to see in the movie was probably just signed off on then. Gabe Koerner is such a great designer and artist, I hope he tries his hand at creating other ships.

  • All J.J. would have to do is pay Gabe a thousand dollars to use this design rather than pay people a thousand dollars to make what they made in ST 09 Can I hear a "woop woop"?

  • I always thought this one was rather ugly, like the Enterprise is trying to look like the Millenium Falcon.

Then I saw the redesign for the next movie...which is disgusting.

I'd rather Gabe's ship here made it than the shit we're gonna see in theaters.

  • the nacelles look much better those of the redigned enterprise from the upcoming movie

  • overwrought

  • I hope this ship gets blown up in the movie. And, I hope the designer of this ship is onboard when it does.... this ship is damn ugly. Almost as ugly as my dogs ass.

  • ATTENTION NERDS!!!!!!!!

This is not a "new" version of the Enterprise. This is, in fact, an old Matt Jeffries painting of what was supposed to be the redesign for the Star Trek: Phase II series that Roddenberry was working on in the 70's. The first script ended up being turned into Star Trek: The Motion Picture. This design's been around for 30 years.T

  • Actually you are incorrect. This is Gabriel Koerner's "re-imagined" TOS Enterprise, based of course on the original TOS Enterprise.

  • Suck my ass till shit creams down your chin.

  • actually its not the jeffries design but rather the gabe koerner design that has been around the internet for a couple of years now.

  • Thats funny it looks nothing like the Phase 2 Enterprise as shown on Star Trek the Motion Picture DVD nor the Wiki page's old pic that went the way of the Dinos.

  • That could be because the ship on the Star Trek TMP DVD was made exclusively for the first movie, and subsequent films. For instance, the Phase II Enterprise had a dish style deflector, while the design we are familiar with has a glowing blue crater. ThePhase II Ent also retained the original nacelles.

I thought your name was silentbob? Why not live up to it?

  • The enterpirse refit had different nacelles and a different deflector dish, than the one designed in the 60's and overall was kind of a different ship as the saucer section and stardrive section had some differing dimensions.

Abrahms ship actually looks more like the Origincal constituion class when looking at the deflector and Bussard H2 Collectors.

  • Ah, but he is being silent, you don't hear his response unless you read it aloud

  • Don't know why ppl argue about this :) This is one of the best enterprise remakes i've seen so far and i've seen a lot. It looks a lot better than the one in the remastered version of the original seeries

  • the remastered version is supposed to look like the original version so they did that right.

this seems to have the proportions better than the 09 version

  • ye i know it's suposed to look much like the old one but since they improoved everything else :) they could have improved the Enterprise too :) i'm shure if the makers of star trek could have done it back in the 60's they would have. If you remember the pilot episode you could only see the Enterprise from one side :) it was a drawing. Only later on they had like a model ship or smth :)

  • i dont remember they ever used a drawing, the remastered version is serposed to be the 60NCC 1701 as it looked like in the 2260s :)

  • the only thing i dont like about this version is the "neck" from engineering section to the saucer section is to far back .... other then that not bad...going from when the oringal series to this isnt that far of a leap considering the NCC-1701 refit and the NCC-1701-A are kinda similar

  • lol screw u fooles idc i like JJ aberhams version of the enteprise lol just as much as i like this version and anyone that has a problem with that can kiss my ass.

  • very very nice

looks refitted with 24th/25th century tech tbh

  • O.K. a 3 minutes 50 secondes 1 frame picture.

    That's great video for youtube.

  • Does anyone know the name of that pretty tune that plays in the background of this video?

  • i think this ship look really cool. its beats the shit out of the one they actually decided to use for the new movie.

  • oh yea

  • ba even Gene Rodenberry himself would consider this too advanced.

  • eh no and anyways if Gene Rodenbery actualy saw this then im probbly sure he or JJ would decide to make a certain scene in the new movie were they would include this version too :)

  • This ship at first was looking ok, now I look at the one in the film and they ruined it for me.

This one is much better and has a slicker design and more along the lines of the ship that we know and love; this guy has done a short film test of the ship in flyet, check her out in my star trek playlist, its really cool with the FX he used.

    Signed ADF1.

  • Enterpirse Dissacrated

  • When you use big words... make sure they are spelled right. Someone might think you are stupid.

  • Just think of it as a stand alone film, you will enjoy it much better. The movie looks good no matter how you all moan about it :P (and I'm a Big Trek Fan so don't flame me lol)

  • Legate, the Enterprise , even if it was an experimental design would have an X designation. e.g. XNCC-1701. Like when the air force comes up with a new jet, it always has an X before the ID number. E.g. XB-70.

  • bah mabey someon should suggest a certain part in the new movie where this ship comes from its own time into the scenery of the movie itself :) imagine that.

  • This isn't the ship from the movie, although this would be an improvement on what they ended up desigining. This is Gabe Koerner's design for a "reboot" Enterprise. This ship at least looks graceful. JJ Abrams's ship looks awkward and gangly.

  • To me, while this one looks better than abrams design, it seems to borrow a bit too much from star wars, and battle star galactica, and fits in the star trek universe about as much as the enterprise design that was made for "Planet of the Titans" (a star trek movie which never left the drawing board)

  • Yes, the Ralph McQuarry design. Look closely at TNG's aftermath of the Battle at Wolf 359 with the Borg. The concept models of McQuarry's "Star Destroyer" Enterprise are part of the graveyard of ships.

  • Yes, but they are still very rough and rather undeveloped/unrealized.

  • i hope they explain this as a refit

  • mabey someon who owns a copy of SPORE the video game should try making a spore version of this.

  • If you think THIS S**KS wait till you see the bridge set. they ruined it. Just once I'd like to see a prequel that show respect for the original sets! Sheesh!

  • WTF they ruined her!

  • That music made me have gay feelings....was it supposed to?

  • Hi startrek fans. I would like to see a video

done on enterprise with caption james t kirk

vessel at the solor winds of space and have caption pcards vessel enterprise d both meet at the solor winds. Well in kirks ship they never revel what happen to it and that is why I would like to see a video if any of you can take it up as a request like?

  • This vessel configuration is much too advanced to be o prequel to NCC-1701 Enterprise.

  • Um... NX-01?

  • Eh, it's better that the offical design (in the new movie I mean)...

  • bullshit i dont think so besides this is way too designed compared to the official one and i think its bullshitting that i have to see so much insults being thrown after the amount of hard work JJ aberhams put into his version i mean as much as i like this version i too also like this version a tiny bit.

  • I THINK IT IS FANTASTIC i mean a Mahjor improvemnt over the TOS version i mean SERIOUSLY IT LOOKS BAD ASS NOW

  • eh sure but i think JJ Aberhams did a good job with his version i mean give JJ a break ok i mean we are not all purfect and besides this may look good but its a shame this design is not the official movie design.

  • i said i loved it man i was not bashing it

  • i know i know its just im gettin real irritated by the amount of hate being directed to JJ Aberhams himself i mean why cant ppl these days give the guy a break i mean common we are not all purfect and further more if Gene Rodenberry himself had seen this then im sure he would have been so proud as much as he would have been with JJs Enteprise that he would probbly include a certain scene in the new movie with JJs version and this version.

  • What is the matter with these clowns. It doesn't make sense to this more advanced design when they should have used the classic design, especially when this new movie is pre-TOS.

  • WHY! WHY! WHY! The old girl looked fine as is. I guess they felt the need to make her their own and actally make the NX-01 look primitive.

  • It looks like the old enterprise in drag..

  • How to use one single picture for 4 minutes.

  • I don't agree with all the detail points but anything is better than fishtail nacelles.

  • While the rest is okay-ish for me, the maggot-infested deflector dish is just HORRIBLE!

  • gahhhh noooes!! the ship should have white paintwork!!!! shes the swan starship!!! not a freaking gunmetal pos!!! enterprise should be white!!!

  • This ship is just swupar!!!

  • OMG THE MUSIC JUST MADE ME GAY! I so just want to pound some sweet man hole now thanks to that music.

  • If they used the original in the film I would not go see it. Its so lame compared to what can look like now. Just assume what it looks like now is what it was always intended to look like.

  • It's not bad, but I would rather see the first, true Enterprise in the film. That's assuming this ship is for the film.

  • "That's assuming this ship is for the film."

    It isn't.

  • Jeez peeps, this design was just done by a graphic artist in his spare time, this isn't going to substitute the original. Just appreciate's someone's fine interpretation of a popular ship!

  • Absolutely, Delthan, I agree. As a piece of artwork, I think he did a nice job.

  • Apparently, this is what they ARE using. There are comparison shots on the web between this (Koernerprise?) and the Trailer..they match. I think we better get used to her, or BOYCOT!

  • I personally love the redisgn (Not much removed to the original anyway infact more original stuff aded to it). By god people are such fussy old gits.

  • Nieche Sprechensie Deutsch!

  • Don't like it! They should've kept the aesthetics the way Jeffries designed it. Yeah, the blue accentations brought out more of a 'Federation' look to it, but to add the Kotex easy-glide nacelles(missing strings) and giving the deflector an unfinished look to it makes this one look ugly as hell in my opinion.

  • Nope, this sucks. That is not the Enterprise. I really don't see the purpose, or the desireability in altering the original design that much. Did Paramount dislike the ship from the 1960's series? Strange, that they did. Over the years, it's made them a fortune.

  • Who are "they" that you are talking about? This is ONE dude who decided to paint a reimagined version of the enterprise for fun.

I saw this painting two years ago. Apparently someone thought it would be nice to make a youtube video by panning across it. Would be nice if he credited the original artist.

  • wth was that all about?????????

  • great pic but Gayest crappyiest score ever.

shame for who ever did this

  • for a min, the song sounded like reading rainbow. Then the quantum leap song lol

  • The blue trim makes it look even cooler

  • I recognise this version of the Enterprise, It was designd for a Star Trek book called Ships of the Line. The artist is called Gabriel Koerner.

  • The song is DESERT RAIN, from the 1987 CD Desert Vision by David Lanz & Paul Speer. I think they are fairly noted new age musicians.

How I figured that out: 10 years ago my wife got a freebie in-store CD from Victoria's Secret, and loved a song **exactly** like it - BEHIND THE WATERFALL. I just did a search on Amazon for those guys, and sure enough the song in this vid is apparently their best-known song.

  • :((

  • It has the vaguely snazzy yet ultimately klunky and kitschy look of an early 1970s Soviet jetliner.

But let's be fair. Who says Ilyushin won't be in the starship contracting business 300 years from now?

  • IT DOES have a very chrome inspired, retro jet-age look to it. Smooth in some places, angular in others. Just replace the Bussard collectors with propellers, and replace the Starfleet insignia with a hammer and sickle and you've got the USSR's Cosmos Trek, lol.

  • Toooooo slow! Should be a 1 minute clip.

Instead of inspiring me, it put me to sleep ... 1 star.

  • looks great, what's with the goofy music, though?

  • I think' it's a cool design, what I think it would look like If they had just started the original Star Trek Series today.

Nice video by the way, Love the music. What song is that?

  • Nice!

  • now this i a very good reimagined look of the original enterprise..its just like the original only put in fa more detailed pixelsandall..be cool to work it into the showsens they just keep remaking the HD-edition over and over

  • now y wwud u want that buckit of bolts

  • Not bad at all, now lets just hope the new movie doesn't bury the Star Trek franchise beyond revival.

  • I think if they reworked some of Matt Jefferies original works to keep it cannon.

  • it a nice model but i dont like th stardrive at all. its too klunky, too many harsh steps in the hull. It doesn't suit the pretty sleek look of the rest of the model.

  • We are talking bout "THE ORIGINAL SERIES" here! They even have Leonard Nimoy! The original Spock, to pass the torch here!

Do you see the connection yet?!?

    DUH!

  • you have to realise this is a re work of the original 60's enterprise, you can still tell, wow thats the constitution class, but more detailed.

To be honest if star trek was started these days thats probably the design theyd go for to appeal to a modern audience who ask many more questions then an audience in the 60's who were shocked we even made it to the moon.

  • nasa faked the moon landing

  • no, your just stupid.

  • What are you nattering about that for? That's totally unrelated.

  • The enterprise in the Teaser looked just like the original, only it looks more realistic. And the new movie is completly cannon, if you read memory alpha, the CANNON star trek wiki, you will realize that Abrams reads that for continuity and that the Enterprise was infact made on Earth.

  • Why are you telling us this and you made yourself look stupid by saying CANNON when its CANON!

  • Why not rename it something different when this is plainly, patently NOT the Enterprise, with a penispoker sticking out of the front. WHat is that? An Enterprise-kabob? You amateurs should stop getting carried away with your own designs AND call them "Enterprise". Call it "Entertoilet" or "Entermefrombehind" or "Junkmobile"?

  • LOL

  • This is off the subject of this video:

All you fans will still bitch and moan about ST XI. "It's not cannon, it's not cannon! blah blah blah." I will still enjoy the movie like all other ST movies and series. there are some I LOVE and there is a couple that could have been better. Just enjoy ST or quit watching and bitching about it!

    Live on Star Trek!!

  • Nice images, but your choice of music sucks arse.....sorry man.

  • It's amazing how many people have all these alleged trek 'facts' built up in their minds. Canon is what's on screen. Games, books, tech manuals, etc can be overridden or changed at any time. Example: we are never told what NCC stands for, that kirk is the youngest captain, or that spock is the first Vulcan. Quote the episode or its complete bunk. On top of that, the next film will be a 're-imagining' so it's like complaining that Batman begins doesn't use the same suit from the 60's batman show.

  • NOT! I repeat! NOT a "re-imagining'! Stay Tuned!

  • Pics of new Enterprise 1701 are different in details. The actors are different, covering a very close time period. That is a 're-imagining'. A simple sequel or prequel would use the same design for the ship, and only use different actors if the time period were very different (like seeing young Indy Jones) or with no other choice. They might keep all the major backstory the same but it's still a re-imagining. Canon fact: 1701 did not have a blue glowy thing on the side.

  • Well the enterprise doesn't look entirely different. They kept a lot of the design(my opinion) close to the original. I see it that the timeline of star trek is design based on the creators perspective of the future. With this day and age, our perspective of future technology is a lot more detailed. I see it as looking at the ship with more current eyes, I doubt the design of the ship will screw the Star Trek Timeline in any way.

  • ...i like it...it actually looks like a warship instead of plastic.

  • This is NOT the Enterprise that will be seen in "Star Trek XI"! This is simply a "speculative design" of the Constitution class starship.

  • itd be kool if they did use this design tho

  • Those of you who think the new model of the Enterprise won't do and that only the original can be used have no appreciation for "re-imaginings". The new Battlestar Galactica is an entirely new kind of thing, and is far superior to the original. It's the same kind of deal here, though I do have to admit the original crew can never be replaced. However, if you want the original design and the original crew, go buy the DVDs and let the rest of us enjoy the view J.J. is embracing.
