I noticed some of the people commenting here are making a common mistake of equating Habesha with nationality.

Eritrea does not equal Habesha nation nor does Ethiopia...both countries do have large populations of Habesha people but that's in addition to an equally large or even larger non-Habesha population in each country.

Both countries are a collection of different ethnicities (ex. Habesha, Oromo, Kunama, etc.). Claiming the countries are Habesha will marginalize the other ethnicities. Pce
