I have a 2005 xb with a manuel transmission i love it! i bought it damn near bran new it is silver with silverish grey flame decals on the front down the side of the door,it has some nice custom stuff done black leather interior tv's dvd player nice black motegi racing rims i put a cool air intake on it headers and a custom grille it has dark tinted windows,And it does amazing on gas it is the best car and it fits my 2 older kids and my newest edition perfect the only negetive is trunk space.

I just bought this car.

Can someone tell me how far below the last red line can I allow the pointer to go on the fuel gauge before I completely run out of gas? Lately I've been fueling up when the pointer is right on the last red line. I used to own a Honda civic and I would let the pointer go just a tad below the last line but with Toyotas I'm totally new so I don't know. Thanks.

for some reason when i bought mine for second hand, its rear break light covers are completely red, unlike all the other ones i've seen on the road where its white with 2 red strip....

I do not like the newer design of these cars (but then again the 2004-2006 xB is the newest car I like, new cars are so ugly and the same looking.) so im going to get a 1st generation used one. See I wanted a small car with good mileage, but needed an SUV. So this thing is perfect, and its really big inside. Thanks to my neighbor getting one, I love these cars.

I have a 2006 5 speed xb. Only bad thing is it needs more weight over the front tires. It spins a lot and has trouble in the lightest snow. I would buy again though.

I have a 2005 5 speed, I average 33 MPG, this is the best all around car I have owned. I would not even consider the new XB, with the 2.4L 24 MPG engine. This car has more headroom and legroom than my Ford Crewcab Superduty. This car gets 5 stars a great buy!

I love my Brave Little Toaster! (or as the neighborhood Mexican kids call it "el carro feo!" ) I enjoy driving it because it's great for the city and gets good mileage. My dealership keeps harrassing me to sell it back (Don't want the second gen xB - too much like an SUV). I have never even heard of dealerships begging you for the car they sold to you. Go figure. But me and Toaster, we have a good time together.

i love my car too, i think the dealerships want them back because they can make a ton of money on our cars once they are used, but the markup on a new scion is around 600, but a used one, with the good gas mileage, accessories, etc. can be well over $3000... i also don't like the new generation of the car, i loved that the antenna was in the rear windows, and that it was so square, without any blindspots virtually.... now they just aren't as strange, too round, and the rear windows are gone

Yes, I was at the dealership the other day (long story) and they weren't sure about getting my car now that it is in "full toaster mode" esp. the flaming toasts on the sides. Can't wait to find a square steering wheel and toast slot sunroof. I get lots of laughs and compliments, but mostly "WTF looks." Long live the Brave Little Toaster! Even stock these cars make me smile. Went to a Scion show, Wow! what people do with these cars! Watch the Japanese Netz ads if you can. (It's bB in Japan.)

yea i used to sell at a toyota dealership, and we would research what people were doing to them at the time. all i've done so far is get some black 18's and tint the windows to match the privacy glass. i want to smoke out the lights and paint the logos flat black as well as put in some coil overs, and make some powertrain improvements.

These cars are sweet. If people knew they were actually Daihatsu's nobody would have bought them. Toyota was smart making a new brand called scion after daihatsu failed in America.

I have been driving a black xB for a year now.

No problems, it is awesome for what it does, and it's very fun to drive.

I can't think of another car that does everything the box can do for any price.

If you drive conservatively, 37mpg is not uncommon for city and highway driving.

I'll tell you, they are hard to buy these day's there isn't another car in the market with that much interior space and gets 31 City MPG's!!! Call it ugly, but it's peppy, it's handles like a gokart, lots of room and good on gas!!!

I owned one but didn't think had enough power. That's the only complaint I had about it. If you put a Celica GT-S Engine and Transmission in the XB it would be perfect.
