Same happened to me in halo reach. There was this guy with a pistol to his head, talking about all of the invisible things in the area. I ha no idea what he was talking about, so naturally I did what u did, killed him. But I used a plasma grenade:)... Never saw him again. He probably flew off of the back of the chasm behind him. New Alexandria was a weird level...

Basically i ran out of there with active camo on and a jackhammer (u may no that that came in handy for the hunters) The only reason i killed the marine was because for whatever reason he shot me and i still had sheilds down from a previous encounter with a concussion rifle
