  • In historical fact, Pocahontas was ONLY 10 yrs of age when she was force to have sex with the person that had raped her. She NEVER fell in love with that person who engaged in sex with her until after she was pregnant with her son.

  • as the background music called?

  • my fav part, the way he looks at her when she is asking for the english words, oh colin farrell =)

  • this shit is fake the real story is a 14 year old girl was raped and kidnapped by a fat 43 year old officer and after he was done with her he posined her in london

  • @0102106kls,You were right up until the part that she was poisoned by him in London.

  • Lol it's ok for a Native family to own this movie, right? Just sayin......

  • i still wonder if they were really like that...all peaceful and innocent etc. i know some tribes werent.

i moved from the south and i miss the land so much. my blood is in the soul so to speak. this is why im on this video. thanks for uploading

  • 4:27 - she's breathing way to hard for a girl who's supposed to be resting. lol. i would be too.

  • does anyone where i can find the whole movie online?

  • 3:03 the most beautiful statement in the whole movie! the wonderful imagination of a great living together, why are we humans not able to implement these essential features? the whole message,... no, the whole movie could change minds!

  • colin farell really knows how to look at a woman

  • @pujot Yeah really.... *swoon*

  • I love how they kept changing the way that John Smith met Pocohontes.

  • @XxKID1xX he actually added her on Facebook...chatted her a few times then this shit happened

  • @zcarver25 Really? Hmm, I though it was on Myspace. They must've changed the story, like always.

  • ew she was only 14 when this was filmed.

  • @xWithEyesLikeSunsets it actually wasnt that graphic and all there really was is closed mouth or should i say dry mouth kissing the lack of sexuality i believe is what makes the audience love this work of art compared to most movies today which might aswell be pornos, the simpleness and little gestures the innocence of it all is very pronounced in this movie and how it screams out so much emotion ranging from love, loss, compassion, passion, devotion and understanding how they can bring all this to-

  • @xWithEyesLikeSunsets how they can bring all these emotions through her little gestures and barely any physical contact and have it sink into the soul is outstanding by itself

  • @xWithEyesLikeSunsets ya she was 14 but she had to b because that was around the age that pocahontas meet john smith in real life omg. pluse back in that time period which the movie was set in it was a natural thing for young or ready to marrie girls to be with older men.

  • Though there are very very few lines in this movie, it's probably one of my favorite movies of all time. The scenery makes me miss Virginia. :(

  • John Smith (when Pochahontas saved him) was very old. While She was 11 or 12

  • @AyejayyHunayy this completely true i read about it

  • wow john really let himself go................

  • this is so beautiful!

  • Awww how gorgeous

  • I like his reaction on the disturbing word "mouth"

Thump up: =if= you like to kiss her right now. Man or women it doesn't matter really on the webs...

  • Pocahontas epitomises the new world... a beautiful woman raped and then killed by the white man.

  • @ImaginedWriter pocahontas liked to swallow...

  • I like Kalani Queypo's facepaint

  • disney version is amazing. one of my favorite films ever!

  • This is my favorite sequence in an film, ever. The Best.

  • wait a sec. . . John Smith and Pocohantas were never involved. For a movie like this you'd think they'd be a little more accurate :( Other then that beautiful scenes and music. Reminds me of "Dances with Wolves"

  • @Bethlc81

True. Then just go read a history book instead of watching this movie. This is what movies are for...an escape from reality.

  • what track on the soundtrack is the music that starts at 5:50? cant find it

  • 3:12 Aww! The little baby kisses him. So cute. :D

  • "All the children of the king were beautiful; but she, the youngest, was so exceedingly so that the sun himself--though he saw her often--was surprised whenever she came into his presence."

Is it possible for a movie to be so perfect that it's a little bit awful? Like, I just feel human eyes are not fit to look upon this work of art. xD

  • why would u say that ?

  • @citrinestone sorry but the quote by john can u explain it i know she is da most favorite but wat else

  • I wish life was like that....rid of lies, deceit

    just hard working honest people

  • Concierto para Piano Nº 23 de Mozart;

    ese es =)

  • segundo movimiento :)

  • quiero saber el tema que suena de fondo, como se llama?

    si alguien supiera ..por favor

    me encanta esta pelicula

  • isnt alex meraz in this movie?

  • Sad that this scene is low quality video and audio, I can't find others on utube without poorly choised alternative soundtrack. Sick.

  • Ahhhaha... moving films... ha

  • You ever watch the features from the DVD, they looked all over the wolrd for this acress and she was in LA the whole time!!

  • watch the disney version if you want moving films

  • He's such a fu.... good actor

  • I agree...she would be perfect for that

  • this movie is beautiful

  • I thought the scene were the indian baby is crawling on top of smith with the monolgue in the background to be the most moving in the film

  • Do you know what piece is playing near the beginning? I have the soundtrack, but I think it only has original pieces, and the tune at the first part sounded almost like Tchaikovsky.

  • its the concerto no. 23 adagio (k488) by mozart

  • I dont know the name but it is beautiful!

  • This is like he loves her as a girlfriend. kinda creepy.

  • If you're talking about the age difference it wasn't very strange back then. Really.

  • I'm sorry, but I love the shirtless scenes with Colin Farrel.

  • I doubt they look anything like that. My journey will never end in finding something close to authentic about pocahantas.

  • i love this scene

the way hes sooo cute and shy when he says lips

and hes so handsome, his irish accent...i could go on

    the things he says....so profound

    love..

shall we deny it when its visits us..

  • this film was so quiet i had to turn the volume up... and then it goes loud... x]

  • I wanna learn Powhatan!

  • It took me this movie to start appreciating colin's acting.

  • believe me I liked this movie, it was a good representation of what happened. but throughout this whole move they had to cover Colin's right side back and arm with dirt and burn marks just to hide his tattoos. but I can still see parts of it. But thank you for posting this clip it is one of my favorite scenes.

  • an irish english captain eh? (rolls eyes) interesting! :(

  • this movie is a masterpiece

  • god colin farrel is hot!

  • TERRENCE MALICK best director movie

  • Can I just say that this is like the most beautiful movie ever!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • Amazing acting !

  • Thanks! This is my fav part too!!

  • great film

  • what's the music?

  • Mozart Piano Concerto No.23

  • there are some movies like that one which surpass the concept itself of cinema.

    There's no word to explain the beauty of these images , they become silence and inner sensation. maybe the word to define it is DIVINE;

  • michaimeskinsek _Don't believe everything Hollywood toss at you. First off, John Smith wasn't young as portrayed by Colin Farrel. He was in fact old enough to be her father. Pocahontas was already married to a Native American when OUR tribe was attacked and her husband was killed in battle. Second, she didn't died in Europe of illest, she was poisoned because she wanted to return to Virgina. P.S.. I'M Powhatan Renape, If you knew half of the truth you would see it's nothing DIVINE about it.

  • @Spyder8561 Could you please share your version of the story? it is very interesting ^^

  • colin is just sexy in this movie!!!

  • THANK! FAV SCENES FROM THE MOVIE!

  • it's just magical.. :)lol i'm so corny but it's my all time fave! Natives are spicy (BUT in reality pocahontas did NOT fall in love with Smith, she was 11 years old! lol oh and them people kidnapped her.. sigh* like wtf and then when she was supposed to return home she suddenly fell ill and died! tear* (poison)

    ~peace out!

  • I loved this movie. This is a very good scene. Thanks for posting it.

  • These are the only scenes I like out of this movie, other then the ones where John S. is teaching her the translations for sun, water, and wind. Thank you.

  • was it historically true what JS said? did any1 write that stuff about the first nation peoples? i've always thought of them in that way.

    that baby is adorable btw

  • Rach -

The goal of the movie is to move you..not be historically accurate.....its not supposed to be a documentary.,

  • yeah, true.

i've just always wondered if the first nation people really were the way he described :)

  • poca was born 1990 and john smith was born 1976

  • That would make them now 18 and 32 respectively, now wouldn't it?

Actually, Pocahontas is believed to have been born around 1595 and John Smith in 1580.

  • so beautiful, I love movies that reflect so much on nature and our own spirituality intertwined with it.!

  • i love Q"Orinaka made two vids about her but i wonder who else with native heritage could play Pocahontas Malese Jow Jojo Taylor Dooley Jana Mashonee

  • Had Pokahanas won her match against Tori Kelly, she would have gone up against David Archuleta on Star Search instead of Tori.

VOTE FOR ARCHULETA --- HE RULES !!!

  • hey i like your video clip come check out my new world music video

  • This is so beautiful, despite it's wild innacuracy. I'm still waiting for someone to do an accurate version of the Pochahontas story w/out doing the whole John Smith romance thing. But this is still cute ^_^

  • ...God, I know the real story, but the movie would be terribly depressing. Oh well, that's history for you. She gets raped, she dies of disease...what can you do.

  • Well, it would make for a good drama. But I don't know which Hollywood prefers better, sappiness or extreme depressing-ness...LOL

Not that this is sappy, or anything; I still like it :)

  • @Rhaxma how u know she got rape wasnt she married who rape her cuz i know white men rape da native chicks

  • Damn, i wish i was that girl! Colin is MINEEEEEEE! lol

    xx

  • oh, their so sweet!! and HE is soooo handsome!!

i have to see this movie!! i was so excited when i heard of this movie but still i haven't seen it! i can't believe it!

  • we had to watch the movie in social studes. :) i liked it. :) thanks for posting.

  • But I kind of like the way he is gentle and careful in that scen...

  • considering the entire reason they are there in the first place.

  • Grr, still haven't seen this though I've been meaning to since before it came out... LOL at how much they toned down the love scenes, I guess because she was only 14 at the time. This looks like a pretty stunning movie.

  • auctually the real pocahontas was 13 at the time

  • The real Pocahontas did not have an affair with John Smith. That's just legend.

  • It's not known for sure, but it's possible :P.

  • And you know because you were there, right? lol

  • Woah I never knew that the cheif had that much kids 0_0

  • I'll never look at Disney's Powhatan the same way againXD...

  • Well, times were different. Most people did not live to see the age of thirty. So everything they did in life was like earlier than anything we do today...

Think a few hundred years earlier than Pocahontas: Beatrix of Burgundy was married to Friedrich I. (Barbarossa) at the age of 12. She bore him over 10 children and probably died because of it...

  • the mother of pocahontas in this movie was the voice of pocahontas in the animated movies and physical body they used to model the animated pocahontas.

  • Really? Cool...

  • yeah

  • Does anybody know what is that music which begins 5:50??? The music before is Mozart Piano concert Nr.23, Adagio

    Thanks for ideas

  • I'll have to second that inquiry - it's incredibly beautiful, but I've never heard it anywhere before or since in my searches.

  • 23rd concerto mozart

  • I read in a book that she betrayed her father and sold her people down the river.

  • She was kidnapped and they used her as hostage to get what they wanted. It is possible she had to set up many of her people or her father were told false things in order for them to get whatever it was they wanted

  • i dont like john wth dark hairs i prefer him with blond ones.like in the disney's movie

  • do they kiss at all in this movie?

  • The music is Mozart and it's beautiful, and perfect in its simplicity for this movie.

  • realy? i have been looking for this particlyer peace for some times now can you tell me what is is called it whould be much apearshiated

  • yo, i'm pretty sure it's the 23rd concerto.

  • yucccky music, yeaaah. x/

  • wdf y u call ur self transformers? stupid jk transformers the movie owned OWNED

  • Ew...yeah it did...that's such an inappropriate song for it.

  • the music in this movie made it terrible

  • The cutest most adorable part was from 3:04-3:13, where Colin Farrell is playing with the baby :)I could just eat him up

  • I've never seen a movie so beatifull like this.. I cried and cried at the end...

  • and then you should have realized it's so ethnocentric that it's really an ugly movie!

  • heh heh, never heard ugly used in such a context before. Funny.

  • ?? um, neevr seen it, but i dont thin itd be good. :P

  • Its a pretty good movie.... but the editing feels "different" from your average movie, which is what thrown many people off.

  • the editting with his narration made it almost like poetry. Snapshots and such like a personal documentary or something.

  • Anybody that tries to call this film crap. Doesn't know sh!t about quality films. Period.

  • what in the world was that?

  • It's kind of weird that Pochahontas doesn't speak english but still all her thoughts are spoken in english.

  • this movie is pure crap. no basis in fact at all.

  • What??? There's a film? Like, when?

  • This is my best friend's cousin. I live her, shes RAD!!!

  • this movie looks excellent, i really want to see it

  • And she's related to Jewel. :)

  • huh! I noticed that her features were strangely spanish-looking.

  • yeah she's mixed with peru[i dont know for sure what thats called if you're from there, portugese? no]

  • Not that I know any better, being Native Canadian, but I've always said Peruvian.

  • [you too!] yeah i know. just didnt remeber it. heh peruvian, awright.

  • i noticed she speaks english, you're right this movie is not very accurate

  • yeah she never had anything with john- did i say that it wasnt accurate before? dont remember. i still love it. they need to make more true stories.

  • Her mother is Swedish her father is full blood Amerindian from Peru from the unmixed indigenous people he is from the Quechua tribe

  • Comment removed

  • She's half-Quechuan and half Swede. I didn't see any Spanish resemblance in her at all.

  • she says that her father is full blood native of Quechua Huachipaeri tribes unmixed Amerindian people

  • what do you mean you are pulling Amerindian features from from her appearance she is half indigenous American half Swedish Spanish people don't look like gorge Lopez Amerindians who speak Spanish are not Spanish look up the video on you tube called Hispanic are not a race and Spaniards are not white then after watching them read history from wikipida or other sources about the history of Latin America

  • i think you need to chill out.

  • wow...people didnt like my comment...weird...Im peruvian and I like the fact that she is in an american movie...btw...pocahontas as far as history knows....she didnt marry john smith :-S she was too little when both met.

  • @GRABBAGWOOT

    she doesn't look like spanish

  • @araci88

of course that she is native american because America is not a country America is a CONTINENT and Perú is part of it

  • @Ajaa94 You sound just like my Mexican husband. :) I'm white and gringa. We only call our country 'America' and refer to ourselves as 'Americans' out of laziness. The actually name is 'United States of America', and we just say 'America' for short. I tell my husband this but he refuses to listen. Everyone once in a while, I'll call us 'Unitedstatesians' just to appease him. :)

  • Tell your mexican husband that there is only one America the United States of America. There is also North and South America.

  • @NJRocks281 Now I have to apologize to my husband. I didn't realize some of my fellow countrymen are so arrogant. I thought about trying to explain his point of view to you, but arrogance closes a person's mind.

  • @Awenasa2 America is a continet not a country, THE name America is from America Vespucio de Italian man who know what this world not is the INDIA, are a continente, and in the Spanish Colony is for First time where the name Of America is Used, The english say to this territories West Indian

Im a American from South america, From the Continente America, not only the Yankees are american

    Sorry my Bad english

  • @pastrianii Grrr!! I sent you message but I'll say it here anyways. I say 'America' because I am LAZY! LAZY! That's the only reason! I know some Americans are arrogant, but not me. I don't want to go around having to say, "I am a citizen of the U.S." instead of simply saying "I'm American". Mexico is actually called the United States of Mexico. Most people just Mexico. Same thing. Sorry to be rood. My husband and I have gone around and around about this. Your English is really good by the way.

  • @Awenasa2 ok i read your message, and i have to say, Im Proud to be a American man, most specific a Chilean-italian Man, for logic its ok say "American" for all people of the continent, and also from the people of USA

Again, sorry for my bad english, i have only 4 months learning the language, but i talk also Portuguese, Italian, and the language from my motherland Chile, Spanish Im Historian and If you have any question ask me ok

Its nice to meet your opinion

bye my "us citizen Friend" Chao!

  • @pastrianii :)
