  • Scott looks like private Pile from Full Metal Jacket in this perfomance! Both real dark characters too....

  • 1:59 - 2:04 look at that mother fuckers face..lol thats what intense looks like

  • EPIC

  • check out wolves in the throne room, they are more black metal than anything, they are how i found out about Neurosis. Neurosis is a big influence of theirs!

    Check out

Face in a night time mirror part one

beware most of there songs are 13 to 20 minutes long.

  • Pure, uncensored emotion. Neurosis are so powerfully moving.

  • every Neurosis-album is a monument. they're creative progress from album to album is huge. truly the best band in the world, noone can touch them!

  • neurosis changed the way i listen to music forever.

  • I love listening to this song while I am driving in the fall time in the mountains. It's so amazing and spiritual.

  • This is the most deep, the most atmospheric and the most inspiring song I've ever heard. Neurosis is not normal band, it's an inspiration.

  • hey officernarc...with all that brain power..ya wont reach spirit my friend...but ur friends will still like you ,right? HAHA YEA,RE-LEARN OURSELFS

  • if it makes you feel better, i don't believe in god and i'm not spiritual. the closest i ever come to it is when i play or listen to music like this, so i guess i don't really care about "reaching spirit" (whatever that's supposed to mean?)

  • This is a GREAT fucking version of this song live. Awesome video too, thanks for posting.

  • Most original and criminally underrated bands ever. No one is like Neurosis because they invented their own sound almost from scratch.

    ITS INSPIRING

  • well, they obviously had their influences, none who are really obvious, though. i mean, i can listen to "a sun that never sets" and not point out a single artist who i think had a direct influence on that record. i think their sound is almost intended as a reaction against what they were influenced by. at least, that's how i see it.

  • i think you are right ...

  • @Stirrethcharybdis well, Neurosis often cite bands like Black Sabbath, Black Flag, the Swans, and Pink Floyd as major influences, and if one is familiar with those bands, they can tell where that influence is apparent: black sabbathy type riffs with pink floydian song structures. thats an over simplification, but the influence is apparent. though i agree with you anyways, Neurosis have carved their own unique vision, and their influence on today's bands in incalculable

  • @matternicuss Oh yeah, I totally agree with what your saying as well....everything gots roots, they've just managed to obscure them very well.

  • @Stirrethcharybdis

I dont think they are underrated. I dont care about mainstream bands, but in the underground metal scene everyone knows these guys, and give them the credit they deserve. Only they are in a different dimension from any mainstream band ( being mainstream doesnt make you crap ).

  • took me a while to get into neurosis after listening to a lot of the more easier accesible mastodon but now that I have i can't stop listening

  • Amazing stuff.

Neurosis are definitly the best band on the earth ...

  • Isis is influenced by Neurosis. Both are among favorites in my book.

  • godlike

  • what can i say. best band in the world...

  • this is my fav song off times of grace!

  • Nice and doomy.

  • You got it backwards mos, Isis is the slightly boring version of Neurosis but that doesnt surprise me coming from a person who discovers Metal via Isis.

  • i can see where you're coming from, and I'll probably agree with you in a few years time

dont get me wrong, theyre technical, full of passion, but i dont really get the songs.

  • try smoking a joint...

    This is so fucking good-thanks!

  • they sighned isis

  • It's very understandable. Neurosis is an acquired taste for many. Would say that The Eye of Every Storm is one album that takes a few listens. But it's worth it none the less.

  • try getting one of their albums called "A sun that never sets".... that may be more accessible....

... but this is music you have to invest yourself into, it has to become one with you so you can feel and appreciate it.

i absolutely LOVE Isis, but they're two different universes.

    Peace.

  • I agree. "Times of Grace" and "Through Silver in Blood" are pretty nasty (but perfect). Listening "The Eye of Every Storm" is a diferent fairytale:) My fovourite.

  • Great album man. Neurosis is top shelf.

  • Awesome video - great live quality!

...man, thye just don't make albums like "Times of Grace" anymore, do they?
