  • valid point. Thanks for the vid.

  • your stupid

  • obviously you have way too much on your time if you're commenting on alka selter and tronix country, these are commercials on tv that come on during the day or late night.

you do have a cute puppy though.

  • I don't know what the point is of posting this unless you like to see yourself on the internet. I was skeptical about this company but someone told me they used them and had a very good experience. If they did him right they can't be all that bad plus it seems like they're providing a service if people are using them.

  • Tronix Country is a joke... that's why I made a parody commercial about them.

Personally I'd rather have some 7up vs. Alkaseltzer...

  • Comment removed

  • my bad.

  • I know this is a little old, but I wanted to correct you about Tronix Country: their systems start at $29.99 WEEKLY, not monthly. The big reason to avoid them is simply that the place is a giant ripoff.

These computers would be $500 or $600 in a store, but they sell them at $1550 (desktop) and $2080 (laptop). The pitch is very misleading and, even asking simple questions will get you scripted responses designed to deliver deceptive answers if it doesn't sidestep the issue entirely. Stay away!

  • thanx for the correction.

    absolute rip off.

  • i dont understand how loans are like at "6%" but if you look at how much youre paying, its actually more like 6X

  • yeah they rip you just like rent to own.

  • ooolong9, are you sure they are still doing a computer for credit? Because they are the only giving out credit. The US & the world is currently in a massive credit crisis, not to get to technical but the fiancial system has seized up like like an old coke machine that won't give you no co-cola!

They have dropped Short treasury to 0% OMFG

This Credit crisis is the worse event happening now, the last bubble to go it T-bills. Once that bubble pops it a freight elevator straight to the bottom!

  • yup, i am sure. it was pretty silly. people wouldn't be in a credit crisis if people lived with in their means, and corporations that didn't feed on people dreams. but they are still at it.

  • The $700 Billion dollar Tarp was aimed at the banks to unfreeze credit. It has not worked. Nobody is buying anything now. Well I did anyway, a new hunting rifle wifey got me for my Xmas present.

You sound like a Peter Schiff or Ron Paul type, We need to take our medicine!

The Dollar has remained firm because the G20 devalued their own currencies to prop the dollar up for

BTW I'm still a Vegan the rifle is for targets and maybe We might go carnivore when the shit hits the fan.

  • lol. glad you would shoot something before you starved.

it didn't work because the banks are buying each other up instead of loaning money.

if people are finally learning to not leverage their entire life on debt, this slow down of spending is a real good thing. It is a big step towards people becoming accountable for their decisions.

  • I'm 50 and I am just learning about the Fractional Reserve banking system, Another Scam perpetuated by Bankers, BTW did you see they just arrested a Hedge fund Manager who looted over $1 Trillion, "B. Madoff" in what he termed himself as nothing but a Ponzi scheme.

You are absoletly right this debt party has gone on too way too long, an economy that is based on credit is doomed to failure.

It's is not just the people, it is the Goverment too at fault. Goverment needs it's credit cards cut up!

  • in a way it's a form of oppression. take someone with an addiction (in this case instant gratification) then hold in front of them, keeping them psychologically and financially off balance, maintains control. but it doesn't make a strong society.

  • Wow, I'm impressed. You have been watching this situation haven't you. A secret. I am obessed with it but pretty much don't talk about on friends channels because it can be a bit grim. My poor wife has to put up with it. I try not to talk about to much unless around others interested as people find it to complicated or a downer especially during the Winter Holidays.

Maybe Obama has some tricks up his sleeve to help ease the pain. There is a lot of pain coming. Obama will be Handholder in Chief

  • BTW, when I say I am obessed by it I mean in the sense that I am facsinated by it and horrified at the same time.

The true nature of economy has been exposed and we all have to put our little thinking caps on and try to figure the best way out of the mess, some think more the credit is the anwser which as Peter Schiff says it just the prolonging the disease, like telling an alcholic, you need to drink more. Some think the answer is to let the corporations fail and put millions out of work.

  • it's not the big mess that people think it is. if people are learning to be more thrifty, things will slow down and maybe stuff will be priced like it is supposed to be. i don't think it is bad that people stopped buying stuff they don't need. just a lot of people selling that stuff will have to find something new

  • Thrify is probaly the way to go. However I beg to differ with you on what you said about how big a mess this is. Nothing like this has every happened in the history of the world. This is about 100 fold more complicated & devasting then the depression. Many of the factors involved didn't exist in early 20th century. There are a few common factors, such as speculative bubbles, credit, fiat currencies, manufacturing but after those commonalties it gets ever so much more complicated with more at stake

  • Not to worry. New deal two is on the way. Under Obama rule we will be attacked again and see a whole new economy develop from the war machine that the democrats hate unless they do it. WWIII will save us.

  • Yeah B I can't wait, My kid thinks it is going to be Road Warrior time with people in cars with welded metal ports, hey there is some welding for you ooolong9 fighting it out in a barren moonscape of leather clad mohawk looking Mad Max's out for the gasoline. I told him, son the down side is no playstation for you in that scenario. Shucks he says, can't have everything I suppose.

Maybe Obama will turn auto industry into makeing more Humvee's and Bradley's. We can start with Hugo Chavez first

  • oooh, i want to be the car czar!

  • I wish they would make you the car czar, somebody with some dern sense.

  • lol. i don't know. my leadership style has been compared to machiavelli.

  • OMG, maybe not such a good idea. Maybe they can raise cash and auction the postion off on eBay, you know kinda of like a senate seat. Oh we don't want to give too many idea's it might become another bad habit of selling Goverment jobs to raise money lol.

Guess it couldn't hurt. I would pay for a job as say, running the mint or keeper of the gold, you can call me "Goldy" cause I like Gold.

  • OK Goldy, you do that, and i will rub my pennies together and become the a hole that over watches these bail outs.

  • That is the problem with Mr.O he is just to damn nice a guy. LOL We need as you say an a- hole.....lol. Head a-hole. Got anybody in mind that is meaner then you S?

  • oh, i know a few. if you are looking for the kind that trims off the fat and hold people feet to the fire for their actions/lack of action, i have lineage of that. then there are a few people i have worked with over the years.

  • Ok, so your saying a good one would be like Jesse "the body" Ventura. I think he is great. Perfect for the job. So much better then Arnold.

  • hell, i was thinking about my dad, my brother, and an old retired army sergeant i know that spent some time as a cop. and oh yeah, rudy giuliani

  • I agree with all of them except the last. I just can't feature putting a cross dress in power again. Not that there is anything wrong with cross dressing per se, but it put people in black mail postion, so no Rudy Guilani is wrong in so many ways.

  • he's not perfect, but his record speaks for him. i learned a great deal of leadership and work ethic from his writing as well.

  • I'm not trying to be diffulcult, I hope your not related to him, but you must ask, he put the command center in the world trade center after if was bombed in the nineties, What was he thinking, He suggested an organised crime figure to held Homeland security, Bernarnd Kerioc I think is his name, He didn't win a single primary that I know of, Had an affair using on duty police and city apts for his affair and is cross dresser. Where you are coming from, is it because he is so damn good looking?

  • "where are you coming from?"

i read his book and i found exceptional skills in leadership and insuring that your employees are accountable for the job they do. he is really good at utilizing people for their qualities rather than fixing their short comings and making them marginal. he has exceptional analytical applications that insure that leaders are informed with is always a problem in multi echelons.

  • Ok, my bad I guessed you thought Rudi was hot. Look I'm in no hurry but what is the name of the book, I'll take it at your leisure. No rush, I should read book before passing judgement, I will say when he dresses up looks as good as Robin Williams did as Mrs. Doubtfire.

  • The book is named "Leadership" That is what i was looking for too. He talks a lot about what he has done which you may find egocentric, but I was looking for examples of good leadership in application and I found a lot that i passed on to my subordinates, and found a lot of good ways to explain why i expected the things that i already expected from them.

  • Thanks, I will check it out on Amazon. It is very appealing in the way you so gracefully handle my comments, that must be some of the leadership qualities that you are talking about. You seem not to get flustered by stupid or inane people.

Speaking of leadership, do you know where the Roman word "Decimated" came from and how that is used in leadership roles? I bet you can't answer that unless you look it up on the Wiki.

  • thank you. i have had a lot of practice with difficult people and so often you are a good roll player. LMAO.

    Nope, tell us all. :-)

  • LOL, Well thankyou ooolong9, I like to think that I excel at some things. You know for me it is a God given talent. You could call it a calling or vocation.

Decimation comes from the Roman Army version of Discipline, if say a cohort f@#ks up, well then they stand at attention, the Centurion counts off every 10th guy and he gets "decimated" by the rest. This is a way they encouraged and or maintained discipline the ranks. Now we use that word differently. You have been enlightened :)

  • nothing like a little peer pressure.

thank you. that is good info.

  • It seemed to work for them, They ruled for almost a thousand years. They seemed to know a little on how to get the job done.

When the Romans said "Ger er done" it got done.

  • yeah, we already mentioned machiavelli, didn't we?

  • Of course Machiavelli, Kinda of the Chicago Way, you know the drill, Sente Seat, how bad you want it Jocko, you go low I go high. How much was he selling Mr. O's senate seat for a cool mil? I would have bought that if I had a mil. Then it would Be Sentor Valhala and I would act like a swaggering Barney Frank but not gay. Wow to bad this Govenor got busted ....but maybe I can buy another office, maybe Congressman or something that would be cool.

  • Nobody ever thought New York City could be restored from the depth of corruption it had reached. Not to mention the ugly appearance it had been reduced to.

Rudy Giuliani is the man that did it.

Times square used to be a place to be avoided, it is now a major attraction again. No more peep shows and prostitutes on every corner, in every doorway. I could write a book on the things he did for my beautiful city. If you ask me the president has an easier job.

  • i lived there for a year in brooklyn. i thought i would be scared, but it was really nice. it was a beautiful city. paris was more dangerous and dirty.

i agree about giuliani being responsible for all that. you should read his book too.

  • Try telling someone from Brooklyn, or Queens for that matter that they live on long Island.

It's funny because they refuse to admit it. They are living in "The City". The fact that those Burroughs are on the Island is meaning less to them.

Giuliani was the best Mayor of New York in my lifetime.

  • careful what you wish for. :)

  • Hun.....If you can drink takillya w/o making a face you're a better man than I am.......LMAO

  • maybe one day i will demonstrate. gotta say, turning different colors doesn't constitute making a face. lol

  • Surely, makibg a face is part of the fun of drinking Tequila? =)

  • some guys think it's hot when you don't.

  • Yeah, I guess the tequila face is a lot like yawning - one doesn't look terribly attractive whilst doing it.

  • lol. i think it's the cowgirl in me that can knock that out and not twitch that they think is hot. lol

  • I though that only dell did that, at 30% interest too.

The one that really gets me is when people buy a house, including appliances, and pay for the washer, dryer, fridge, stove, and dishwasher for the next 30 years. Yes people they are included in your mortgage. Not free, and they don't last 30 years.

  • wow. i never thought about that. i bought a house with appliances.

  • Don't feel bad. Most people do because all houses are shown with appliances. If its new construction you just tell them you don't want them and even if you must take out a short term loan to buy them it's cheaper in the long run. If it is an older home you simply tell the people you don't want the appliances and negotiate the price down accordingly.

This was a good topic. Thanks for uploading it.

  • yeah. i learned something. :-)

    thanks for bringing it up
