"All the time I'm getting shot. Oh barrels roll and hammers drop." A few years have passed since I last listened to this song. It is short, but powerful, and I think it really captures the listlessness and melancholy of youth very accurately and the risks therein. Those "shots" and their machinations--barrels and hammers--the veritable slings and arrows that assail a young person can cause some serious distress. This is a great song ,and possibly my favorite off of their album. RIP Organ.

@Yamaka1985 A Morrisey artista non darei del monotono se non altro perché non lo conosco nella sua completezza, al Morissey cantante degli album d'oro degli Smith non posso negare questo titolo. Però mi pare tu suggerisca che l'indie è figlio di tutti i generi che citi, quando a mio avviso ne coglie isolatamente delle ispirazioni qua e là.
@SunshineInWoods no guarda probabilmente l indie è tutta quella musica che veniva prodotta decine d anni fa...anche in italia..vedi Diaframma (i nostri joy division..) o i cccp...è tutto ciò che non dipende da discorsi di etichetta..però potremmo parlare per ore nn arrivando a conclusione...infatti i Marlene kuntz o Verdena sono dell Universal...l' indie lo percepisci quando lo ascolti o quando lo ascoltano persone col tuo animo musicale nn lo si etichetta
@Yamaka1985 secondo me classificare l'indie cosiccome il pop sulla base di una definizione commerciale e non musicale (essenzialmente la differenza starebbe nel far parte di grandi etichette o meno) risponde ad un luogo comune portato avanti dai musicisti stessi che vuole la musica come un prodotto estetico estraneo al mercato (Hesmondhalgh 2007). Ma non è così, i musicisti per essere conosciuti necessitano di essere prodotti. Per questo meglio basarsi sulla sola definizione musicale IMHO.
