I have the 32gb touchpad from the firesale and would have loved the touchpad go. Built in gps, smaller sreen size, and a replaceable battery is a huge improvement not to mention the weight savings aa holding the touchpad is very tiring over extended periods of time.

too bad there is such a small app support from developers. As the saying goes: early bird gets the worm. Hats off to apple for doing that first.

@SmoothslypTech You seem to have read things backwards, I'm not complaining about the tablet itself, rather I dislike how the company is being managed by clueless and incompetent CEOs. Again, I'll reiterate myself, both the 9.7-inch Touchpad and the 7-inch Touchpad Go were fine alternative choices if someone preferred to pick up something other than the iPad or an Android tablet. It's only sad that the Touchpad Go never saw the light of the day. And this is coming from a current Touchpad user.

Ain't it a damn shame that HP never gave webOS a chance? The Touchpad Go would've been a great product, a nice alternative for consumers against the wide range of mediocre 7-inch Android tablets. Shame on Mr. Apotheker for killing webOS without even thinking and destroying what could've been HP's chance for success in the mobile market. Also shame on Ms. Whitman for not trying to breathe back life into webOS, she's full of shit in my personal opinion.

Palm already had the HP Touchpad hardware and operating system already in production before the acquisition in 2009. So If HP was to purchase Apple today, you wouldn't buy Apple products anymore? Forgive me to be blunt I'm just trying to make my point.

Look when HP anounced open source they also said that they would be back in the tab biusness, I don't think they will design a new tab fro scratch go through the FCC and find support if they release this they have A LOT less steps to go through

WTF...no battery life estimate!!!! Considering that this device is essentially equivalent to the larger one, just with a smaller screen, it would be good to know at least if it uses the same battery or battery rating. With a screen reduction like that it could have added another 1-2 hrs to the about 4-5 hrs I get with the larger one. This increase in battery life is more than significant.

@PleiadianTrichome my laptop is going on around 7 years, bought it before vista even came out, though it is vista capable, i skipped vista entirely and went from xp to windows 7. its still running like a beast, so all those who say hp is crap, i have the evidence to say otherwise :)

To my own experience with HP they make good printers but computers and laptops has been the worst of the worst for me, I bought an HP Pavillion6000 and I had spent a lot of money doing repairs at the end is a piece of trash the gain, no gain from this laptop. "DO NOT BUY ANY OTHER HP PRODUCTS" you will remember all the bad reviews I had a very bad experience

web os could have been a success but app developer let it down and if you're a develoer you should know that web os is the only os which you can create and app for it and is also accepted by apple's app store and android market
