Like Eddie said if the guy pisses you off then you go for the defcon4. Garcia didnt piss him off or anything so just go for the weakest one. Still does the job.
@olsonc2002 I think it's from video game Left 4 Dead when a major event happens. Like scores of zombies come after you. Or was it when the big monster zombie comes out? I forget.
Why is there like this Internet following/worshiping of Eddie bravo? The guys cool and all and thinks outside the box when it comes to jiujitsu but he's not producing world champions or anything. Like people get mad if you don't do a technique eddies way.. What is that about?
@omerplater Eddie has a better way of doing certain things that, if you're a fan of the system, pisses you off when you see guys not even attempting it. For example, the armbar. Eddie's Spiderweb makes perfect sense logically and in practice. Yet still, time after time after time after time, I see high level BJJ black belts going for an armbar, the opponent rolls up to his feet, and the submission and position are both lost. Then they spend the rest of the round defending on their back.
@omerplater Did you see how many triangles Anthony Pettis threw at Clay Guida? But he never once controlled the posture, Clay saw it coming, he avoided them all easily.
Rubber guard is all about controlling posture. You break them down, lock in mission control, now they're instantly put on the defensive. You can punch and elbow the head, continue down the path, work for a submission or sweep, and their only choice is to try to slip out which gives you an opportunity to get back to your feet.
@omerplater Actually, he has recently had more and more people who study his style of JJ doing well in various combat sports. Also, he is more popular on the internet because he is very active on it himself.
pretty weak instructional compared to Eddies, in this he just says 'put his arm behind your head, reach round his neck, pull' as if the opponent will just let that happen, check out my version of his boxing instructional 'punch them in the head until they fall over' cool eh?
@sacriel42 He was probably asked by someone (maybe even the uploaders themselves) to demonstrate his twister, so he did, and it was filmed. Why would he give a detailed version, when people who really want to learn it can get it from the same source he did: Eddie Bravo?
@ric0rich He actually mentioned that too.He said that Eddie Brave said that more closer pull to the top of the head would deliver more pain to the opponent
7 seconds ko over Mark Hominick! I wish he can make a instructional for that knock out hahahah!!!

"Actually you want to pull at the top of the head, not the jaw line."
the translation was bad. he says "do not crank the neck. start at the jaw line, but it gets tighter as you go higher up the head"
