I don't believe that the motives was ever brought up in the news for her leaving. Shortly after the mother's death in Brazil, efforts should have been made by her family to return the child. If the situation was reversed and one of the parents fled with the child and came back to the U.S. The appeals and delay tactics certainly would not have lasted this long. The child would have been return to the surviving parent long before the time this one took.

@Joverrated In telephone conversations Brianna told David he was a 'great guy' and a 'good father' but that the love affair was 'over'. Educate yourself before you attempt to slander someone. She never once, even in Brazil when she was free to do so did she accuse Goldman of such a thing. She was clearly a rich, spoiled person used to getting her way-as evidenced by the outrageous behavior of her mother, husband and extended maternal family. @Joverrated First-I live in the States due to work but I'm not American. And I agree-we DON'T know these people. What I do know that there are recordings now in Brazilian court records with the late Bruna herself saying that David is a 'great guy', he never cheated on her, etc. the love was just gone. Look it up yourself-there are translated copies of the court documents all over but probably the most direct route is the 'bringseanhome' site. She left because she knew she'd lose Sean imo.

Let's not forget that his mother's family gave him a lot of love. This wasn't "stealing" this was a custody battle just like what occurs here in the USA. Chances are the boy will really miss his family in Brazil.

I hope the boy find's happiness with his dad especially now that his mother is dead. It's very sad situation for him and I hope that Goldman allows the boy to maintain contact with his mother's family.

I don't care how you gloss it over. This was a case of parental abduction, pure & simple. She knew she was going to do this and wanted to erase all mention of Goldman as the boy's biological father by removing his name from the birth certificate & replacing it with her new husband's name. Then they poisoned the boy against Goldman (who knows WHAT they told him?) I am glad Goldman got his son back! Now he needs to reconnect with his dad. I hope he has therapy lined up.
