  • Morality is how we want the world works. Demand and supply is how the world actually works.

  • NO JUSTICE ! NO PEACE !

  • Justice - is all subjective. The right thing to do is easy. Do things to others as U would like them to do onto us.

  • Professor Sandel gives the most amazing lectures ever!!!!!!

  • 'If peace & justice was ever to be attained an alternative to oligarchy (GOP) & democracy has to be found.'

is this true 7 if so what might that alternative be? Please explain your reasoning.

  • We will not find justice at the hands of corrupt judges. (See YouTube videos) Judicial Benefits & Court Corruption Update / Evil Triangle of Court Corruption / Richard fine / Dr Shirley Moore slush funds /SBX 211. To end this title wave of corruption in our country must start with the corrupt judges. We can not bring evidence of corruption to corrupt judges. Los Angeles Superior Court judges are illegally and unconstitutionally taking 50,000.00 each for a total of 23 million per year.

  • "What is the right thing to do?" deals with morality. Nearly all of these questions deal with -Morality- not justice.

A harvard professor who is regarded as having so much authority on the subject is debating something other than the topic he is claiming to.

The smartest thing in this video is the young man at the end talking about still debating the answers.

Btw, this is nothing new. Socrates was doing this a long time ago.

  • @madstork91 justice is rooted in morality.

if you watched his course, you would understand how the two relate to eachother.

  • Imagine if we were a nation of critical thinkers...this nation and the world would be a better place.

  • @BlakeBarbieDoll

Someday there might be a well established global judicial system. However, that day will not come for some time. Quite possibly not even a thousand years.

  • The speaker is a bit of a humorous character, I think. He reminds me very much of a character from "Better Off Ted", both in regard to his appearance and to his voice.

  • you should be an stand up comedian instead.

and the reason that we are still debating similar questions is because we produce retards at a higher rate than we do produce smart people.

Just look at Jorge W. Bush, he is a retard, and he was president, not once, but twice!

  • "Jorge W. Bush" ...really? and you go on calling him a retard...?

  • It is a profound topic. I never read about philosophers in my youth since i was not exposed to that environment in youth. i had my own idea about right and wrong and my late parents taught me by actions and i can relate from my experience from age of 7 which i have contributed tomral actions, right and wrong on several occations in my life and this topic is nothing less significant than a child looking up the sky at night and wonder whats' up there and how the univerise was created.

  • I was not looking at the right place. They don't have the direct link on their YT account. Go to justiceharvard (dot) com. Well, of course, you already knew that, but in case someone else is interested.

I only watched the first lesson and it was along the lines of the humanist's presentation I told you about. Very interesting discussion happening. Thanks again!

  • The videos are all that is available. What I am seeing is that you have to be a current or previous Harvard student to access the study materials. Am I looking at the right place on the Harvard website?

  • Wow, this sounds very interesting. I'm going to check it out and maybe mirror the video and description box. Thanks, LoR!
