@CincinnatiZooTube - I am glad to hear the contact is at a minimum now. I also work with these penguins in Australia on a Rescue to Release programme. I feel this video is giving completely the wrong impression. As you know, the penguin was not giggling at being tickled. I feel a comment should be made to explain to the public who know no different, that they are not pets. Perhaps then we will not have people breaking into our sanctuary to steal already sick and injured penguins.

@litllost Just to clarify your comment, this little penguin would not exist if we didn't remove the egg and hand incubate it. The parents were not caring for the egg in the exhibit and we only do this when the parents are not doing their job. This penguin is now back in with the other little penguins and is having minimal contact with humans.

I've had enough garbage from people saying that we can't play with certain animals, and I agree with them to a point. @hakodesu Probably because they're in a zoo. The penguins don't hunt their own food, it's given to them. So they feed the babies specifically so they're healthy.
