  • When I was a kid (7 or 8) this was one of those movies that once it was over I would rewind it and start it again lol

    Thanks for uploading =-)

  • Wow i haven't seeing this movie since i was a kid

i only remember parts of it & thanks for posting!!

  • In ancient China, comets were always seen as omens of disaster.

  • The fact that a college would invite a paper to be written by a student about a movie as part of its curricula shows just what a waste of $35,000-$80,000 tuiton per year most colleges and universities are. And how gullible people to enroll in them. Try a 2-year college first, don't major in gender studies or jigsaw puzzles or comic books or diversity, get a real education to get a real job. Most universities are just cesspools of leftwing indoctrination anyway.

  • @RoboSlater Yeah and they can't provide them with even a VHS copy of the movie. Instead the student has to watch it on youtube.

  • I remember seeing this movie on TV a long time ago. I thought it was fun!

    Thanks for posting!

  • I LOVE THIS MOVIE SINCE I SAW IT WHEN I WAS A KID BACK IN THE 80'S

  • Great movie.

  • 80's...... I LOVE YOU.

  • @somebodysentme agreed

  • OMG! I SO love this POS. Can't help it. Thanks for posting.

  • Janice Kawaye (who did Sarah, the young rescued girl in the movie) later went to voice acting. And also voices a certain famous character. Can one of you guess who it is?

  • Isn't that game she's playing, the same one from the scary movie where the video game characters (one of them being a giant head) break out of the machine and trap the guy who got to the last level? Nightmares I think it was called?

  • I know of Catherine Mary Stewart from The Last Starfighter which I loved to watch in the late 80's, but for some reason I never knew of this movie till last year - and still I have not watched it. I'm gonna now and hook up the laptop to the projector and watch this like at the cinema.

  • That first scene with Catherine Mary Stewart (who I love still!) so reminds me of my local grocery store when I was a kid--it had Tempest and I would hang out playing at that old stand up machine while my mom went shopping. This was such a fun movie and I'm looking forward to watching it all the way through again! My dad's VHS copy finally wore out many years ago. Thanks for the upload, haven't seen this in years!

  • @somebodysentme yes u right but this movie is based on DAWN OF THE DEAD ( 1973 ) + THE OMEGA MAN ( 1973 )

  • Not terrible, but certainly "done on the cheap." The Nordstrom scene set to "Girls Just Wanna Have Fun" was a bad idea. This, for those too young to remember, was the type of flick to pop-up on USA's Up All Night with Rhonda Shear or Gilbert Gottfried in the late 80s-early 90s.

  • Starting July 1 2011 this will be on Netflix Instant stream. Everybody who has it, stream it to pop it up on Netflix's radar so they know to get more great retro 80s movies online (as well as cartoons). Lot of good 80s cartoons on Netflix instatnt stream now. Great for your youngins to stream for.

  • Question is, Would she be worth more than $15.00?

  • A killer comet, Catherine Mary Stewart, and Tempest...can't get better than that!!

  • This is an 80's pop-corn coated classic! Also check out Prom Night 2 Hello Mary Lou, a kind of Carrie late 80's Prom Queen revenge flick...outrageously cheesy.

The original Stepfather is fun, and the best WORST 80's film goes to BODY ROCK!!! This has to be seen to be believed. I purchased about 10 copies (they were going for $2.oo each): perfect Christmas/Birthday presents for friends and family! Be warned: they may never speak to you again. Thanks for uploading this! I'm in heaven.

  • is this movie a scram because if it isnt ill just die

  • my birth year :)

  • Oh my gosh, I saw this movie on TV a few years back and I just loved it!! Ahhh, brings back memories.

  • The only cool shit is Asteroids

  • Phumbs up if you think this is based on the myth of planet x

  • This Movie is a classic of the 80's anytime it's on tv which is rare I watch I Love it would love to have the dvd Catherine Mary Stewart was the it girl then and she really has aged quite well she looks the same seen her in two movies within past year

  • CATHERINE MARY STEWART IS SOOOO HOT! I HOPE SHE'S STILL ACTING.

  • These days If your boss asks for you to do somthing and you are not on it right away they FIRE YO ASS... FUCKING TEMP AGENCIES. NAZI INSTITUTIONS

  • An 80s milestone, for sure.

  • This is one of my favorite movies..I love the 80s. this was made in 84 the year I was born. I first saw this movie at 13yrs old recorded it on my v c r and would watch it over and over.

  • a great film of the 1980s. i watched this film 17 years ago on tv and have been wanting to watch it again. good to see it here on youtube.

  • one of the greatest 80s movies

  • Beltran became famous years later in Star Trek Voyager

  • Wow...superb...this is a cult film...thanks...the 80's rocked!!!

  • this was one of my favorites i watched it so much that knew every line from every character in the movie....

  • I remember watching this when I was a kid back in 91. I have been searching for it a long time. Thanks!

  • I swear movies from the 80s are the best!

  • i loved this movie as a kid but couldnt figure out the name for like 15yrs lol but great movie thnx for posting it

  • Ya know its funny....in this movie shes obsessed with being the best in a video game...and in her next movie her boyfriend was too....The Last Starfighter!

  • Just watched the whole movie! Going to write a paper on it for my college class, thanks so much!

  • @mintychutney Good luck with that.

  • @mintychutney I'd base my entire paper just on Catherine Mary Stewart!

  • @mintychutney the book captures a more in depth character study. regina doesn't just play a video game, she escapes into an alternate reality, which just conditions her to immediately accept the fate of the world upon her realizing the "real" reality. it is all in the book. i hope they don't quiz you on this as such nuances are missed in the movie, overshadowed by the pop culture that made this country great: sex, drugs, violence, and rock-n-roll.

  • thanks so much i have been looking for this everywhere

  • @pyrogyra72 That WAS the decade, wasn't it? Before all the crap; the Internet (what it's become) terrorists lurking behind every bush and corner; AIDS, global warming (at least it was only a RUMOUR then...haha).....*sigh* it was such an sexy but innocent time.....I miss it too!

  • oh my goodness....i could handle werewolves and vampires......but when it comes zombies or these little creepies uuuuuggggg nooooo so if the zombie apocalypse or the slug....worm...creepies apocalypse ever happens.....please dont rely on me for help....i mean come on a werewolf bites you become strong and powerful and its the same with vamps....but either way with zombies or these creepies your screwed.....but this movie is worth it completely.....screaming like banshee aggggggglggggggg

  • @fjbutch Your in for a treat.

  • @80sfist @fjbutch, YOU'RE (you are)

  • @fjbutch shame on you, that you haven't heard of Night of the Comet.

I seem to recall another comet flick that had space vampires. LifeForce. Everyone that comes into contact with comets ether turns into comet zombies or lifeforce sucking vampires that suck the life energy out of you.

  • @EmpireLS56KW I know, don't how I miss this one, as I am a Sci Fi addict from way back...Earth vs the flying saucers etc...

  • @fjbutch From time to time, they fly under the radar screen. LOL

When I see stuff like this, I so wish my dead brother back goddamn... That shit so made our days...

    NIGHT OF THE CREEPS anyone?

  • Best 80s b movie hands down better than critters or chuds

  • Everywhere they go there´s terrible mediocre no-profile 80´s music :(

  • dude......totaly bitchin knarly movie man......lol...now that I got that out of my system....this was a great movie in the 80s, movies that were made then could be just what they were meant to be nothing more than entertainment....not something to be analyzed for a deeper meaning, I mean realy.....the smartest people on the planet leaves an air vent open and fans running..lol..realy?...come on, its campy spooky some, and a tribute to 80s culture

  • why split it up in 6 minute parts? :S

  • @Baleur Why not?

  • @80sfist idk, 10 minute parts would cut down on the time you gotta click a new link. Haha! nm, thanks for the upload :)

  • @80sfist its because u can upload video for 10.45min . well anyways thanks for uploading this. cheers!

  • @80sfist

  • @KyleGibbons91 Yep, I agree ! 100%,....She was bad to the bone, back then BUT they don't make them anymore.

now they have tats, and holes in strange places, and no big hair, ohh yeah have been Oprahized.

See mischief or my favorite last starfighter she sparkles in those too.

  • @miacvpi Right on. Love both the girls in the movie. There certainly aren't any like these two today. Amen to rest of your comments. I miss that big 80s hair too

  • Thanks for uploading!!! I remember this movie as a kid and I love it!!!

  • Now this movie deserves to be remade!

  • @dwo2A790 After watching the 2 hour special and the one hour series of " Life After People ", a remake will surely have a much different outcome in the script. For one thing , the power won't be staying on for very long like it did in this movie. Then there's all that other mess with the chemicals , sewer , and other stuff that went on with " Life After People." The special effects in a remake would be killer for sure. The end would be a reminder of those Mad Max movies.

  • @apossumsbestfriend this would be true....IF these few people were the last, but there were many many (Eric lassard voice) more people that did survive so......and "life with out people" was going on the assumption of a zero population.......but you do give a good comment on the reality of the issue...

  • what if something like that happened

  • @johnnyowens31 well i guess us survivors would have a great timehitting them with cars bats golfclubs hunting them zombie killing festivals

  • Damn this movie is my shit ,is and always going to be my favorite kick ass film 4ever lol yeah ....Night of the Comet ....:)

  • i love this movie! i can remember watching this when i was little me and my sister. damm she is going to trip out when i tell her about this this movie it was the shit!

  • one of my favorite, thanks!

  • Ahh. The 80s!

  • i agree... this is a great movie..I wish someone would put up def con 4

  • I remember seeing this on HBO back in 84. What a great flick!

  • cheers!

  • the singer in the opening song sounds like hector

  • I love this movie

  • yesssssssss!!

  • I think I watched this movie everyday for three months when I was a kid.

  • dumbass scientists with all their knowledge of what was going to take place and they left the people to burn and left the fans on in their base so they destroyed themselves

  • a great 80's classic, the decade that had the best music and movies

  • When you think about it, classic movie franchises like Alien (okay that was in 1979, but just one year ;) ), Terminator, Robocop, Predator were first made in the Eighties while the classic Star Wars trilogy was continued in it.

And look at it now, all these classic franchises have been ruined by hacks who made needless sequels/prequels to it, instead of trying to continue to make new franchise movies.

  • What is the main problem the Terminator had? with all the power machine conjured i.e time travel and badass guns they were fooled by a puny woman. if the terminator done a good job in the first place then no need for pointless shit films

    "Sarah Conner"

    "yes"

    BANG

    good job the end

  • Heh lets not change the subject from 'great 80's media to the Terminator franchise' ;P

What I meant to say was, instead of making new movie franchises in the 80's that people still fondly remember today, mainstream or cult, people keep resurrecting old franchises by either bad sequels/prequels or remakes.

As someone else said in another one of the movies' threads, they would probably put in ridiculous amount of today's hypes, like rap music and Idols.
