  • Great song,and movie too

  • back whn the red hots jammed it out.

  • @cmonty72 i know... i saw em right at the end of this funky phase- BSSM tour 1992. after that they lost it. all the kids listening to em now, probably only reckon they've made 3 albums!!! they came to town a month ago, and i'm glad i gave it a miss... wouldnt have known any songs!

  • it's hard to believe this band became the bucket of diarrhea that RHCP is today

  • @baldassaredegenes its been more than 20 years since this, do you really expect them to keep playing that style now that theyre all coming up on 50? most peoples music interests change over time...

  • This got me into and very repidly out of the RHCP, years later I had to put up with the "under the bridge" crowd, same shit with Nirvana a few years later

  • @lynus111 get a life mr elitist.

  • @kirwansi Got a life thanks.

  • Thrash is like DRI or Municipal Waste. This is more funk rock. IMO.

  • When I was a kid I always watched this movie. I was 7 when it came out.

    80's skating was the shit.

  • WHEN MUSIC WAS MUSIC

  • If I would have one magical wish to pick one scene from any movie ever made and to be able to get inside, for sure it would be this scene. I know that other people have diferent taste, but for me this is the best there is. I really love original RHCP and especially this song. Hilel, we miss u!

  • RHCP became a lame band the minute they stopped using drugs!

  • @Staminist2010 you're a jackass

  • @Staminist2010 No they became better if u really got into them...

  • @Staminist2010 Anthony is still on drugs, read his autobio.

  • @THEBIGBANGTHEORYrock Well, then he started using shity drugs xD Look at Lemmy dude! Speed all the way (music and drug wise) \m/

  • the worst part about thrashin' . how do you have a movie with skateboarding and punks and have fucking RHCP play a punk show. WTF!

  • During the whole 90's and 00's I was convinced I saw the name Red Hot Chili Peppers somewhere in an obscure 80's teenager skate movie before the huge Under The Bridge hit. I couldn't remember the name of that movie and wasn't realy sur it wasn't all in my mind...

Now I know, all that time I was right.

  • Slovak looks like Frusciante Long nassal passage and thick lips

  • I can remember listening to a RHCP song (don't remember which one) on the radio back in '83, or '84, and the DJ remarked how they were a "flash in the pan", and wouldn't last. I disagreed.

  • how come there were no Daggers at this show.???

  • @roachbomb

there was one, tracy's (or whatever her name was- the love interest) older brother

at the very beginning of the clip

  • blackeyed blond

  • Hillel! he rocks

  • what song is this?

  • Who's on drums, Jack Irons or Cliff Martinez?

  • that's cliff martinez, irons came in the mofo uplift party plan album (1987)

  • Thanks. Hillel is on guitar though, right?

  • np mate.yes that's hillel on guitar

  • @dharmaseed Cliff

  • 0:25 hillel is doing a cross on his body?

isnt he jewish? he had a bar mitzvah and was born in israel... weird...

  • i wish i was old enough during those days and get to party like that while watching the peppers jam out!

  • I actually saw them live around this time in SF, and they were hot shit. Flea got me playing the bass. The drummer of this period and Hillel Slovak made this band much better than they ever were since.

They were the template of the punk-funk band, and then they opened up the garbage can and ballads and shit flew out.

RIP Hillel. His loss was the end of this band's creative spirit. They were a real alternative band, when alt meant not Michael Jackson and Madonna. Legends? nope, sorry.

  • hey jlamour,

    fuck you

  • Back when RHCP were decent...

  • I was shocked when I saw the chilli peppers, I was like that was them, my teacher was like yeah. Amazing band w/ a great positive vibe

  • yeah this movie still kicks ass

  • yeeeeeeeeeaaaaa boiiiiii

    love this film so much!!!

  • Who would've guessed then that this thrash band would go on to become alternative rock legends?

  • I know, dickhead! But they have a mix of Thrash as well as Punk, Funk, Metal, and Rap in their sound. Jeez!

  • man they totally dont have trash and metal in the sound.. there straight up rap rocking funk

  • bozo...hahaha, great movie

  • sorry cageboyes meant to give thumbs up, whoops!!!

  • que gran pelicula!!!

  • flea has a 51 p-bass

  • When I was 7 and 8 years old, I came home and watched this movie ever day. At the time I didnt know who this band, but it was one of my favorite scenes.

  • exactly the same here... i reckon every day would have been about right, i lived by the film!

  • woooo fuckin woooo love it!

  • Jack Irons rules ! This movie rules too great scene.

  • It's not Jack irons yet, he's Cliff Martinez from the Freaky Styley era.

  • @slambucman nope jack was back on the freaky styley album

  • awesome, i just realized the main dude in this movie is in the goonies!and no country for old men
