You can keep the radish quite long time.. I just put that in a bag (zipper bag or plastic bag) and keep it in the refrigerator. Don't wash.. don't peel.. just the way you bought in a store.. thanks
It's a kind of soy sauce. Since Korean cuisine has many different kinds of soup dishes.. it is useful to have soup soy sauce.. Korean grocery store sells it. If you don't have.. you can just use normal soy sauce instead of soup soy sauce too.
Actually, I didn't learn how to cook from special places...hehe I just liked cooking..and since I got married, I try different food for my husband. I'm still learning with experience. Thanks !!!
Since I can't read Korean I sometimes am not completely sure if I'm buying exactly what I want at my local Korean grocery store. I purchased some hot pepper paste which does not seem very spicy. What "words" am I looking for if I want to make sure the one I'm buying is the spiciest version of hot pepper paste and hot pepper powder?
Since you can't read Korean and I don't know the korean store has stuffs that are written in both English and Korean, I can't tell exact answer for you. How about asking the owner of the store to give you the spiciest version of hot pepper paste ?? just for in case... I will tell the Korean sentence in English .. you can show this to the owner.
" MaeWoon GoChuJang" this means.. " spicy red pepper paste"
haha... I got it.. hm.. if this recipe is also not that spicy to you.. what I can tell you is... add spicy hot pepper (green or red..whatever..).. chop and add to your stew.. it will make it spicy. :) thanks !!!
Oh... I can understand your family and friends.. but its' delicious .... hehe.. when you have chance to be alone.. make it and finish before they come back.. lol thanks !!!
yummy,.. i think it is much better if using fresh mackerel, much healthier... thank you again for the effort, sharing korean recipe to us. LordJESUS protection, favor, be with you and your Baby.
hi aeri unnie!! we miss you! :D thanks for this. i'll be making it once i saw mackerel in the supermarket. i find it hard to go the grocery nowadays because of work! :D
unni, can i request for a video on making red bean paste? the sweet one... i really can't make mine perfect. it's always a bit grainy or something. :(
In Korean cooking... we use both normal soy sauce and soup soy sauce. I explained a little about it on my blog..I will send you a link.. thanks !!! :)
the more i watch about korean food, i realize korean and vietnamese share a lot in common. Anchovies. for daily home cook meals. How did korean get intro into anchovies? Vietnamese has neighbors like thais that use anchovies heavily, we're next to China we also use Soy Sauce is used but it don't represent the vietnamese taste, unlike japanese they use soy sauce heavily.
actually.. I don't know where Korean got the anchovy for food from... since we have 3 sides of sea for our land.. it must be very easy to get anchovies from the sea ... anyway.. ^^ thanks for comment !!!
This looks amazing!! I am determined to try it, I only found your videos today but this and your hoddeok recipe are at the top of my list of things to try to cook. Can I make a request?
