  • Yummy! I remember eating this soup in Korea, it was so delicious!!!

  • forget the anchovies...just dump the whole makerel can in...

  • may i know how do you store the unused radish?

  • @tigerbalm68

You can keep the radish quite long time.. I just put that in a bag (zipper bag or plastic bag) and keep it in the refrigerator. Don't wash.. don't peel.. just the way you bought in a store.. thanks

  • My Korean is terrible and I can't read Hangul very well. Can you post the Hangul for "Dried Anchovy Pack" so I can copy it and show it to my grocer?

  • @muybridge54

    마른 멸치 팩 ^^

  • @aeriskitchen Chang!!!

  • where could i find the mackerel in can? i checked 3 different places in this town and still no luck :/

  • @GinasDiary

wall mart or other normal American grocery stores sell.. thanks

  • MMMMM- Delicious!

  • What is soup soy sauce? I've never heard of that!

  • @XxLilly306xX

It's a kind of soy sauce. Since Korean cuisine has many different kinds of soup dishes.. it is useful to have soup soy sauce.. Korean grocery store sells it. If you don't have.. you can just use normal soy sauce instead of soup soy sauce too.

  • Nooooooooooo I like the fish bones, they are very soft and tasty

  • My mother made these type of stew when she was alive. I don't know what type of fish she uses. It tastes really good. Thanks for the recipe.

    I love asian kitchen:)

  • Very informative...Thanks!

  • 처음 무하고 같이 넣은 팩이 뭐지요?

  • hi hamsungsu,

  • WOW!!!!!!!!! I'm hunry now.

  • it's a really strong tasting fish, but the radish makes it sweeter. =)

  • yumm looks good!

where did you learn how to cook?

  • Hi cobugi,

Actually, I didn't learn how to cook from special places...hehe I just liked cooking..and since I got married, I try different food for my husband. I'm still learning with experience. Thanks !!!

  • This looks really good, but can you use potatoe instead of radish?

  • hi Phaythful,

Yes, you can use potato..it taste good for this stew. I should mention that on my video. :) Thanks !!!

  • please show me how to say or write "soup soy sauce in Korean."

  • hi jtranptld,

soup soy sauce is 국간장 (=GukGangJang) in Korean. I will send you a link for it from my blog. thanks :)

  • yummy!

  • hi, batmanyey

hehe.. yes.. yummy !!! thanks :)

  • Since I can't read Korean I sometimes am not completely sure if I'm buying exactly what I want at my local Korean grocery store. I purchased some hot pepper paste which does not seem very spicy. What "words" am I looking for if I want to make sure the one I'm buying is the spiciest version of hot pepper paste and hot pepper powder?

  • hi, maraskywalkeriii

Since you can't read Korean and I don't know the korean store has stuffs that are written in both English and Korean, I can't tell exact answer for you. How about asking the owner of the store to give you the spiciest version of hot pepper paste ?? just for in case... I will tell the Korean sentence in English .. you can show this to the owner.

" MaeWoon GoChuJang" this means.. " spicy red pepper paste"

  • mackerel is the best! jjang!

  • Hi, theman0818

haha... I got it.. hm.. if this recipe is also not that spicy to you.. what I can tell you is... add spicy hot pepper (green or red..whatever..).. chop and add to your stew.. it will make it spicy. :) thanks !!!

  • thats not spicy

Only thing you need now is a friend who is good with camera works (aka hold the camera for you while you cook)

  • the more i watch about korean food, i realize korean and vietnamese share a lot in common. Anchovies. for daily home cook meals. How did korean get intro into anchovies? Vietnamese has neighbors like thais that use anchovies heavily, we're next to China we also use Soy Sauce is used but it don't represent the vietnamese taste, unlike japanese they use soy sauce heavily.

  • Hi, tube02148

actually.. I don't know where Korean got the anchovy for food from... since we have 3 sides of sea for our land.. it must be very easy to get anchovies from the sea ... anyway.. ^^ thanks for comment !!!
