@79beckysue i agree~ 2112 was great but all after sucked~ yup thats right folks: Rush suuuucks lol! Aerosmith always was and will be my #1 rock band. Anyway, i know you only used Rush as an example but i can't stand anything they put out past 2112 so bad that it even ruined 2112 for me LOL but i listened to Overture the other day ~still sounds pretty good. i met Aerosmith about 1979 in Wichita Kansas and got to spend 4-5 hours with them and Steven~so gentlemanly~what a rush ;)

I love this Song ....It reminds me of a Special time and place in my Life. God sent me a Angel in January of 2010. I was a very FOOLISH MAN. I was one with her for a period of time and could have been with her for LIFE. I miss her very much. We shared something very special and i failed to treat her like the Angel she was. I hope she knows my Heart still belongs to her. We made love to this Song Every Nite while going to bed. I will forever regret the pain i caused you. Thx for loving me Anne.T
this song makes me feel strange and beautiful at the same time, all a catharsis of emotions and feelings, as if something broke in my ... long live 70s aerosmith :)
@atomicpunk48 Ha, I can totally relate to that. I started listening to Yes when I was in third grade and do to this day,and if I try to even think about what Jon is talking about.......migrane....

ZoSoStillAlive, How many people have a clue what your screen name refers to? I have a 1995 Z28 Camaro that has a license plate "ZOSO." Not many under 30 know what it stands for, and quite a few over 30 still don't get it!
This is INCORRECT: blues hearted lady, sleepy was she love for the devil brought her to me tears of a thousand drawn to her sin seasons of wither holdin' me in The CORRECT lyrics are: LOOSE hearted lady, sleepy was she love for the devil brought her to me SEEDS of a thousand drawn to her sin seasons of wither holdin' me in. Want proof? Look in Steven Tyler's new book. He has lyrics in it all over the place. Get it right.
Seasons of the Wither has been my all time favorite Aerosmith song since I became a fan in 1975. This is the best song they ever did. I love Steven Tyler. Rock on!! I saw them in Cleveland and I will never forget how Dream On bought the house down!! Best Concert EVER!!!
yeah, to me this song defines Aerosmith just as Purple Haze defined Hendrix......this has to be the best thing they ever did. The song is pure in form, with no attempt to clutter it with needless complexities. Fortunately, It was created before computers homogonized the sound of rock music. I loved seeing this on the Just Push Play tour. All the kids were like SILENT. They were amazed. Us old folk were all excited. It was so pretty. One of their best songs. And the best story behind getting written. Awesome.
btw, the song is about wanting the woman/drugs/fame/whatever only to find it is harder to come by than just talking the talk, you have to walk the walk first, in my opion that is. Clasic
hehehe yep, Aerosmith at their finnest hour. The bullshit after the eightys, only maybe one or two songs worthy. This and all the songs on Get Your Wings Greatness. Early days filled with imagination and free-ness lol later days, what everyone else wanted pop/shit. Just glad atleast they made it out of it all, so few left to say they worked at it to get music, not greed...
I've looked for this song for years with no clue what the name was, just that I listened to it in the 70s(probably the problem huh) and only found it because I'm reading Tylers book. I'd forgotten what Aerosmith sounded like before "Armageddon" and MTV .......Real. Fucking. Rock.....My wife likes Aerosmith and always wondered why I didn't....it's because it's THIS is not the Aerosmith the radio and TV play....deep tracks prior to Done With Mirrors, that's my kinda stuff
I'll never forget when the album get your wings came out. I had a nice car equipped with an 8 track player great Jenson speakers. We would all be smoking in the car and in the middle of this song it would get softer in volume and then click and change the track like 8 Tracks would do. I've seen Aerosmith in concert so many times at a place called the Aragon Ballroom in Chicago. Sometimes Steven Tyler would be so f**ked up he couldn't sing a note. Other times they pulled off a great concert.
Aero$mith was my 1st concert back in '74 w/Bad Company...i've seen them 21 times since..and "NO BAND" (then or now) even comes close. Aero$mith Rocks the Nation.
i have been humming this tune in my head for the past month or so and couldnt figure out which song this is then all of a sudden it just came to me ...... and now i cant get enough love the whole down beat and classic steven tyler groove im hooked
@tsb0612 According to Tyler, the song was inspired by the Massachusetts landscape in wintertime. It just contains some visual images and some imaginary ones probabily. I don't think it's about a specific thing. Anyways, Steven says it's one of the band's greatest records and is one of his all time favourite songs, and I share the same opinion with him. :)
Man, I love this song its so much different from Aerosmith's usual stuff. Thinking about covering it with my band and making it kinda metal sounding but still soft. Why the hell was this not on Guitar Hero Aerosmith?????? Great song.
Undoubtably one od f the best and you got it UNCLE SALTY!!!! By the way seasons of wither is Stevens favorite song!!!!!! He said that a month ago and Led Zepplins BLACK DOG!!
You are full of shit. All these stories are all pure BS. Why make crap up over a song that is so mysterious and pretty? Same reason people send bogus chain letters and crap I guess,
@dustybrand thanks been doing some research on joan and she toured with aerosmith a couple times im sure theyre friendly ive got to see her if she comes around philly area this year
This song is really good but if could have been ever better. There is so much wasted potential. The acoustic guitar and Steven Tyler's vocals are perfect. But the problem comes from the guitar solo or lack thereof. This COULD have been one of the greatest ballads OF ALL TIME if it just had a solo that lasted longer than 6 seconds!
@85ihateposeurs uhm..... this IS one the best ballads of all time!!!!!! wasted potential???? what the hell are you talking about???despite what youve been taught at the hair metal academy, you dont have to have a guitar solo to have a great tune!!!! 99.9% of people i know who know and love this song have never said, YA KNOW I LIKE THIS SONG, BUT IT COULDA USED A LONGER GUITAR SOLO!!! YOUR RETARDED!!! go listen to steve vai or somethng if you want a never ending guitar solo!!!
when i hear this i think of in the old days, full moon, fog, seeing the full moon set on a pond with wolves houling in the backround.... it is a surpise that im 13? nahh :D

i love this song, but can anyone tell me wat its about?
tsb0612 11 months ago

@lob287 you'll have to mp3ify it on the internet or buy it off amazon (i think you can get it there). none of aerosmith's older albums are on itunes.

85ihateposeurs 1 year ago
@85ihateposeurs uhm..... this IS one the best ballads of all time!!!!!! wasted potential???? what the hell are you talking about???despite what youve been taught at the hair metal academy, you dont have to have a guitar solo to have a great tune!!!! 99.9% of people i know who know and love this song have never said, YA KNOW I LIKE THIS SONG, BUT IT COULDA USED A LONGER GUITAR SOLO!!! YOUR RETARDED!!! go listen to steve vai or somethng if you want a never ending guitar solo!!!
ozzyhead73 1 year ago
@ozzyhead73 Behind every great song is an amazing guitar solo. That's my opinion and I'm sticking to it.
