Potatoes are terrible for them. Feed them greens, (like lettuce or spinach). If you see him, try to catch him. He won't attack you. That Buff Orpington is probably someone's poultry that ran away, so I would catch him and talk to animal control.

The are not pigs. Anything moldy will sicken them, plastic will rip their guts up, foreign items will poison them, too much grass will impact their crop.
