I just went to solar-stove net and the Home page has no active links and the Products tab takes you to a page in what appears to be latin-based language. Again, no way to PURCHASE anything.. If you have a way to contact him, you might tell him about it.
I have owned a SOS Sport Solar oven for years and used it many many times. Here are some tips to improve it: Paint the interior flat black with hi-temp paint (and paint your pots & lids hi-temp flat black also) to increase light/heat absorption (raises the temp & reduces cooking time). Do not use the reflectors during summer, you won't need them. Consider drilling a small hole on the bottom tip for moisture drainage. Add a Stovetec and a thermal cooker pot for day/night use. I hope this helps.
They are called Thermal Cookers (super insulated pot cooking systems). I have a cheap one I got off Ebay which works really well. I painted the exterior of the pot hi-temp flat black. It fits nicely atop my Stovetec. I heat it to boiling for a few minutes, place it into its insulator and Vola! Hot food or water or whatever for several hours. Nice to have hot stew or hot water without firing up the Stovetec in the middle of the night.
DANG! gettinready`101 is jealous! He is wondering if you'll trade it for a 1 year old gettinready101 country ham? It's salt cured, hand rubbed, hung with love, last 1 of 23, comes with it's own salt, ready to go! Actually it's the front shoulder which makes it a picnic ham. And salt cured hams are not for everyone but i'll throw in some Sweet tea to sweeten the pot! Don't ever tell the wife I traded or I'll be salted and hung myself!
you can make an oven for almost free. i have an example i built on my channel and their are lots of better ones here on youtube...ive baked cakes, cooked meat, vegies...ect....and it is an excellent choice to cook in in the summer months rather than heating the house up cooking and running the air to fight the stove. ...Thanks for your service to our country sir.
I received my SOS on Monday, made Beef Stew on Tuesday and it turned out delish! Today we are trying meat loaf and roasted potatoes. Looking forward to seeing what you do with yours!
We put our pots in and wedged the back end up to adjust for winter sun. Fun Stuff!
I guess I'm just a cheap S.O.B. I'm making one. (And yes it will probably cost more to make than buying one) But I'll be incorporating my 46" magnifying glass to speed the heating process up. I wonder if I need to learn patience?

God Bless ya for keeping me reminded I need to buy one of these (or a few) for our family. We've been saving up for our bigger preps lately.
