  • Nice idea! Could use a 3 position toggle switch to allow 2 internal memory cards per port and allow the external to be used. Just Pin 1? So simple! Instead of drilling holes into an original PS2 why not just rewire a Multitap? I only have 2 of them myself! Gonna try this ASAP! Certainly stops the annoying unplugging of connections to the system when you want to switch controllers. DualAnalog/Wireless/Mic/Guitar/Dancemat no problem!

  • @UnrealVideoDuke Thanks, just did what I could with what I had

  • You had transformed your PS2 into a old Atari with this switches, this is all that we can in fact see at this movie!

  • @EduardoCapatto A video of how it works is to come, however... It shows alot more than that if you understand basic electronics.

  • haha nice choice is music. rally vrought the vid out

  • I wish my PS2 was that clean

  • hehe. 1:01 boob upside down

  • What is the memory card diagram. I want to add a USB wire to it and I can't figure out which copper prong is for each wire other than the farthest one to the side with two copper prongs, which is the ground I would assume.

  • @Yngdady308 I just need to figure out where the +5 (Red Wire), Data - (White Wire), and Data + (Green Wire) is located on the memory card, I'm not sure if I'm correct on the black wire.

  • scary music....D:

  • what? no review of showing that it works?

  • @JetStorm17277 I didn't have a video camera back then.. I'll have to go dig it up

  • @pspheaven Nice choice of music btw! Also, you dig up that camera yet? :) I'd like to see that video of it working :D I just subbed you! Don't be dissapointin meh

  • @JetStorm17277 I actually just gotta new tv so I could do that sometime.. But after my gums heal.. I just had a tooth pulled and cant talk well

  • @pspheaven Ah ok, cool! Looking forward to it! Get better! :D

  • u cud of done this as a proper tutorial not just pictures

  • @k1ll3rDP We'll excuse me, I didn't have a camera back then... Besides any idiot can do it.

  • sorry f i hurt ur feelings but i am still going to try it out

  • @k1ll3rDP eh, its cool man, seriously tho give it a shot, the fun is learning in the process

  • Thumbs up if you muted this.

  • @The360Central Or the front...

  • You know we hate 009 sound system right?!

  • @EpicMan83 Who said we hate that?

  • @cutemimi25 You obviously haven't heard it a million times.

  • @EpicMan83 Nope.

  • @EpicMan83 Not exactly but when does it exactly start to get on your nervs.

  • @EpicMan83 They changed the song now.

  • @Rikarocks2001 Dude, even I hate the song, idk why the fuck I chose it in the first place.. I just had to change it because of the stupid copyright laws.

  • @pspheaven Do I look stupid?

I know why people change the songs in the videos are because due to the copyright laws.

    I've seen it before.

  • @Rikarocks2001 I never said you looked stupid, I was agreeing with you, don't run your mouth

  • @pspheaven Whoa sorry.

  • @Rikarocks2001 I agree with @pspheaven. Don't run your mouth at me.

  • @pspheaven That I understand like what happened to some guys N64 dissasembly video he changed the song Knee Deep from CKY to some other song which is lame.

  • How Much Did It All Cost?

  • @bigmamafan I dont recal most all parts I already had

  • omgggggggggggggggggggggggggggggggggggggggggggggggg

    THIS MUSIC OMGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGG

  • I seriously don't understand why people hate this song.. I mean it's good song, extremely popular and played an awe full a lot of times. But still it's a good song..

  • what would i study if i wanted to do stuff like this for a living?

  • thx

  • thumbs up if u muted when u heard this song

  • what does all of that do?

  • @jakesta247 we'll did you read the first slide?

The only thing i didn't explain was fmcb its a soft modded memory card that I hard modded/soldered into the ps2 (back up games, home made games, etc)

  • @pspheaven so its like a ps3

  • you should of put rocker switches to make them look better and more like a finished product

  • its good nice job but it is dumb just install a hdd or a 16gb flash card

  • @morcho3 pay attention, I did install a hard drive.. the internal memory card is for the soft mod..

  • fuck i hate this song why is it so popular i want to cut my self!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • @omfgg3tlost its not that its popular its that it the least crappiest song youtube gives you for breaking copyrights

  • please

  • song name

  • @TheYasstm Trinity

  • @stonekid33 ha :) It all sat very well above the heat sink (big metal piece)

  • should have hidden those buttons

  • @mikr0bas May do so the next time around I was going to put them underneath it but they were too large and I didn't have access to smaller switches but a deffinate will do next time

  • For people like me (don't know the fisrt thing about moden), I rather buy original Playstation 3 (the 60 gig model).

I still can't believe Sony is still making Playstation 2s! They need to drop the price down to $49.99.

  • @NextNate03 60g models ofter had YLOD.

But the factor is not to get the best, newest model, but nostalgia factor, games library and ability to mod something yourself. Sorry if you not understood me, English is not my first language.

  • killl that musicccccccccccc!!!!!!! arrgggg

  • nice! everything is hidden. technically...

  • um please dont call me stupid but whats FMCB?

  • @phantomguy700 free memory card boot.. its a soft mod

  • this is better than any stupid LED case mod or something. the only thing that would make it better, would be to rehouse the internals of the wireless controller in an official sony case. or maybe a ps3 controller case and use the usb to recharge it

  • @Jallge Thanks man and thats a good idea.. Maybe I'll have a second mod of it :)

  • @pspheaven cool! i'll sub you

  • @pspheaven that would make the best mod, is it possible?

  • Should have used smaller switches and put them in the fire-wire area (since your model doesn't have the plug in the way). would have been clean and system placement wouldn't be awkward.

Heat sink is aluminum and aluminum shields radio signals, I hope the controller is not affected. - Logitech controller would have been prettier, but you worked with what you had.

Hope you had fun - thanks for sharing.

  • @tigyi Thanks for the reply man, :)

Yes I had fun with it, I agree I should've used a logitech controller but as you said thats all I had to work with... As far as putting the switches on top I was just a little lazy and didn't want to try and squeeze them into a smaller space. Though now I wish I had. And no, the controller is not affected.

  • Comment removed

  • ok so u basically made a ps3?

  • would have been good to see where he placed them inside the fat ps2 out of interest. though wouldnt help me on my slim ps2 anyways xD

  • @TheSymbianFreak Just right on top of the heat sinks where there seen on the video..... I just let them sit there with some black tape underneath to prevent shorting.

  • @pspheaven hrm not bad idea but that would leave me worrying about heat on the boards on the heatsink or the internal temps getting too high in a good few hour play session. have you considered maybe upgrading the PS2's fan to compensate and maybe a extractor to help get the heat drawn out?

max props and respect for the mod though, I did similar on my XBox 1 Put a Wireless recever inside with a 8mb mem unit attached :)

  • shit man

  • @Justinized in a good way

  • dope
