  • They need a chariot to move across the street?

  • Face of an Otter? no, she looks really cute :-)

  • @freieLilith

Well, just look at THEIR faces. Irony, pretty much? XD

  • @DeathMessenger1988

    oh yes!

or....well, i don't know the Beauty Ideal of this age and place...maybe they are beautiful there? xD xD xD xD

  • @freieLilith

Well, if the Beauty Ideal was the woman's hair looking like a nutsack, while the man's face looked like a melon gone bad... XD

  • Secundum consilium...

  • 1+ people think "likeing eachother" has to do with marrige!

  • Victoria's mother's hair looks like an upside down scrotum.

  • What I love thinking is that if victors dad married victorias mom theyd both be skinny and same with victors mom and victoria's dad

  • @peachpechepeach I think they couldn't think of something better that rhymes.

  • what does it mean when victoria's parents say she has a "face of an otter in disgrace"? o_ O;

  • @peachpechepeach they basically called her ugly X(

  • Tracey Ullman is amazing, nell vandort so funny, her voice transforms into candice valentine from girls on top apart from she does it a bit lower soooooo funny, tracey is soo talented x

  • "It's not me it's my dress that's caught!" lol She's in denial about her weight!

  • @TheCowboysftw

Actually, that is quite possible. I've seen in some film that the lower parts of these aristocrat dresses have what looks like a big metal cage. It may look like her butt, but it could be one of these cage-things...

  • I hope Tim Burton does some more Stop-Motion movies. His style is not only unique and groundbreaking. But he has the skill to create something dark and gothic and yet somehow make it enduring to children!

  • @MTTT19 He is making a new one called Frankenweenie

  • @oogie6789 That's not a new one, it was already a short, but he's making it into a feature film.

  • @EmberQZ912995 I know it isn't knew he made it years ago, I just meant he was making the feature film. I know my Burton I assure you

  • @oogie6789 My apologies. I should've guess by the name. FrankenWeenie made me cry, quite honestly. My step-sister is obessed with Tim Burton, I'm learning.

  • @EmberQZ912995 Yeah I cried at Frankenweenie too :P

  • @oogie6789 frankenweenie isnt even released yet

  • @karenhenriquez Hence 'making' read you dumb bitch and leave me alone

  • @oogie6789 fuckyu stupid asz hore

  • @oogie6789 FUK YU FUCK YU FUCK STUPID HORE!

  • @oogie6789 =D CANT W8

  • So how are they poor if they've got a huge house?

  • Comment removed

  • @Pennywisea Because "poor" to an aristocrat is having an income of less that 2000 pounds every month. They can afford the house, but they can't support the lifestyle.

  • Emily disliked this video

  • "All you have to do is reel her in."

"I'm already reeling, mother." Victor so reminds me of myself at that age. Great movie.

  • Is it weird that I like the short guy's stride?

  • lol at the horse 0:35 .... that's how I feel in my english class

  • ''Without a penny to their name'' is an idiom I learned this year lol

  • "Mayhew! Silence that blasted COUGHING!"

  • Um...If you don't like each other how did you have Victoria?

  • @cliftongirl1022 Coitus.

  • @cliftongirl1022 They probably did their, um, marriage duty once and only once at their wedding night.

  • @cliftongirl1022 Vodka, and a lot of it.

  • For some reason I love the way she says "Fish merchants" at 1:08 lol. Love this song, I've watched it at least 100 times in the past 2 days.

  • evil guy on the left of screen at 0:43

  • Victoria's parents surly must have been FORCED to get married!

  • @ShadowSonic2 oooooooohhhhh. K I get it now. Mostly ;)

  • "what if victor and I dont like eachother?"

(Scoffs) "as if THAT has anything to do with marrige! Do you suppose your Father and I LIKE eachother?!"

    Surely you must!....alittle

    OFCOURSE NOT!!!!

    LOL

  • They look gloomy, You know who else is gloomier then them?,..*wait for it*.....MY MOM!!! :D

  • @MalescoM nice :P

  • sometimes i wonder how victorias parents had a kid in the first place if they can barely stand each other to even look in the eyes.....

  • @tharailwaydra I wonder how in terms of...erm...mechanics, let's say. I try not to think about it. XD

  • @tharailwaydra

It's set in the Victorian times. When you came from a wealthy family in the 1800s, you usually fell victim to an "arranged marriage". Well-off Victorians rarely married for love.

  • @tharailwaydra Love or even any sign of compassion, isn't really needed... animal instinct alone would lead the way... Lol ^_^

  • @tharailwaydra Just doing their duty.

  • Victoria's family has buttlers and maids and yet theyre broke?

  • @8888kimmy8888 They're broke from their POV, which would mean that compared to normal folks they still have some money.

  • @8888kimmy8888 They probably still have a little money, but by their standards, it's akin to being poor.

  • @8888kimmy8888 do they have to pay to get butlers and maids ? so do they hire maids?

  • @8888kimmy8888 They're poor but they have standards that they'd rather die than compromise. And maybe they're not even paying the servants' wages at the moment. (I read about reduced nobility in Prus's "The Doll", the situation is very similar.)

  • yeah, pat your husband on the head why don`t ya, you physco lady

  • I can hear you speak without gasping...torture!!!

  • ..yes...she does look quite like an otter

  • I'd forgotten how detailed the puppets are! They're more emotive than some actors I can think of. :D

  • <3

  • I love the big-nosed duster-dude. xD

  • the vocal harmonies rock at the end of the song

  • wow I bet they think Victoria is the untractive one!

  • I bet when Victora would ask for candy her mother would say "do you think WE have candy?!...its for fish merchants!"

  • I Always Wondered, Isn't The Other Family's House RIGHT Across The Street?

  • y r they taking a carrige to acroos the street

  • @AGdollwillis Because, in "their" time, if you DIDN'T take a carriage across the street, you would seem poor.

  • I can just imagine what Finis and Madeleine must've thought the Van Dorts were doing in the carriage...

  • johnny depp is AMAZING:D

  • LMFAOOO look at williams face when nell's scolding victor about his clothes

  • this is NOT karaoke. >:(

  • Do you think your Father and I LIKE eachother!?

    you must....aittle?

    OFCOURSE NOT!!!!

    LOL

  • Anyone else think it was weird that they needed to take a carriage to go across the street?

  • @v1de0gamr of course not, it was victorian england: if u didnt take a carriage to go to your neighbors next door, you were obviously poor and a loser

  • @Pocketwatch625 maybe, but I also wonder why the carriage ride took so long? They were going literally right across the street, they shouldn't have been in that coach for more than 2 seconds.

  • @v1de0gamr yes, you have a point there. I also noticed that they didn't make any turns, either.

  • Tim Burton and Danny Elfman should write all our musicals from now on. There's something about these songs that makes them fit into the scene so well, unlike High School Musical, where they just start singing and dancing for no apparent reason. Plus, they're dark enough so that they aren't a pathetic excuse to stop the action.

Btw Victoria looks like a person I know.

  • Corsets were so bad for them lol glad I didn't live back then, just like learning about it lol.

  • Yes I know it was the norm, however, I'm stating that I don't like it. Im so glad I wasn't born in those times.

  • @mckfrr ; I actually wish I was alive in those times. Actual social etiquete and culture.

  • "our daughter with a face of an otter in disgrace" WTF??

Brilliant film anyway, I love this song :)

  • @MrsDanielRadcliffeN1 They're being mean.

  • You know what I hated about in this movie, is that both Victor's and Victoria's parents didn't care about their child's happiness, they just wanted money and power. LOL they didn't deserve to be parents, but that's how it was for some back then.

  • @mckfrr

the setting of movie was in the old society where the parents was the one who arrange to their children when it comes on marriage because that time the only important thing was power and richess in the society.

if you poor or nothing most of higher to you was treating you like a trash....(based on what i've leard in our world history)

lucky them if the one who's gonna married are love their each other ^^.

  • @mckfrr Well that was the norm for rich/important people back then. Though Victoria's parents had a more valid reason.

  • somehow johnny depp still looks like himself even as a puppet

  • the nightmare before christmas is BEST! the corpse bride....? LACKS SOMETHING BUT I CAN'T PUT MY FINGER ON IT.

  • I know what it lacks................... Jack Skellington lolz Naw I'm kidding. Both movies r great. Tim Burton is a genius!

  • Johnny Depp is awesome

    Cool song too XD

    still

  • The vocie actor that plays victor is Johny deep so no wonder why ypu like him =3

  • Het betekent "volgens plan". ;)

  • Awesomeness... this film rocks! xD
