@liidan15 Yes. If your character was caldari, you would only need to train skills for the other factions titan, the same with your faction and any other ship. Eve is skill based, factions are really only for bonuses.

What 'race' your character is never restricts anyone, and Titans are rarely fielded by people who are merely content to involve themselves in Faction Warfare; this is the providence of null-sec alliance wars, and they rarely, if ever, involve themselves in the petty disputes of the four Empires. (CVA is a 'special' case)

@Zombiepwnage117 It's a tactical weapon now instead of a retard pulse that everyone avoids. Why try to field a Titan as a one-ship fleet, anyway? That's just stupid. It's an overgrown command ship, it needs its own fleet. This way it can have a large support fleet without worrying about killing said fleet, AND it can insta-pop most large vessels, i.e. Battleships, Dreadnoughts, and Carriers, and critically damage Super Carriers and other Titans. It sees more action, this way.

3 Million damage compared to 40 million eHP (properly fitted aeon with slave and fleet bonuses (shield-capitals suck)) isn't critical.

However, titans behave comparably well in lagged situations and can be effectively used to kill the enemy's logistics/commandships/fleet commander.

I like the idea that DD weapons can take out an entire fleet of ships but that's just OP. I'dloke to see the CCp devs make a DD weapon the could take out small group of ships IF the were in close proximity to the main target of the titan. lets say 5 km from the target and any secondary targets take a reduced amount of damage. It's sort of balanced way of saying "thus weapon is uber" while not making it OPed enough to take out an entire fleet from the system.

I read somewhere on the EVE site that the Caldari version will be a barrage of smaller missiles, while the Gallente version will be essentially four of five citadel torps fired in quick succession. If you ask me, the Gallente DD should be a massive raingun broadside or something.

Hybrids and missles go on all races, just with different bonus(or none at all) caldari get extra hybrid range, theyre damage dealers in missle though, Even though the caldari titan does kinetic damage i thinki it would be better if gallente got the hybrid DD bc they output more dps than caldari. Why is Gallente DD Thermal anyways, shouldnt that be amarr?

yes, but missiles and railguns are caldari racial weapons. Gallente are geared towards drones and blasters. They have the odd ship that uses missiles, like every other race, and it normally pisses off the people who fly those races when a new ship is like this.

Caldari and Gal just happen to share hybrids because they're close relations, but they have their own types of hybrid.

also, amarr are EM.

All titans in EVE will receive similar super-weapon redesigns, more or less to force them to take part in battles more often, rather than sitting back and setting of a system wide light-show. In essence, they're still the most powerful weapons available, but require the titan to be able to target it's victim.
