I am not getting the dynamic input dimension boxes when sketching new geometries. I went into app options, and checked "edit dimension when created", but I am still not getting the axis boxes following my cursor around like you have when creating new geometry. I have to manually edit each dimension after drawing it. Do you know what could be wrong here?
It does not work in this case. I have to stop and rewind way more than normal. Be specific when a mouse button is picked or held down and when to let go etc... That’s what matters. Sorry, but if you do this, you'll be No 1. Just my opinion.
Also... He rambles on many times on what is not a specific command and mumbles on past a specific click or pic on an icon or choice. Don't show his face and the hand movements. Just makes you want to smack him. I know he has good intensions, and the casual approach is a kind try in soothing the intellect and try to draw simplicity.
This guy is a pain in the ass. Stop the hand movements. The jokes suck. But it has been helpfull. Thank for some. To much dam talking. Way too much. But, I'll still thank you.
Hello Rob. I was wondering if AutoCad 2010 Student Version is completly different than 2011 AutoCad Version. The reason behind my question is because the problem that is occuring is the dimensions. On (2:20) you put ArmLength and when I put ArmLength on the Student Version 2010 it turns red. I am wondering if I need to turn on the dimension feature to work as you did in the video. Thank you for taking your time to read this and please let me know how you could assist my problem.
Hi Dic3r! For the circle at 3:50 (is not a half circle) Rob showed an alternative way for drawing arcs, just staying in line command. So, in line command, going back in the point end of that line, and left click and hold dragging the mouse in the direction that you need for drawing the arc. Rob thank you for your videos!!!!!
hi rob, at 3:50 i didnt heard u well what to do for writting half circle. Can u please write me forward instructions? as i said i'm hard of hearing and i mostly reading from lips.
@busspuppy What version of Inventor are you using? In 2011 we introduced Dynamic Input while Sketching which is what prompts you for the dims while in a sketch.
@robcohee Hey thanks for your response. I was using the 2010 version. I will upgrade to the 2011 version since I am able to get the student edition. I appreciate your time and effort creating these videos, and wish you a great Thanksgiving tomorrow, take care.

Hi Rob,
how did you infer the second tangent constraint exactly with the end of the vertical line (min 3:55) ?
Thank you so much for your videos! They help me a lot! Stef
