The story of Wizard of Oz was to find the wizard through a dangerous adventure so they could achieve something from the wizard, for the Scarecrow it was a brain.

Notice all the pictures were black & white? This was done to make you subconsciously draw associations with the WWII Holocaust pics we all have engrained in our minds.
