  • i want them all!!!!!!!!!!

  • does the shop have any carcano rifles

  • @Il21946fan no they only sell american surplus rifles and target shooting rifles. :(

  • I wanted to ask you, what gun club are you affliated with? I live in anniston, and I can't find a local gun club that the CMP will recognize in order to purchase an M1.

  • @BW185 join the garand collectors association, only costs 25 bucks, that's what i did, i am now planning on going to the Ohio CMP store very soon.

  • @BigSean1992 i'm dying to get a garand and would really like to buy it straight out of military surplus. So i'll have to do some training inorder to become a member (i think that's how it works) How much does a surplus garand cost?

  • @tehatemachine google CMP. it is the first thing that comes up under "odcmp.c..o..m.." on the left side in the blue go down to 'sales' then go down to 'eligibility requirements' that tells you everything. you dont really have to train for anything, for me my membership in CMP affiliated org was with the Garand Collectors Association for 25 dollars. and my handgun carry permit was my firearms activity. everything is pretty simple, hope this helped.

  • @BigSean1992 it certainly did! I found the prices on surplus garands, A really good one was like a thousand bucks on their site plus shipping. Defiantly worth the money to, Especially if you want to protect your liberty and freedom. There are alot of thugs appearing up in my area due to califronias repeated failure in welfare and social government aid coupled with failing public schools that produces impoverished criminal type people.

  • @BigSean1992 I'd rather die from starvation than to fall into the hands of a welfare system :D and I may be venturing off to far on the main topic. But that's just how i feel, Self responsibility, and Obeying laws that are constitutional (AB144 is not constitutional so therefore i will not follow it nor intentionally try to break it infront of everyone) I have a right to defend myself! God bless the U.S.A and our founding fathers!

  • Really sucks that I want an autoloader shotgun, single action open top revolver and a .30-30 or .357/.38 spl lever action rifle and someone on the gun forum bumped a thread on CMP Garands =/ Now I want to use the bulk of my tax return on one! Really cool that they can ship these to your home, no FFL transfer b.s.

  • Da Kenyan Kommie Oblahblah, and his fellow Shitcago niggah Holder, very recently prohibited over ONE MILLION M1s from coming back here from Korea.

Horror Bitch Clinton got on the manure wagon and spewed out of her gangster whore mouth "that they MIGHT get into the wrong hands"...that scummy, walking, yapping piece of politiscum shit.

If that slimey,2 faced, lying rat bastard EVER gets another term; his NWO doggy, totalitarian, social engineering, skinny Black ass will rule from a throne of dogshit.

  • @Gmissile they OK'd the 88 thousand M1 garands, but kept out the 800k ish of m1 carbines because of them there detachable assault clips

  • If i Got A M1. it has to fire and fire that's all. if ir old looking and look's like it was in a War that's cool

  • Eric, what are their prices on M1 carbines? Thank you in advance

  • What were their M1 carbine prices?

  • Thinking about a trip to either Alabama or Ohio now, very cool.

  • @fermi911 Come to Alabama, most of us are nice.

  • Thanks for posting and sharing this informative video. We see what is actually offered via the CMP.

  • how do you get able to by there? pm it plez

  • @joeydodgemuddin I think you just sign up online for the civilian marksmanship program. Then once you are a member you get to go shop at there locations.

  • its almost like a dream wish they had a shop like this in canada all we got here is norinco junk and alot of russian surplus definatly gotta start importing

  • @security225

You guys/gals have got to start slapping your politiscum around like the bitches that they are. You're CITIZENS, not Subjects ... for God's sake.

We in the USA will respond in kind and also start slapping our misruling assholes around, as they so richly deserve...the craven, bought off whore scum.

ALL the former Brit colonies have smelly, vile insects in their Halls Of Power that import Ghads for cheap votes and a voting dependent class.

    This CAN NOT endure.

    Soon The Cleansing.

  • Oh!.........after a bit more reading, I would clearly place my $400 M-1 purchased 20 years ago at "SPECIAL GRADE", the finish is 100% on wood and parkerized metal, really turns heads of other shooters at the range when I uncase and push in a clip. The wood is very light in color and highly polished.

  • Great video!

Got a call from a good friend who was in Alabama visiting family, the day before he went to buy 2 Garands, he was kind enough to offer to pick one up for me. However I came across a Springfield manufactured piece (Serial # indicated 1945 date) 20 years ago at a Civil War Show in Baltimore, complete w/ sling and cleaning kit in butt . He asked for $400...........shoots great, best $400 I ever spent.

Thanks for posting video, enjoyed it and reading all the comments.

  • is this in your home stat of gorga?

  • 30-40 Krag was a great gun, but it was expensive, so allot of units still had trap door guns.

  • How do I purchase an M1 Grand on line, and will I be assured the quality?

    mcherry1@peoplepc.com

  • @TheMarkCherry You can order whichever grade you choose from the CMP and you should feel 100% confident that the rifle will fall within the guidelines of that grade's description. Nothing more nothing less. If you have questions about the necessary paperwork to purchase from the CMP shoot me a PM or email at pkaufer@cox.net

  • Just don't let the rain get on your weapons.

  • Do you need to be a member of the CMP To buy from them

  • When choosing a firearms of this age, what should I be looking for? I know to look for pitting and signs of corrosion but is there any way to asses things like barrel wear when handling a gun of this age? Would it be wise to buy something like this over the internet or should I definitely inspect it in person?

  • thanks for making this vid real interesting

  • 5:40 KRAG KARABIN <3 Norwegian made rifles!

  • Man, I hope my dad and I could be able to make the trip to buy one of these beauties! I would have butterflies the entire trip, and probably faint when I finally walk in!

  • i jizzed my pants when i saw the inside.

  • So is it hard to obtain a CMP garand or no because im looking for a nice m1 that doesnt cost that much.

  • @aquosman99 Not hard at all. Just have to meet the purchase requirements and put in an order. I think they start at $550ish on up.

  • I live in Pennsylvania, around Philadelphia, Please, can you help me man? I need to know if there are things like these for the Garand locally in my state, would you know if there are?

  • So does Russia have a store like this but stock Mosin Nagant 91/30's?

  • just out of curiosity does the Civilian Marksmanship Program still exists?

  • @leadfoot210 Yes

  • the m1 garand i personally think was the best long range gun in world war 2

  • As always great info. I really enjoy watching your vidios.

    You're my"ol faithful" !!

  • I want the Garand that has the most abuse. It has seen war and is proven. Nothing a little sand paper and time cannot restore. Or not.

  • i wish we had a building like this one in my country...

  • Please tell me how to place an order for a nice M1 Garand. I have got a crazy craving for a Garand!

  • please tell me where you were at,please email me soldierdad69@yahoo.com

  • i just got my M1 today and man stuffs gone up in price sadly.

  • Do you have to be a member of the CMP or whatever to buy a rifle from there?

  • I was there last weekend

  • Thanks for the video... I will be packing the kids in the car for my first trip to the CMP South Store on May 27, 2011. I can hardly wait. I am ultimately shopping for a nice shooter M1 Garand, and may also settle on a Kimber since their stock is begining to run low. I really wanted a 1903, but I keep getting shafted on deals... so I will go for the sure deal with the Rusty 82G.

Thanks for posting this video, I will shoot obe very similar and post it to the CMP forums.

  • So many of those Garands came from defunct Military Academies.

I went to Oklahoma Military Academy.

The student population (enrollment) varied between 300-400 Cadets.

Each of us had a Garand in perfect working condition.

    Well kept and maintained.

Most of them in far better condition than the ones in this vid.

I wondered where they went when the school closed.

    Now I know.

  • i wanna buy a garand. but i want one that shot a few germans or japs for that matter. are the legit WWII ones getting hard to find??

  • Comment removed

  • I visited the CMP store at Camp Perry Ohio last year during the National Matches. The cost of Garands has been increased to $495 for a Field Grade and $595 for a Service Grade. There are no more Carbines, Krags, 1917's or 1903's. The CMP may release a few 1903 rifles this year. Picked up several sweet rifles.

Also joined a new qualifing club at the store. "The M1 Collectors Club". The membership cost is real low compared to others.

  • Visit the CMP stores to purchase a Garand.

  • what the fuck how come they dont have gun shops in canada like this? and for that cheap!

  • @32middlelinebacker cus canada sucks!

  • @dbracr27 dont even start dbag!

  • @Tex125

You can order from the CMP website and have the rifle shipped to your house. You must meet all the requirements found on the CMP website.

Sorry guys no more M1 Carbines and 1903's at this time :(

Some 1917's and 1903's maybe avalible sometime later this year.

  • Comment removed

  • is smp sales office in georgia

  • @92elcorbett

No it is located in Anniston Alabama. The CMP has two stores: Anniston Alabama and at Camp Perry in Ohio.

  • ha its like trying to find the right christmas tree!

  • how much would a decent m1 garand cost today?

  • @Titleification

Service grades are $595.. and are real sweet. No more carbines or 1903's.

You need to join a club like the M1 Collectors club or another affiliated club. VFW etc qualifies.

  • thats a lot of garands...

  • Where do u think is a good place to find garands

  • I don't get it it says those m1 garands are $475 but I can't find. One in northeast Ohio for less than $700 u hav any suggestions

  • @pyroboys2 Well this video is a little dated....

  • @Iraqveteran8888 I have heard that this gun is about 500 dollars. or in that price range. but as time progresses m1 garands will be scarce and itll soar up to about 1000 plus dollars, say, in 4-5 years from now, what would be the price?

  • @pyroboys2 in south florida garands are very hard to find, I have seen a few enfields, Kar 98s, an Arisaka, I myself have an Arisaka type 99, I have seen M1 carbines, in local gunshops, but the only time I have ever seen garands, they were from $1800 to $2900,

  • @pyroboys2 The quality was not very good on them, better quality garands are more expensive.

  • @pyroboys2 If you can get an M1 for $700, grab it. It is a better investment than gold. I bought a Garand for $400 about 20 years ago. Now I wish that I had bought all 10 that day.

  • @pyroboys2 CMP civilian marksmanship program offers mil surplus firearms at discounts but you have to meet certain criteria to purchase from them. Check out their website.

  • @pyroboys2 It's because its the CMP. You won't find a Garand for less than $700 from a Private seller or a gun show or shop etc. CMP is by far the cheapest way to get a Garand. PM me if you need help figuring out how to buy from them as it can be rather complicated, but very much worth the hassle! I love my CMP M1

  • @VMFA134

A friend of mine got a Korean War-issued M1 for $700 and says I can get one also when I get the money for it. Does CMP have better deals? I'm nowhere near Alabama....

  • @pyroboys2 do you live in lake county?

  • machine gun mounted on a wheel chair not a bad idea at all

  • Great vid man. I live in Ohio and I'm gonna have to visit the camp perry CMP shop!

  • @ ledmetacdc Thanks buddy I guess ILL call them in DC and call some clubs around me think?

  • thats amazing a cheap price to! the only ones (garands) I've seen for sale down here in texas wer like $700

  • Im from Colorado if I drive their can I buy 1 or 2 30.06 grands or do I have to send them to a gun shop near me? If you know any thing e-me back thank and thanks for the VID it was great

  • @RoflmaoAtSheepeople You have to be a part of acknowledged organization and they will ship directly to your door. I bet there is a list that will tell you what to join.

  • Cool Vid!

  • I always get to this video of yours and end up with a lot of envy.. God I'd love to visit such a place..

And I'd love an M1 Garand too. .

    Oh, wait... I've got one!!!

  • I am envious as all get out!

  • I bet it smells great in that place.

  • Would one expect to find any .308 WIN Garands at a CMP sales office?

  • were that store at

  • I wish I could buy a Garand for that cheap. The cheapest I've ever seen them in Raleigh is 800$ and that's for beat up parts guns. Of course, I've never seen a good deal on a gun in NC.

  • would you recommend a field grade-service grade M1 garand? because I really want to get one from CMP. thanks!

  • dang awesome gun shop. lots of m1`s they got

  • Now i know what heaven looks like ahh my god so beautiful

  • Now i know what heaven looks like

  • Dang...This really makes me want to blow my savings on a beautiful piece of American weaponry.

  • he need some 20mm turrets on the side of the chair

  • Great video cant wait to get a garand from the cmp!

  • How do you know it was a lazy Private that scatched the rifle you pointed out in this video? You don't. In fact there are no military personnel involved with these rifles anymore, even the M1s. It's all civilians at the depot level my friend. My Dad worked at the Anniston Army Depot for 24 years after he retired from the Army and hand picked all of the rifles we got when it was still known as the DCM.

  • Im new to guns and i was just wondering how much kick do these things have

  • @alexsmith117 not much at all. the rifle wieghs 12 pounds. my ten year old cousin shoots them

  • @alexsmith117 Yeah the gas operation and weight, lower the recoil alot, making the rifle shoot with silky smooth, predictable recoil.

  • im planning on buying a new hunting rifle soon. since most bolt action rifles are well beyond $500, i think i should get an m1. would you recommend a field grade for hunting?

  • Just a shame you have to be a US citizen to buy from a CMP store. I'd love a few of these for my collection. very informative video all the same, thanks

  • I would love to have a Garand..... Too bad i live in Australia. Strict Gun Laws can go suck it.

  • so many garands, so much beauty, so much american :)

  • Hey when you picked up the Mossberg M44 .22 you picked up my rifle my rifle was bought from there and it has the same white spick of white paint on the stock in the same place and then where the reciever is stamped U.S. Property it has the same marks I am 99.9% shure thats the rifle I bought!

  • Damn, M-1 Garand Heaven. Thanks for posting.

  • Dear Santa,

  • 500?! 800 or so here in texas =(

  • Makes me glad I got my c&r. I've already got one M1 (great uncle carried it in the pacific) and whenever I can save the money up, I'm gonna buy one to have as an everyday shooter! Fantastic rifles they are :)

  • i know this video was made a while ago, but did they have any 1917 enfields?

  • Haha nice bid I live in Alabama and I shoot with cmp I am a air rifle shooter with Shelby county shooting sports in Birmingham al but my team has very close conections with CMP

  • more cool stuff

  • Garand Mecca. Absolutely stunning.

  • even though Mauser was faster and easier to reload than 30-40 karg, but the U.S. still won The Spanish American War. That a good portion of the volunteers were already expert shots and gunfighters.

  • what are the rules if you live out of state and want to come there to purchase

  • I got my M1 Garand from the CMP South Office Yesterday. I bought the Service Grade. I can't speak for everyone but I can tell you this is a really great Rifle. The CMP did a great job picking it out.

If you have not had the opportunity to get your CMP M1 I suggest you do so. The whole experience was outstanding.

  • @M1ASniper Congratulations, isn't the CMP awesome? I have a Garand and a carbine from them and I am very happy with both.

  • is it recomended to buy a field grade or a service grade in terms for a shooter. and how does one go about buying an M1 because i live in CA. im an NRA member and a California Rifle and Pistol asociation. what other things do i need to do in order to buy one. i am 19 years old and obviously a U.S citizen. i really want an M1. very good prices here they go for 1,000 here in CA.

  • Man, I wish there was one of those in Texas....

  • Excellent video; you gave a great tour of the CMP sales office. Clearly you know what you're talking about. There are a lot of Yayhoos out there making videos that don't really know whereof they speak...but you do man.

  • You used to really crank out some good ones, where you been brother?

  • @hangemhigh2000 I still put out quite a few videos as time permits. I try to keep things equally revolved around handloading, shooting, and gunsmithing. I put up a 10 part series on doing a 922r conversion on a Saiga 12 Shotgun, etc.

I just uploaded a video about the basic of buying AKs as we speak.... ;)

  • Excellent video. Thanks for posting. I wish I could go on a shopping spree in a place like that and fill up the bed of my truck. :)

  • gosh, you hear about that garand importation ban from korea? what the hell was obama thinking!

  • I want one if they still have any

  • Thanks for posting this !

  • i need to go there but we dont have the money:( im in florida so were not that far

  • I'm accually planning a trip down to the alabama store do you remember if they had Special Grade M1 Garand's at the store? oh and nice video :)

  • @peicemakerSS22 No I think you gotta be registered with the CMP.

  • WOW! that place is heaven, i didnt see any m14(m1a) rifles, but those garands looked sweet. Id like to get a 762 rifle, but il stick to my DCM Bushy for now. thanks for the vid.

  • Is there anything more satisfying than seeing dozens of rifles stacked side by side?

  • It's surprising how similar the Krag looks to the m1903 Springfield... I went to a gun show this weekend and failed a few times seeing what I thought was a Springfield like mine, only to discover it was a Krag instead

  • do you need a ID to buy the M1 Garand? just asking i am 15 by the way the M1 G is my Fav out of the all out there

  • @iKnoWScopZ

you need to be 18, just like ALL RIFLES AND SHOTGUNS

  • @METALLIMAN545 to get anything from the CMP you have to be part of a group (gun club or ROTC school) that is approved by or affiliated with the CMP

  • @36MonkeysThatFly

maybe you should have read what i replied to. he askeddo you need an ID to buy a rifle (m1 garand) and that he is 15 years old

  • THIS is the arsenal of democracy!

  • Nice rifles. How much did you pay for the M1 Garands you purchased?

  • machine gun would send the wheel chair reeling backwards lol.

  • do you have to be in a club or something just to buy from this place???

  • Why don't this CMP outfit sell to Americans? Or did Congress intentionally set it up to sell only to elitist? "Civilian Marksmanship Program" isn't that some form of socialism. Great video but CMP SUCKS. Socialism SUCKS! How un American is that? You must belong to some club. NRA isn't good enough for them. Sorry, this elitism just pisses me off.

  • Which grade is best for the accuracy and price?

  • Was just there and got a Kimber 82 and mucho cans of 30'06. Years ago, before the store was opened, you could volunteer to work at the CMP and get to cherry pick rifles (my dad and I volunteered together - he's USMC Viet Vet and retired military). I did that and got a SA '03 and a HRA M1 that are just beautiful and the barrels gauge at pretty much new. What I like now is that the CMP cleans the cosmoline from the rifles, but it also takes part of the fun away. The CMP staff were very helpful.

  • What is the civilian marksmanship program?

  • MY GAD!!!

  • Looking at getting a service grade. I just want a shooter, I dont care about cosmetics.

  • You should see the number of Garands in South Korea and Philippines. its in the Millions, not to mention the 03A3s..

  • you lucky ass i would have loved to take all the m1 garands home with me iam only 17 i cant get one for my self yet but some day

  • where is that gun shop at

  • Wat state is tht store in

  • also im thinking of getting one of them garands from cmp. but im wondering how bad the Service Grade M1 Garand were. i mean u probably looked down the barrels and whats not. i mean id love to put out 900 on the Special Grade M1 Garand. but if its still in good enough condition i wont. or should i just put out for the special grade?

    gun respect Dallas, Texas

  • wait. we had Springfield but the army didnt want to use them because they thos that our boys would just burn through ammo.(what i heard on the history channel on i think weaponology. might have been the military channel)

  • @budgray18 I think your thinking about the fact that when semi-autos first came out the military was concerned that soldiers would over use ammo. In the end they adopted them anyways and it helped win WW2.

  • @Mrcaffinebean honestly i dont remember what i was going on about, i know it was about the Spanish American war. about us to use the trap door or the Springfield bolt action. but other than that i forgot what i was goin on about

  • AAH! I wish we had a warehouse in CA!

  • Oh shit, it's WWII Disneyland!

  • it's like disneyworld

  • Thanks for posting this. Being in AZ I have to order and deal with the luck of the draw. I've been mostly happy with the M1'a and Carbine CMP has sent me. The muzzles on mine have been just fine:)

  • wht does rat grade mean exactly

  • @camelkiller22 "Rack Grade" These will show more use than the other grades. If you go to the CMP website there is a complete discription

  • man, i sure wish they had one of these in Tucson, i;m after a Garand.

  • If your not CMP eligible, is there still a way to buy a gun from them? I would love to get a Krag or Garand. I'm about 7 hours south of Anniston AL here in North Florida.
