Sorry, I tried following this exactly and still couldn't get it to do anything. Matinee is the shittiest tool I've ever tried to use, and to be honest, I'm done with UDK entirely.
Dude, the videos kick ass. Thanks for all the information.
I have to ask, since I need to get a new machine for development, what are your hardware specs? Everything seems to run pretty smooth in your dev environment.
how did you get those square's in the map(those square's where you line up with in gray) how can you make more of that? becose now it's hard to correct and line all thing's up, any help?
I've heard that you need excellent c/c++ programming skills in order to make a game.but when you have UDK which takes care of everything when and why do you program and in what language? Please advice..
Raven, I've gained quite a bit from your videos; so thanks - but nonetheless I must say I've found fustration from time to time when you do something and you don't say why or what it does!
"I'm just gonna do this here, you may not want to" or something the like.
I've been having no end of trouble getting my SpeedTrees to work, and I don't think it helped that you didn't explain billboards / atlases
I followed this tutorial, it was very helpful =], but I have one problem... when I put in the director group, none of the movement tracks work, any ideas what I did wrong?
Are you sure they "don't work" or do they simply disappear? because that happens to me. The only thing I know to do to get around it is to simply do all the camera animation before I add the directorgroup.
Hopefully Raven will reply to us and tell use what we're doing wrong.
Ah it's ok it turns out the problem is simply that UDK assigns the DirectorGroup way too much screenspace, and you have to make the window larger to see your other tracks
@calumhm What used to happen to me was the camera would work fine, but all the actors would stay still, however, I found out I had used the wrong physics type for them. After changing it, they worked.
@calumhm They were SkeletalMeshActors, I had the physics set to PHYS_None, changing Physics to PHYS_Interpolating fixed it. That's all I remember since it's been a while
Can you develop a tutorial on how to import your own Character model ( the player ) from 3ds max to UDK if possible. Or something similar. Basically I want to develop my own Player design , movement and etc.
Lol i like your replys to peoples comments "Thanks", "Thanks" lol XP Great Tutorials Btw ive learned load from them. A tutorial on how to add a skybox would be great (maybe a 3d skybox?)
Thanks so much for this!!! Worked great!!!

Could you give me the exact details? It could be useful in future to know your problem and it's fix. Where they InterpActors etc?
