  • @padawangussin1 The 09 film is just an alternate timeline created by the Narada arriving in the past. The comic tie ins even show the Enterprise- E scanning the other side of the rift just after the ships went through, the original is still there with novels still being written that are set in it.

  • Please support our Facebook group the enterprise needs a doohan we aim to get enough like so abrams will give Christopher doohan a cameo in star trek (2013)

  • 24,000 Euros please.

  • Little RICKY !!! MEDIC!

  • Oh yes. I've seen that before. They;ve got one of those in Epping Flipton.

  • they need to hire nicholas meyer or anyone who can meld a true sci-fi vision with a good story

  • i do not even consider this the 11th movie of the series

for a movie it was complete bull crap

  • I don't think there's enough lens flare in this movie, I hope the next one has more.

  • 0:37 I said the same

  • The new Star trek completely distroys the Trek Universe

    Vulcan gone

    Amanda Dead

A ship of cadets getting a ship just out of training

This is what they came up with

  • @padawangussin1 True but G.R. is long dead someone gonna have to take his place so later J.A. took over his legacy work and continued the Trek films. Even he didn't screw up the Trek Universe he screw up the time line.

  • @padawangussin1 I've heard the exact same thing about other films. New Transformers sucks (made 1 billion) Star trek reboot sucks (Sequal in the works) New Nightmare on elmstreet sucks(Well, two out of three ain't bad). My point is that when ever somebody desides to do something original with what's already established, there's always going to be someone who's going to complain about it. Fans were up in arms when they found out Spock was going to die in Wrath of Kahn. Nothing ever changes.

  • @GESSO217 "Fans were up in arms when they found out Spock was going to die in Wrath of Kahn" True but no one ever knocked the movie unlike this new crap fest. After I saw The Wrath of Kahn I had the same reaction to it like all other Trekkers "It was a great film but it was not Star Trek because the killed Spock." The new Star Trek, Transformers, and the New Nightmare on Elm Street do suck! They are bad movies! But You like them & that’s OK.

  • @padawangussin1 It has merely created an alternate universe. Not destroyed the original.

  • @pupbenny creating an alternate universe is destroying the original

it is like all we have seen up to now did not really happen in the first place

  • @MrMysticPaladin It isn't destroying the other universe because in order for this universe to exist the other universe needs to exist.

  • @padawangussin1 Technically, the only cadets-to-ship were Uhura, Kirk and Bones. Even with them, Kirk and Bones were much older than usual cadets (Bones was already a doctor and Kirk had degrees before enlistment). Everyone else was at least a bit experienced; Spock taught at the Academy, Chekov was an attached member of the crew, Sulu-while a replacement-was already in, and Scotty was in the remote post for a bad experiment.

  • @padawangussin1 And in spite of all that.. Kirk's Enterprise remains the biggest and best (albeit totally trashed in this case!)

  • @padawangussin1 A life. You need one.

  • @padawangussin1 Agreed.

  • @padawangussin1 I don't think Star Trek universe was destroyed. A new universe was created, a parallel universe was created to explain all changes made. And I think it was very good. Star Trek earned a whole new generation of fans. I, for example. I'm not a big fan, but when I watched Star Trek 2009 I started to want to see the original series.

PS: English isn't my first language, so please forgive any mistake.

  • How the fuck was that a "brilliant" scene? Where's the acting? Where's the dialogue? Anyone who's impressed by visuals alone has a horrible taste in moves.

  • @VitalSigns1

What you're ignoring is the quality of the direction itself. No, there was nothing special about the acting. Same story with the script..but let nobody say that J.J. Abrams doesn't know how to direct a movie. This scene is beautifully filmed and directed, and the music makes it that much better. I wasn't the biggest fan of "Star Trek," but it wasn't the fault of the man sitting behind the camera.

  • Whats with the shitty off-screen camera? This isn't 1998.

  • awful sound quility.

  • great scene

  • The original shits over this CGI crap. No soul just some fancy camera angles.

  • @Uberdude25 I concur completely...stay perceptive and discerning...it works for you.

  • Sure it might not be the best Star Trek ever made in the existance of mankind, but it was an ok movie in my opinion.

  • @Yaoimonk An okay film, yes. So was Terminator Salvation. They both suffer from 'Acute Not Looking At The Original To See What It's Actually Like Syndrome': The worst disease a sequel/prequel could have.

  • MrMatisito, I agree it was an OK action movie, but it was poor trek. It was standard action heroes in space with a poor plot that relied on so many obscenely contrived devices it was hard to take it seriously. I failed to do so and watched it as popcorn fare instead. Trek should involve the brain as well as the hormones and it's difficult to see how anyone could argue the film did that. Some halfway decent performances though.

  • They should have made the shuttle so much smaller, the ship looks tiny when the shuttle goes into the shuttlebay

  • You can actually see the Enterprise as the shuttles first approach spacedock. It is in the top right corner, closest to the glare from the sun.

  • I almos crap my pants when i see the New Enterprise.... XD

  • "I felt that they should've kept the props more in synch with the TV series: same clothes, same model ship, ect. to make it more authentic!"

  • Anyone who doesn't get goosebumbs when the Enterprise appears can't possibly have a heart.

However, I'd still like to see this film made with the TMP era Enterprise... just imagine how they would be with modern special effects.

  • 0:30 thats one beautiful lady.

  • "JJ abrams ruined Star Trek?" wow..people really LOVE to complaint!! This was a great fucking epic movie!

  • @MrMatisito Star Trek was on the verg of growing stale before Abram's came around. Nemisis failed, ST:Enterprise was canned, the only other option was to start fresh. Sure it was almost completely different than what had come before but that was the whole point.

  • this movie shoulf be tarred, feathered, and burned! Worst star trek movie ive ever seen!

  • @thegtawizard I must politely disagree as a Trekkie that loves all the generations and the new one too. It was incredible to see this film and to have my brother and sister-in-law see it and love it too. They saw it in the theaters and unfortunately, I didn't. But what I saw later on DVD blew me away. And this reminds me of the very first Trek film. The Enterprise is Jim's "first best destiny" and always shall be.

  • JJ Abrams should be killed to death for ruining Star Trek.

  • Nothing beats the Enterprise E. She's the Milf of all Starfleet ships.

  • This is sad to say, but I freely admit it: I almost cried at this scene in theatres. Seeing that ship brought back so many memories. What an awesome reboot.

  • ......Wow!

  • If you DIDN'T feel like cheering when you saw this scene, Kirk seeint the fully-built Enterprise, the old NCC-1701--no bloody A, B, C, OR D...or E...or NX-01?--Enterprise...!

EPIC music, epic scene, and it's great to have Trek back!

  • @obiwanobiwan13 That thing isn't the original Enterprise. She was better looking and belonged to a different universe! She was at her prettiest when she was destroyed in Star Trek III.

  • @terrywest111 Agreed...but IMHO, this Enterprise is beautiful as well...in her own way.

  • @finalfrontier1701 Well, she does have a few interesting features... it's like Scotty told Geordi in "Relics", "Every woman has her charm, you just have to know where to find it." And it looks like they took some of the best features from both the TOS and TMP Enterprises and mashed 'em together. I do like the deflector dish on this Enterprise... and her warp nacelles are interesting. Does anyone else like the connecting dorsal mounted torpedo launcher? Is that a nod to the TMP design, I see?

  • @terrywest111 Yeah, agree on all counts there. The only thing I wish were different is the space between the nacelles. I'm pleased otherwise.

I did like seeing that the put the torpedo bay at the base of the neck like the TMP refit instead of firing from the saucer somewhere.

  • Bleah! The original Enterprise (refit in Star trek II) is better!

  • @TheFazza64 Don't like the original Enterprise refit in Star Trek 1?

  • the music is EPIC!

  • @zhengkaizhong Enterprising Young Men is the score playing.

  • if you pause at 0:21, you can see the Enterprise at the top right of your screen :)

  • is there ANYONE else who can put a better vid of this scene on YouTube?

  • @neoanakinpotter

    Maybe you?

  • @neoanakinpotter No too many flares. XD
