This brought back memories. So far from the old line up the only anime that they keep bringing back is Cowboy Bebop. I'm not complaning I love C.B. but would it kill them to air one of the other animes(From the old line up) instead. I've seen Cowboy Bebop way to many times.
This is what made me watch action back then now everything sucks in action funny stuff kinda ok but these where the days I used to stay up to see yu yu hakusho lupin the third man life sucks now without this action just feels dead even the begining of the line ups is pretty sweet thats what got me all hyped up to watch toonami/adult swim. The same with everything else in life just down hill.
Man anime back then on cartoon network was THE shit!! Old school Toonami and Adult swim..those were the days. Adult Swim and Toonami should both have their own channels that play animes and bad ass promos and line ups like this. That would be so badass. Unfortunately, some ppl in the television business do not know what the people want lol.
why did outlaw star and tenchi muyo get moved to adult swim?? i really don't remember that happening..well i didn't really start watching AS till 2004, but still..
@nazipose72z They move it from Toonami To Audlt Swim because they wanted to show the Uncut Anime Shows. Now Adult Swim these days welll are just sad. :( I missed 2002 Anime.
I miss Outlaw Star and Tenchi being on Adult Swim. I remember putting up a sleeping bag and staying up every Saturday to watch the full lineup. I got hooked on Yu Yu Hakusho real fast.
It's rather horrifying that AS used to be entirely anime for a short while. I love anime as much as the next REASONABLE guy, but comedies are also great to have around, ya know?
I use to watch this all the time when I was in 5 and 6th grade at every Satuday night.I would stay up all night watching every Anime but mostly Id watch Tenchi Muyo & Outlaw Star on AS.
Actually that was reverse: Tenchi started on Toonami in 2000, then in 2002 when the Adult Swim Action/Anime lineup started, it was added in. They showed all of the original OVA and the first episode of Universe, but lost the rights afterward and it was replaced with the original Mobile Suit Gundam series.
@thehidd3ntruth to hell with king of the hill and family guy, bring this lineup back or at least bring some new anime in.screw tom and eric, give me tenchi muyo and yu yu hakusho.
Haha yess 7th grade comes flashing before me. What happend to the group that did these AS and Toonami bumps? They had some talent, honestly the intros/bumps where better then the shows sometimes!
adult swim will be cool if they did this with death note, bleach, and some others even the old reruns like bebop or ghost in the shell.but no they don't do that so we gotta sit here and daydream about the kick ass epic promos of 'KEEP THEM EYES OPEN"and "PUT THE KIDS TO SLEEP AND GET DOWN!" they will end up being like toonami.ah the good ol days(sign)
