Talia Al Ghul is gonna be in The Dark Knight Rises. Joey King (Yes, that is her name) just came out and said that she'll be playing a young Talia Al Ghul which adds even more fuel to the rumors of Marrion Cottilard playing a duel role of Miranda Tate and Talia Al Ghul. Not to mention, Joey and Marrion look very much alike.
@haqzuk yeah but this way you get batmans biggest 3 enemies ra's, joker, catwoman (i know she's considered an anti-hero but she started as a villain and still remains more on that side in my view)
@haqzuk I don't like the way catwoman looks in dark knight rises her costume looks silly in my opinion of course .Michelle Pfeiffer did a great job as catwoman
It looks fine to me. It still retains the traditional skin-tight black suit which is what all Catwoman suits have been. Michelle Pfeiffer's outfit I just found a little too silly with the stitching. Anne's Catwoman suit looks just like what a professional thief/spy would wear which is really what Catwoman is. Anne will do just fine. Christopher Nolan knows what he's doing and even Michelle Pfeiffer has said that she's very excited and pleased with Anne's selection.
I don't really view Ra's Al Ghul as a villain. I see him as a anti hero, as he wants to make a world a better place even it means killing innocent people.
@94Sudi Me to. He just wants to purify the world and make it a better place. He is just so content with doing it, that he kills innocent people in order to achieve his goal.
I love Ra's al Ghul! He really is underrated. Immortal. Leader of the League of Shadows. His motives are understandable, yet his methods are extreme. Plus, he's got one of the greatest voices in the history of ever! David Warner is amazing, and Liam Neeson was a PERFECT choice to play him in "Batman Begins"! Ra's is definitely one of my favorites.
@jokerfan2009 Oh yah I know, but some times people say it Raysh Al Ghool, like in the Batman animated series here :P Eh tomato tomahto lol I prefer to call him Raas
@YuzawaUri That's how its pronounced in Arkham City but I'm sure at some point during the Animated series it was pronounced Ras. I'm thinking that there was a pronunciation error at some point early on until it was corrected.
Rha's is a unique amongst the rogues gallery in that he does not hate Batman; in fact, he greatly respects and admires him, and he is actually quite sad that he and Batman can't see eye to eye.
@PrairieDawgStudios As an aside: there was a comic storyline where Rhas met Bane and was so impressed by his intellect and ability that he decided to name him as his heir instead of Batman. And consequently, there is a rumor that in The Dark Knight Rises, Bane will be assisted by Talia Al Ghul, Rhas' daughter in his attempts to destroy Gotham.
@dkupke That is true. And the rumor splits: it also states that Miranda Tate will be revealed to be Talia Al Ghul. I hope Nolan takes a break from all of his "Realism" and makes Ra's come back with the use of the Lazarus Pit. I find that Christopher Nolan has ruined Bane; he will make Bane's mask release as gaseous anesthesia to render him invulnerable to pain. It's so sad when people re-make villains and make them look good, but they ruin the purpose of them.
@PrairieDawgStudios I actually like what Nolan has done with Bane. With the eyes of his mask uncovered, you can see him react to things and form facial expression-harder to do with the comic book mask. And by making it a gas you negate the whole "pull the tube out" scenario we have seen in so many other media. Beyond that, I have faith in Tom Hardy to make Bane a menacing and intense villain.
@dkupke I don't think the Joker hates Batman, in fact there are many times where Batman is nearly killed and the joker won't allow that person to do it. "I can't kill you cause your just too much fun." But then with the Joker you never know.
I always really loved Ras Al Ghul in the animated series. He was a really interesting and complex character, and the episodes with him were always so fun to watch. I also adored the actor that played him in the movie. He was amazing!
@StarFoxEternity No... if you look at it again, it's talking about Talia, and it says "SHE likes him too", and it's put over a scene of Talia kissing Batman. They were referencing Talia, Ra's daughter there.
@NightStarX99@NightStarX99 No... if you look at it again, it's talking about Batman liking Talia. "'Cause he kinda like her too," and it's put over a scene of Talia kissing Batman. They were referencing Batman liking Talia, Ra's daughter there.
@LoneRebelX All they need to do is work out a way to introduce Batman & Talia's son Damian (sp's wrong I know) into the films at some point and who knows where this whole thing could go?!? Of course they might have to bring Ras back from the dead but that's never a problem in comicbooks much less comicbook films.
that's weird....if read correctly "Ras Al Ghul" actually means head of the ghost or beast......in arabic......i am an arab and it is actually pretty nice i mean usually all the countries like to copy or imitate the americans (which off course isnt a bad thing since i myself am commenting in english) but it is neat that they used an arabic name (if it is arabic they are pronouncing it totally wrong)
@snatchX626 Creator Dennis O'Neil pronounces his name as "Ra'sh" to suggest that he isn't a person from one time period or one place but a man who has lived everywhere, across the globe and has seen and understood the evils of man. I'm not sure what the real Arabic pronunciation is, though.
@ibrahim137792 His name means "Head of the Demon." The Demon is his global organization, the parent organization of the League of Assassins (pretty obvious what they do). As the "head" of the Demon, he is known as The Demon's Head.
@soccergurl4life0308 Ra'as Al Ghul...the immortal terrorist. Basically the guy's an eco-freak who has an organization of assasins under his command. =/
@soccergurl4life0308 Ra's Al Ghul was once a member of a nomadic tribe in the Middle East, according to the Batman Encyclopedia. He became fascinated with science, and learned the secrets of a Lazarus Pit. His first wife was a woman named Sora, but one of his later wives gave him his first daughter, named Nyssa. When that wife died, he later met another woman, and had a second daughter, Nyssa's half-sister Talia.
batman the annimted series and the new batman adventures ras al ghul and harley quinn are the only 2 that look the same in both the other villians were different
I'm confused, can someone explain to me how you pronounce his name? I've heard so many different sayings (Raysh, Raz, Rass) but I don't know which one is the correct way.
Well, just to clarify things and as a speaker of Arabic myself, I can tell you that it definitely isn't pronounced Raysh Algool. In the classic Arabic dialect, it would sound like "R'as al-Ghul" (the R in Ras being rolled, the ' meaning that R and as are sort of seperated, and the Gh in Ghul being pronounced like a "French" R). Not very easy to explain, but if you don't wanna sweat trying to figure it out, just say it like they do in the video. :P
@kevindiesal actually, no. rachel was the one who dealt with him most. batman might have been set on fire and scared the crap outta crane, but Ra's ended up bein the ultimate enemy that movie. he was in charge of crane the whole time, so yeah.
The Joker and Ras Al Ghul both are considered Batman`s Arch Enemies even though Joker gets more attention. But you cant complain about the cause its the freckin Joker
Ras al Ghul was one of my favorite villains in the series. He wasn't as insane as a lot of the other Gotham villains. He had a (somewhat) reasonable goal only he took it to the extreme. He was charming, posh, and polite. He actually treated his enemies with a great deal of respect or at least with more respect than you would get from the normal Gotham rogues.
Ras al guhl was never refinished in the series and i have a feeling it was cause of his lack of appearances, but Ras al guhl is not someone for direct combat immediately like the joker or two face, he seems more of a plotter than anything else
I always found this guy to be rather boring and annoying, though he does get points for being the one villain that actually felt more dangerous than batman. This is the one fight where batman feels like the underdog.
and of course in comics or something where he might have been explored in more depth i'm sure he could be great.
Ras Al Ghul was one of the most interesting and complex villain of the DC universe, although I think he is rather down played in much of what he's in.
Damian: 4th Batman (I don´t belive he will but Whatever) i actually don´t like New Batmans because Batman actualy stand for something for Vengance!, Dick and Bruce where actualy the Only Real Batman that really Symbole Vengance, Bruce is Mental Related to Dick.
@nusucker In one of the comic books, there was a vison that Damian as a future Batman made a pact with a devil, he sold his soul for immortality and demon powers to be a gothan knight forever.
Talia Al Ghul is gonna be in The Dark Knight Rises. :P

Does anyone else think dick grayson could beat Ra's?
warhero99 1 year ago
Ra's is one heck of a scarey villain who always comes back to life. He's like Freddy or Jason. Or worse - Chucky!

i think ras would kill the joker like nothing.

@200186113 his real enemy in batman begins was scarecrow(dr. jonathan crane)
kevindiesal 1 year ago
@kevindiesal actually, no. rachel was the one who dealt with him most. batman might have been set on fire and scared the crap outta crane, but Ra's ended up bein the ultimate enemy that movie. he was in charge of crane the whole time, so yeah.

ras al ghul is one of the most boring characters in the batman series well he might be interesting and all but he is just too boring to watch
GamerzUtube 1 year ago
The Joker and Ras Al Ghul both are considered Batman`s Arch Enemies even though Joker gets more attention. But you cant complain about the cause its the freckin Joker
SuperGoku339 1 year ago
Ras al Ghul was one of my favorite villains in the series. He wasn't as insane as a lot of the other Gotham villains. He had a (somewhat) reasonable goal only he took it to the extreme. He was charming, posh, and polite. He actually treated his enemies with a great deal of respect or at least with more respect than you would get from the normal Gotham rogues.
floriszaire145 1 year ago

Original Batman: Bruce Wayne.
Jean Paul Valley: Azrael 2nd Batman.
Dick Grayson: 1st Robin, 3rd Batman.
Damian: 4th Batman (I don´t belive he will but Whatever) i actually don´t like New Batmans because Batman actualy stand for something for Vengance!, Dick and Bruce where actualy the Only Real Batman that really Symbole Vengance, Bruce is Mental Related to Dick.
nusucker 1 year ago
@nusucker In one of the comic books, there was a vison that Damian as a future Batman made a pact with a devil, he sold his soul for immortality and demon powers to be a gothan knight forever.
