thanks to this vid I figured out why I was making no progress on this move. When training this move make sure to keep your arms straight. it is also important to keep your hands facing to the sides to properly get the feel for the muscles involved in the move.
0:34 Bogdan Popa (ROM), his routine in aerobics WC 2006. Want to see more of aerobics there :) planche is a popular element in aero. Look for the routines of China groups, France trios or the 3 times world champion lady :) eg search IAC/WS 08 - Marcela Lopez
@TheAgileDorian ok, know him, but the movement on rings is easier than on floor because of the ancle in the shoulders. it´s crazy. normal people like me and you still have know idea how to come to this point.
@Sameronei haha when i first read that comment i was thinking "wtf are they talking about? maltese on the floor?" haha then i saw it and was like "HOLY CRAP THAT IS A FLOOR MALTESE!" ive never seen it done on floor
I would really like to see Bboy Junior on the rings (he couldn't do the flips at the end, because of his bad leg) ,but I'm pretty sure he could hold a planche and a maltese.
I'm just judging by the stuff I saw him doing. For example his fingertip planche pushups with a smile and he don't even need to concentrate.
I know the rings is harder, but this is my favourite of your 3, a lot of new footage I hadn't seen! So women can do flat planches eh! Also the best clip was either Yang Wei (2.31) or Rodriquez with his LOW floor Maltese! Although I think (maybe wrong) that we have to distinguish flat hands facing back (hardest) to raised hand with thumb forward 4 fingures back (Yang Wei) (Easier) Great set of videos and loved the music.
@Multilingualtricker Thanx alot! Indeed, Yang Wei uses a very rare hands positioning, which is easier globally than flat hands backward, unquestionably the hardest; but having thumb forward and fingers backward like Wei is locally hard too : it means you rely on the small upper palm,so that's very demanding on the stretch of the fingers.
@Polarcupcheck You saw that! yes it's really amazing, like his easyness on rings when getting from still hang straight to inverted cross, with this butterfly (a move now called a "balandin", by the way) !
@Rasvatri Hey, i just saw you also did a best of video about "lords of the rings", so you're a passionate too, cool; your training videos show a hard work, so far a good iron cross and nice maltese attempts, very good for your young age; remember to keep arms straight whenever possible, especially on iron cross, or else you could get bad habits on the positionning; but your trainer must have told you already! so you can do some maltese attempts on floor ? please show us! keep up!
@TheAgileDorian I'm going to post a newer video immidiatly, thanks for your support, the video I'm abbout to post is from a month or 2 months ago, thanks
@touchthatwire Excellent! well you have very strong skills on planche, so you earned your place here! gymnasts training videos are still rare on youtube. Would be great for all of us amateurs if you could upload other videos from your practice, your excercices (straddle, full, maltese if you have, floor/rings...).

@StephenConditioning Thanx! that's right, if junior could happen to jump on some rings, it'd be interesting to see his "adequacy" on it!

For Balandin to press out of that is nuts. He is stronger than I originally thought.
