  • Great system! Was that a 6.0 or a 7.3 psd? How many miles have you been running it on B100? Any problems? clogged filers? injector issues?

  • do you have a good source for me to read more about the system you have utilized? I am unfamiliar with the washing process.

  • @FlaAlfa - I encourage you to take a look at the forum for home made biodiesel. search google for biodiesel and infopop.

  • Could you please tell me how your heater is set up for the washing and drying process. (the inline heater)

  • very interested in the inline heater your using. Where can you get them? or did you make it?

  • i hear that bidiesel doesn't work will in the winter

  • @thegreatkoua - Depends on how cold your winter gets. Commercially blended biodiesel or even home-blended biodiesel should do fine. Some guys blend their bio at a strength of 20%bio to 80%petro to keep it thin enough. No sense in leaving yourself stranded.

  • Wonderful engineering sir!

  • @GmotoVT - Thank you for the kind comment.

  • Just wondering what kind of supplier do you get your methanol from?

  • Smiley's race shop in Garland, TX is a supplier of hot rod parts and all kinds of racing fuel. A race shop might be a good place to start.

  • Thank you for the generous comments. For me, biodiesel evolved from a small chemistry experiment to a part-time hobby. I use biodiesel to supplement my petrodiesel consumption when prices were above $4.00 in the summer of 2008. With prices today at $2.25, its less about saving money and more about renewable energy.

In the future, I hope to create a system has a larger capacity and takes advantage of automation equipment. For now, this will fill my needs AND be my lab.

  • great craftsmanship. i wish my processor looked as neat and tidy as yours!!

  • Thanks for the compliment. I probably put an unnecessary amount of energy into making it look clean. I do that sometimes. I've seen more basic setups that look nasty, produce equal quality fuel.

  • Yours is a processor's processor! Distills-recycles the wash-water, clean efficent- does it shine floors?(lol) I'm in Jax,FL- do you sell your glycerine? Id like to see this & you in action-Great works-excellent vidi. Thanks so much. The Best to you & yours.

  • Thank you. It distills leftover methanol from biodiesel, which makes removing excess lye even easier. I hope to add more videos soon.

  • @vegoilrecycler You have done very well, I have an idea for you, I can make methanol and I have a use for lye... there are no wastes... anyways I also am able to assist in automation, I don't charge a thing and we can sign a non disclosure if you are seeking to market this, otherwise please get ahold of me through Facebook or Gmail

    Looks like fun!

  • @SpencahD - There's nothing here that hasn't been done better by others. If you're wanting to get involved in the biodiesel community, start looking around here:

  • @SpencahD - search for the forum with these keywords: infopop, biodiesel

  • Great Job! I am interested where you get most of your info if you don't mind.

  • Nice work.
