they only did the mantra that nevada wasn't important when it became clear paul had a lot of support. it's 'fair' to use the cop-out that the others didn't campaign in nevada, but they then say that rp got low numbers in SC where he didn't campaign. the important thing is the 'longshot' shouldn't, by their standards, have ANY delegates, or beat any of their chosen candidates, and he is.

when you are constantly being label a long shot, then a 2nd place is a great win. (Anyone that has made a bet or two at a racetrack will understand.)
The former mayor of NYC at the very beginning was thought of as the favorite (of course not since the first debates) so beating him in several states is a small victory as well. When you go out and fight the battles you learn to take pride and joy in the small victories come your way.

sunnyday: Please don't talk about the fed anymore. There are federal reserve conspiracy theory debunking sites on the web, where the operations of the fed and its mandate are discussed. We all may want to return to the gold standard, and may see the fed as not good for the economy long term, but that is different from ideas of corruption and conspiracy.

If excessive attention is paid to the fed, the real problems in our economy will not be addressed. The fed during the greenspan years kept us out of recession and avoided inflation.

sunny: All these statements you've made have been debunked a thousand times. The fed reports to the congress each year, receives its mandate from the congress, is audited each year, and returns all interest earned to the U.S. Treasury. See Flaherty's nice debunking website. The fed is in charge of implementing monetary policy, a complete understanding of which was gained toward the last 1/2 of the 20th century, esp. by Milton Friedman (who received a Nobel for his work).

cv11: Here's the thing. Sure, it is blatant, but it is not purposeful. If they don't see him as a serious candidate, then that will lead to errors of omission, but many of the MSM are fairly quick to report some of his victories now. The situation in this case is an (irritating but) isolated error.

I don't personally support Ron Paul, but I respect his position on many aspects of foreign policy in avoiding getting America entangled in funding opposition groups in other countries that ends up back firing on America in the long term. He is an important voice in America, & has provided a refreshing perspective 4 Republicans to listen to, & I notice he's got support from a lot of young Dems aswell. I hope people keep him in the race.
