Sure why not? If you can multiply by 2 decimals and divide I can't see why not heh. You don't have to play without notes like I do :P. Note I NEVER EVER do calculations that involve multiplying 2 decimal numbers against 2 decimals even (to keep it simple). It's always one integer (like wind 1-9) x a decimal number.

The math I do could be performed by any high school kid.

I use trigonometry but that's as far as I can explain it. It's obviously simple enough to mentally calculate. I can't do 9+ decimal multiplication in my head lol.

A lot of it comes from self derived numbers from trial and error. I still stand by the fact that nothing beats trial and error note taking.

I went through the same thing with Moka's videos. Except he spoke all his numbers and it was all in Japanese. I didn't understand his numbers at all but I copied all his habits including his spin setting method, his toma input repeats and his yosh too.

I've pretty much given every tip over on OGP. Determined players should look up my profile and go through the various threads that I explained concepts over.

Other than that, ball slope influence gets greater as you input more power into the shot. That's the main factor that makes the 0.2 per break rule so inaccurate since it's proportional to how hard you hit it. As for the influence itself you gotta work that out :P.

Experience and family mode. Things from the net were worthless to me because my aim is entirely in powerbar units. Everything on the net as far as I know is in tiles.

Jack and I worked on getting the data for 264 drive together by combining note taking and trying to figure out the wind influence for every yard on the power meter from 80-100% for tomahawks/backspins.

So yeah it helps to have a friend research with you (especially someone who knows what they're doing).

Oh the other thing about online material. I think all the public sources of information regarding formulae and other things are usually written by players who haven't mastered the game or haven't got a clue what they're on about.

Most of these things fail and do not work across most courses. Especially the one about ball slope = 0.2 tiles per break. One of the worst assumptions out there lol.

The only formula you need is some kind of vector understanding (simple vectors mind you) within trigonometry. Applying it mentally isn't exactly easy, but there are ways to simplify it all to work within the confines of the game without having to do 2 digit by 2 digit multiplication or 6 decimal math.

Everything I memorised is very simplistic and works out quite well.

The only operations I use mathematically are multiplication, division, addition, subtraction.

Well in terms of family mode, i really get lazy to "experiment" some stuff like getting factors etc. Lucky for you guys, you are very concentrated and determined to experiment carefully. Well as of me i don't even know how to toma accurately, but its really motivating me seeing a good player play :)

I didn't understand any of the numbers Moka used in his superplays but I was able to figure out my own in about 1-2 months. Basically you don't need to know what I'm aiming to get to where I am.

It was only after a year of understanding the basic concepts and game mechanics I was able to put better data together with Jack much later. There's a steep learning curve to this game.

I think you've already surpassed his skills because as you see, you are like, the best player in Albatross18 and 1 of the top players in the whole pangya itself, since that you already sort of mastered the game, i guess all you have to do now is enjoy yourself getting 10k per 18 holes ._. This game is really addictive if your really having progress in learning the game, except for me (Im a lazy guy :P).

Actually skills-wise Moka is very strong. Even if he doesn't have a -41 score or any perfect score, his consistency and his ability to hit pangya 90%+ on a control of 17-20 makes him incredibly good.

I'd say he's beyond me if we compare skills for an offline tournament. Offline tournamanents put a lot pressure on and to be able to score -37 in an offline tournament like he does is a feat that can't be ignored.

I'm actually Korean (100%, both Korean parents) living in Sydney, Australia. As for the reason for saying it. Back last year when Sryinex and I used to watch Moka (aka FeldschlachtIII) videos we used to imitate him and exclaim yosha at a successful chipin. So basically it kinda came out by habit and the situation was so good it came out automatically.
