I don't know if it translated well on TV, but it took us (the crowd) 2 or 3 seconds when Patrick Roy jumped on the ice, I think we were just making sure it was the real one! Then crowd went INSANE! It was so loud my ears hurt. I was in section 403 and I will have my ticket framed. It was an amazing night.

I don't know if it translated well on TV, but it took us (the crowd) 2 or 3 seconds when Patrick Roy jumped on the ice, I think we were just making sure it was the real one! Then crowd went INSANE! It was so loud my ears hurt. I was in section 403 and I will have my ticket framed. It was an amazing night.

Not much of a Habs fan but heard that the celebration was awesome. They were right. To get all those retirees together and on the ice is wonderful. Pat Roy must not have seen what happened in Anaheim when Neidermeyer threw his stick over the glass. ha ha. I think were going to get to see some more hall of famers on the ice at the outdoor game. Thanks for posting this.

Thank you buffalochopper SO MUCH for posting these! I didn't get to watch it live and thanks to you got to see it all. Nobody in any professional sport honours their past greats or puts on a ceremony like the Montreal Canadiens.
Also thank you to the fans of other NHL teams for their kind and respectful comments. Nice to see that the history we are so proud of here in Montreal is appreciated elsewhere.

As a Canucks fan, The Montreal Canadians are the best team in NHL and will always be. They had the best players, the most Stanley cups, the best dynasty's, the best games, the best teams and the list continues.

The Montréal CanadiEns! With an E. The word Canadien in the french language in the early 20th century had a completely different meaning than today. It reffered only to french canadians, because the english speaking canadians were just called "les anglais". This is why the team's name is actually a Québec nationalist name.

Lemaire's tam (the Devils) were playing that night. Tremblay could have gone but he'd be booed I think. Not enough time has passed since his departure from Montreal and he's never made any attempt to make ammends or do a 'mea culpa". So last night would not have been th eplace to start!

Umm No! Bruins out-shot us 38-29,Price played amazing! he stopped a breakaway to keep the score 0-0 and killed a 5on3(2minutes) when we were up 1-0,he also killed a 5-3(2minutes) in the 3rd.
