I remember watching most of the game in regulation, but it was a school night, and I was only 14 years old (and not a diehard fan yet). I think the Sabres had 3 disallowed goals in the game, 2 of them legitimate, 1 that should have counted.
Anyway, 1:51 a.m. was the time Hannan scored. Whenever I am up that late, I cannot help to think of Dave Hannan when that time approaches.
Im not too crazy about the Buffalo announcer... but this was an incredible game. One of the best ever, in my opinion. This game put Brodeur on the NHL map.
unlike everybody here, i was merely a youngster sitting at home with my dad...n i had no school. no school to go to at age 4. so i woke up durin the nite n saw this ending n heard ted darling call it...not rj. but damn did rj nail this one lol
I was at this game and was in 10th grade at the time. My friend and I sat in the Orange's above that net we finally scored in and our dad's were in the Red's across the rink. I remember jumping out of my seat and awkwardly hugging my friend. I had a track meet the next day. Game 7 was a complete letdown.
RJ is the best play by play man. and all i remember is they were playing this again during the lock out... and i still fell asleep. (after 3 ots i just couldn't make it...)

If memory serves correct, the sabres had two goals in regulation disallowed. After the third overtime, i was sent to bed (school nite) and i had to listen to the 4th on my Walkman radio in bed.
