what are you chevy kids bantering about? thats a 445WHP 3450LB mustang without t/c against a possibly 550HP give or take 3500LB chevelle(correct me if im wrong) but that 454 is pushing out alot more than stock, just listen to those mountainous cams at idle. i think they both did fantastic and i give props to both owners, very well driven. it was a good matchup and atleast we saw the snake snake aroung with the benz lol.

The 454 has one camshaft mounted in the valley with several lobes... the mustang is a DOHC, with four cams... Anyone with a rich daddy can go out and buy a fast new car, but it takes knowledge, effort, and dedication to build a classic which distinguishes the two. The kid didn't know how to drag... he should have set in the stands for a while, and watched how the system works. There was no race. The Chevelle won every time, because it had class... and class shaves off a full second, easy.

The beautiful Chevelle ran 2 12.80s. The silly boy in the musmule ran allover the 12s. The better driver was OBVIOUSLY the bowtie driver. If the Furd was worth a crap it wouldn't need a huffer to begin with. Put a blower on the Chev and see how close that plastic horse from Furd can get too it! Also, you can bet your ass the musmule WON'T still be alive in 38 years, much less still racin!

Kyleskit, if your car does 710 at 248mph something must be wrong. Most cars that do 7.10 only get up to like 220 and you'd have to rebuild your engine block for it to reach those speeds. Wheres the vid of it? If you can afford the car you can afford a camera to video tape it

Shelbys come from the factory with a supercharger and the gt500 is actually pretty damn heavy. I just looked it up and the shelby actually is heavier then the chevelle. The shelby weighs 3920lbs vs a 1970 454 chevelle at 3800lbs. And to the guy saying mustangs are over rated.. yes they are it happens when it is americas favorite pony car. But the special ones are sweet.
