OMG! I learned this in Russian class 26 yrs. ago. I LOVE this song, except I've never known the tune, we just read it on paper. I was just reciting what I could remember to my son, and then I remembered Youtube! Thank God for Youtube!! And for whomever posted this.
However the edition of the song is fairly reproached. This its style was/is called with words like cartooning, cheap, tawdry, touristy when the free of art act was suppressed and prohibited
I don't think it's soviet. Maybe for really very adult everything from their former life can remind them of all bad things disturbed/hurted them those days? As to me, I "find and see" here myself in my kindergarten(1993-96) when there was no i. curtain and almost everything was american around unlike the current days when America's getting farther and the racistish EU - nearer. Those were the days.
this variation of the song's too soviet. when people hear something like this they imagine the iron curtain, nuclear bombs, lenin, stalin, pioneers and other old junk. and suggest you to find a better, speeded up and more cheerful edition of this song.
