Hey i got everything working only problem. It lags so hard. when i record it goes very laggy my beatbox and skips like some drums nd stuff rly just crappy. U know what could be the problem ?
@spider853 You record into clips in the session view, rather than directly into the arrangement view as he is doing in the vid. That way the clips are individually looping at their own length rather than the whole piece looping as one (ie 2 bars of bass, 4 of drums, 16 of scratches etc). It's why thats the "right" way to do this sort of thing, though one of the beauties of Ableton is that there are tons of different ways to do something, so whatever works for you is how you can operate.
Yeah, I liked it. Got my head boppin' and didn't realize it. I'm new to Ableton and this is gonna be a great tool to use for sound bites and accapella (?) loops.
uuuuuhhhmmm no. anyone who's had 10th grade sex ed knows that, and anyone who's been through high school can come up with a better insult than faggot.
i used it for like a day, and wen i looped it, it kept cutting into the recording line and started from random places, instead of starting from the start.. really wierd so i deleted it :S
I strongly recommend to anyone using Ableton Live to use the Session (or Live) view and use that for recording beatboxes, instead of using it just as an access point. From there you can sequence it as though it was a live show, and record it.
great video man, beatboxing is something I've loved doing since i was 10 years old and I never knew a good way to record it. I had it figured out in about 10 minutes with this video which is a whooooole lot quicker than tinkering with it myself
Nice tut. Thanks or that.

what software is this? i need this -.-

I don't see the point of using ableton that way.
The global record button is normally used to record a session and then afterwards adjust it in the arrangement view.
In the session view it makes more sense to record within each track

What if your base beat has 2 bars but you want to add a new sound on 4 bars?
spider853 2 years ago
really good question.
any ideas?

although your guitar imitation sounds more like a duck dying from AIDS
Souraneel 2 years ago
you can't actually die from AIDS....... it just weakens your immune system..... you typically die from a flu or a cold or some other dumb shit.
